I feel good about my decision because I would have just stressed out over it if I was gone. The girl seemed really annoyed by my days I needed off too so I think she wasnt to upset I decided not to take the job.

I think people that don't have kids (especially younger people) don't really get why you simply CAN'T come in on certain days, like days the school/daycare is closed. I lucked out with understanding bosses when I was working and had little ones, but I heard horror stories from people who had a different manager.

Well good, i'm glad you didnt' have your heart set on the job and then have to let it go.

Alex, I have to ditch you. Dh wants me to watch pride and prejudice tonight with him so I must go. He hardly wants to watch my kind of movies so I might get lucky tonight.

Oh and I just read your post. Thats the thing. She's like WHY do you have to go to your dh's holiday party? Uh DUH. and she's like well cant you leave the recital early on this day. Sorry, I wouldnt leave my daughters recital or my sons game for anything in the world!!!

Okay... YES! Fantastic 4 is exactly what came to my mind when i read that!

I am all over starting our own mechanic thingy... I would look good in some blue coveralls, although... I do look better in red!

Shawna, I totally feel you! Dh has NO desire for me to work, I have offered numerous times. But with his schedule, it just doesnt work! Besides, I have my hands full with 3 kids... I used ot work part time at Best Buy, and they had me working full time hours, and dh was NOT HAPPY. We had no time together, and when we went down to just one car, it wasnt that workable for us. So I quit.... and like 2 weeks later I was pg with Mikalah! I just wouldnt make enough money to cover daycare, pay for another car, and all the other stuff you have to pay for. So instead, he works constantly, and I am here with the little animals!

Okay... So the CCI? If anyone comes back and reads this it looks like the CCI it is. We could do 2 rooms, and see if we can get adjoining rooms. Let me see if I have this right.. Shawna, Alison, Bernice, Melody, and me. Right?

Why am I on the puter so late? Dh is home... shocking I know... Our bed is just to small for 3 people! Mikalah tried to kick him out of bed... NO DADDY!!! Mommies bed! Get out!! Oh yeah! Thats my girl! But, I decided that he can have it tonight. tomorrow, we put Mikalah in Alexs room. I didnt do it tonight because I dont have any clean sheets! A guy that dh works with is giving us a loft bed, for Alex. I asked iff it was the whole bed... mattresses and all, or just the frame. But he doesnt know. I dont need another bed!!! We can make it into a bunk bed for the kids... I hope! I fear the whole shebang falling down on Mikalah though.

We went to Famous Daves tonight... I am SO embarrassed to admit this. But I trust you all will not chastise me to much. Mikalah got scared when we walked into the restaurant, all the big animal heads everywhere and whatnot. She screamed and jumped under the table... and didnt come out the whole time we were there. I told Alex that he couldnt feed her, if she didnt want to sit at the table with us she couldnt eat... But I look over, and he is sneaking her french fries... And coloring the little color book just happy as a clam. But.... It was the most peaceful dinner I have had in 2 years. Yeah.... I suck. So we have yet another restaurant we WONT be going back to. I did make sure the floor was clean...

Oh, and guess what? Youll never get it, so I will just tell you. They messed up dh's pay... AGAIN. Im pissed... They didnt pay him his double time. They gave it to him in overtime. Grrrrr...

Well... I guess that is all from our house, went to the mall.... chased the kids around a bit... actually SAW my dh for more then just an hour! Oh, and I had a dream that all my teeth fell out... That was fun! Oooooohh... and Alex told me he wanted to buy me some god awful ugly necklace... But I told him I thought it was lovely, and then I told dh that he cant take him there when it comes time for christmas shopping for mommy!

HAPPY TURKEY DAY EVERYONE!!!

At 5am I heard the garbage truck. I woke DH up and said did you take the garbage can out? NO!!! I warned him that they would probably pick early on Thanksgiving. He thought they wouldn't pick up. The only day they don't pick up is Xmas. So he had to jump out of bed and take the garbage can down.

Anyway I am sitting here just about ready to start baking 2 apple pies. Lots of stuff to do today. We are going to eat aroudn 4-5pm. So I'm thinking sometime today I might run into town and go to Kmart and see what they have for their Thanksgiving Day sale. One year I went and they had some awesome sales! Stuff that wasn't even advertised in their ad.

GOOD MORNING HYENAS!!

I went to bed around 12:30am and was packing like crazy. I still feel like I should bring more clothes! I'm bringing my laptop and some DVD's to watch on the way to the port. Our company rented a huge charter bus (similar to greyhound). This way we won't all have to drive down to San Diego (my sister is lucky she doesn't have to drive far!)

I'm trying to wake up my boyfriend. I know he's sleepy because he came home from work late, packed until almost 5:30am and now it's time to wake up. Poor guy. I hope he sleeps on the way there.

I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! I will take lots of pics!

It's so foggy this morning. I'm glad it's not windy right now because last night we had some strong winds (I swear I didn't eat beans!!)

Stuffing made - check.
Stuffed celery - check.
Deviled eggs - check.
Pies baked - check.
Veggie tray & dip - check.
Rolled baked - check.
Olives - check.
Pickles - all I have are dill chips!!!
Fruit salad - still under construction.
Cranberry sauce - still under construction.
Potatoes & gravy - too early.

My Thanksgiving tip for the day:

Deviled eggs. Put the deviled egg mix inside of a gallon size Ziploc bag, snip off the corner. Make your own pastry bag, easily fill the eggs. Looks good and you can throw the bag away when you're done!

I am so THANKFUL this year. Last year I was midway through chemo. We got most of our dinner pre-made from Safeway and I was too tired to cook very much. It was good, but still not homemade. It's funny the strangest things make me so glad to be alive. I used to complain about standing in the kitchen all day cooking. Now I am so thankful that I am able to make another holiday dinner for my family.

They are also thankful this year, because last year I made deviled eggs (everyone's favorite) and my tastebuds were shot from chemo. I put so much vinegar & mustard in them they were sour!! The eggs this year are just right!!!!!!

What a difference a year makes! Everyone cherish this time with your family and be happy that you are healthy enough to prepare a delicious meal for everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving, hyenas!

Slept in; woke with DH still in bed, and DS3 not in my bed. WOW! Glad I didn't get too excited, though, because DS7 soon woke and joined us.

I finally got up when DS7 and DH were tickling and squealing and kicking too much, and then DH made a Starbucks run. (Have I mentioned how I love that man?)

He also brought the paper in, so I grabbed all the ads out of it and started looking. There were a few things here and there I thought were good deals, but worth getting up before dawn for? I dunno. One store had more than just a couple things I was interested in, so if I can't find those things online today I might venture out on Black Friday in the wee hours.

So now I need to bake my pumpkin and apple pies and (after DS3's nap) head down to my sister's place. My parents and both of my brothers will be there. Should be... interesting.

And one thing I am grateful for today is YOU, my little hyena friends!

My laptop died this afternoon. Big time. I think it needs a new hard drive, at least according to the error codes it's giving. So I'm back to Dising on "Old Faithful". It might be big, it might be slow, but it works. Wonder if looking at all those Black Friday ads fried the hard drive?

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm letting my food settle before I attack the pies! Now I'm off to look at a few more ads. DD & I went to Kmart while waiting for the turkey to cook. Got some nice bed pillows for $2.50. They had a good sale on kids pajamas (2 pair of thermal pj's for $9) and half price pj's for DD. Got a few things!

I told DD she could tell me where she wanted to go tomorrow and what time we should get up. This is her trip, I'm just the chauffer.

Welllll... I think I am thankful for you all... This has been the worst year ever for me, and I am so glad I had all of you guys to talk to. Dh is great, but there are things he just has no idea how to handle, like feelings. AND I am thankful that I finally have a relationship with my sis. I have never had that, and now that I do... it is great! Oh yeah... the kids and dh are nice to have round sometimes to!
