Good morning, hyenas!
Raining here. You weren't expecting anything else, I hope?
Sorry, Staley-girl! I popped on quickly last night before we started a movie, but no one else was here so I left. We bought the Transformers movie at Costco yesterday because I knew DH would love it. (I saw it this summer in the theater with DS7.) We popped popcorn and all had a great "movie night"!
DH had bought me some Henry Weinhard's black cherry cream soda, so I grabbed a chilled bottle and popped the lid, taking a giant swig as I sat down for the movie. AAAGGGHHH!!! It wasn't soda, it was some specialty beer that someone had given DH, and the taste of beer makes me gag! (Similar bottle.) OMG, I took a big old drink before I realized it, so had to go spit out the rest and wash my mouth out. UGH, I get the chills just remembering it now.
Costco still had some dress-up costumes, and there was a cute silvery knight one and a wizard one, both of which I thought DS3 would enjoy. The knight one had red feathers at the top of the hood, and I thought those would get ruined in a hurry, either by DS3 or the cat;
the wizard one had a black pointy hat and a cape, black with shiny blue stars all over, plus a wood-look wand with a light at the end.
DS3 got into it as soon as we got home, and he looked soooo cute! Not only that, he was swinging the wand and it lit up. He asked me, "How it do dat?" and I said I didn't know. We looked at the base of the wand, and saw it had a little button to push, and when you do, the tip lights up and blinks for a few seconds, and it makes a cute whooshing "pixiedust" sound!
I was off doing something else for a bit, but when I saw him next, he was all dressed up, flicked the wand at me and shouted, "Wee-dic-a-luss!"
Apparently he'd insisted to Daddy that he wanted to watch a Harry Potter movie (he's seen the first one), and he was spell-casting.
I think somebody might have to be a wizard (instead of a pirate) for Halloween. Soooooo funny to watch!
Anyway, gotta rush now to get ready for DS3's soccer game this morning. It's the last one, thank goodness, because he isn't as into it as we thought he'd be. Tonight my family is coming over to celebrate my birthday (belatedly, since we were in DL on the actual day), so hoping for a fun day today!
