Well wonders of wonders. :umbrella: It is actually raining here. Yay! :yay:

I just hope that Dave is fine. He's hauling a tree grinder to the Bay area, from the Sequoia National forest. He doesn't usually travel this far. And I just got a call from him. He's frustrated, because they sent him on a wild goose chase up the wrong highway to Morro Rock. Well if you have ever been on any of these roads, they are not big rig friendly. So he had to turn around,(thank goodness, he was able to do that :scared1: ) and go back down the hill, and start all over again up another highway. :sad2: This time to Lodgepole. I guess the only good thing about all of this, is he gets to charge for all of these extra hours.

Hope everyone has a nice day! :goodvibes

Morning Hyenas!

Gosh I feel like I havent been on in forever. We are almost done!!!!

Today I am taking the day off from the floors to get costumes around. I need to find a crown for Morgan's White Witch outfit. I think we have figured out the hair!!!

Jake is superman and I have to take his costume in because he is too short for it but wanted the big boy Superman version because it had muscles!!!

Ok off for the day. hope everyone is doing good. If there is something I have missed that is major PM me because I will never catch up!

I'm always in awe of some truck drivers, it seems like they can get through even the toughest driving conditions. I say SOME drivers because obviously they aren't all good. But how do they know they're vehicle so well? They always seem to know exactly how much room they have when turning around, it's pretty impressive if you ask me.

Awe, I miss halloween. People here don't trick or treat they just use it as an excuse to dress up and party (like they needed one  ) so there are no big bulks of candy in the store to buy. This will be the first halloween in like 3 years that I won't gain 10 pounds! :cool1:

How's the weather lookin? I'll be in California the week after next, think I'll have warm weather?

Its been really cold here lately, it was in the high 60's low 70's a few days ago, but the last two or three have been back in the normal 80' to 90's. I understand that it is going to get REALLY cold tomorrow, then back to Santa ANA winds. (the winds reverse, and blow from the desert, making it in the high 90's to over 100, with no humidety! (FIRE DANGER AGAIN!):wizard:
You should be O.K., bring a heavy coat!:wizard:

lol, that's funny to me because the high 60s low 70's is still warm to me, not cold lol. I don't think I'll need to bring a heavy jacket but a sweater for the evening for sure. I'm just thrilled because I don't have snow here yet so weater in the 70's or higher is the icing on the cake.

remember, I am in San Diego. The weather in central California and northern is VASTLY different! Whenever I travel, I always try and use Weather.com, they seem to have a fairly accurate forcast!!

(BTW, DW and I are planning to go on the Cross Canada train trip next year!):woohoo:

I just checked weather.com and it said pretty much the same thing you said so I'm too worried. Even if it's cold I'll probably still be warm.

You will LOVE Canada. Does the train go all the way from the west coast to the east coast? What an adventure! You'll love it. What time of year are you planning for?

What's up hyenas? Today is a bit frustrating for me at work. I'm currently on my lunch break and am just DIS'ing right now.

Christina- your sig background reminds me of the horror movie I saw!! :scared1:

This morning it was 52 degrees outside and freezing! I had to turn on my seat warmer in my car to defrost my buns!

Now it's much warmer and is around mid 70's. I got oatmeal from Corner Bakery this morning. It comes with a side of brown sugar and I also got a small chocolate bundt cake for later. These are the only things I recommend eating there. :thumbsup2

I noticed that DL has Christmas items already. It seemed kinda strange that they skip Thanksgiving and jump straight to Christmas. :confused3

I'm jealous of my sister's ocean breeze in SD!

I wish we had SD weather here. It's too hot!! :faint: I'm so ready to have chestnuts roasting on an open fire and have Jack Frost nipping at my nose (but without giving me a cold). :rolleyes1

We are looking at the May time frame! It goes from Vancouver to Toronto, and back! We decided to go west to east, then fly back!

WE have gone on a trips to Alaska also. the first time, we drove to Prince Rupert, then took the Alaska state ferry north. The second time, we flew to Bellingham washington, and again the state ferry north. We are now thinking about a driving trip to Canada (besides the train trip!) where we just go to a few nice hotels etc. We saw the new show at the Canadian pavillion at WDW. We have always like the Idea of going to a country where everyone lives in an igloo!!:rotfl2: (Ya gotta see the first part of the show to get that!!)

Alaska is awesome. I hope to go back there some day. I went on a 1 week cruise to Alaska about 3 years ago. My family and I went through Royal Caribbean and had a blast. I loved the weather (we went during summer time) and the scenery there. We stopped in various places but my favorite was Ketchikan. We got to canoe in the pouring rain (and I mean pouring) and we stopped at this cool spot that looked like a rain forest and they gave us hot chocolate. We raced another group just for fun and whooped them big time. :rotfl: Afterwards they provided us with a BBQ meal outdoors. It was next to a small waterfall where we could see salmon swimming upstream to lay their eggs. The salmon there taste sooo good! :yay:

Hi Christina,

Thanks for the compliments on DH. Yes driving a big rig is not easy. And he happens to drive one of biggest rigs around. He hauls huge contruction and farm equipment around on a lowbed. There are times when he needs a pilot car to lead the way. One of his biggest pet peeves are truckers who don't know what they are doing, and everyday drivers, who don't seem to be aware that trucks can not stop or switch lanes fast. It's un-real what cars will do in front of him, or when they are trying to get on the freeways. There is only so much room for him to get over, and when he can't, some cars just keep going over like he can get out of the way. He can't believe they won't slow down. :sad2:
Anyways, how are you, besides not getting fat on Halloween candy?
I read your post the other day about the Scots and their drinking. I always heard alot about the Irish, but I didn't know the Scots liked to too! Yucky....pee and barf on the roads! :scared:

Next time you go, don't go on a cruise! DW and I went on the Ferry system, had a cabin to ourselves, and stayed at B&B's, the total cost was less than a third of the cost of a cruise, AND we were there for two weeks. We were souvineer shopping at some of the stores near the pier. When the clerks found out that we were not on a cruise ship, the prices dropped about 70 to 75 percent! (the ship had left) The problem is we are not really big souvineer buyers, just some small stuff for the kids etc. We got all kinds of good deals that way, including a free parking pass for our rental car! :woohoo:

spin spin spin!!!! :P

soooo uhhh, im having fun pissing off the our union... hahahaha :P

As long as you are aware Canadians do not actually live in Igloos :rotfl2: I saw this thing where an american was telling a Canadian that we need vehicles because dog sleding is cruel  Yeah there is no dog sledding or igloo building. Maybe up in the territories (I've never been there). But if you go in May the snow SHOULD be melted by then  Alaska sounds fun, my grandparents took a cruise and loved it, seems a bit cold for me, I prefer to vacation where it's warm but it still does sound pretty.

Yeah dh's dad is a truck drivers so dh has taught me about safe driving around trucks and it may save my life one day. Last winter, the roads got really icy and even Canada people don't know how to drive on icy roads and there was a big rig behind us and we came up to a red light, we checked our mirrors and this little car darted in between us and the truck on an icy road at a stoplight at the last minute. The truck started fish tailing or whatever it's called and we're like, uh-oh we're gonna get hit but somehow the truck driver was able to get his truck under control, he had to go in the shoulder but at least he didn't hit the ditch and he managed to avoid hitting the car that cut him off. It was pretty lucky and scary because even a little bump would have sent that little car flying and it would have hit us pretty hard.

I'm good, we have the keys to our new flat but dh doesn't want to move in yet because we won't have internet hooked up :sad2:
