My bf was wearing a beanie because it was cold and windy over there. They probably thought he was some gangsta wannabe. :rotfl2: It just goes to show you that you can't judge a book by its cover. :rolleyes1

You should have made that lady eat her hat! ;)

No kidding!!! We are pretty used to it though - we look younger then we are and have had the problems forever. When we bought our first car (a new chevy blazer), the guy laughed and asked if we wanted to look at whatever the cheapest car was, that there was no way in hell we could afford the blazer. I told him to run my credit before he made assumptions - once again he ran back apologizing and sold me the truck.

I test drove the brand new '08 Subaru Impreza WRX hatchback. It was so awesome! It has a turbo! The brakes were so responsive and it didn't cause a jerking motion. It also handles turns very well and tight corners. I took it on the freeway and went 85-90mph but my bf couldn't tell because the ride was smooth. I also drove the new model without the turbo and it felt like my car now.

The salesman asked my bf what model he had and what the mileage was. He said he has an '02 and it only has 20K miles on it. That shocked the heck out of him too.

Alright - I have to jump in the shower and get ready for work. So I will yap with you all later!!! Hopefully now I can stay caught up - I missed you guys:grouphug:

Eeeewwwwwww That not coffee!! Coffee has Caffine!! Coffee GOOOODD.
I like the Trader Joes Kona(its a weekend treat) because its kinda pricy!:coffee:
I won't disagree. I'm not fond of decaf at all, but it's what DH has to drink, so I occasionally grin and bear it for his sake. :)

Kona is my absolute favorite coffee, too. We buy lots of it when we go to Hawaii... which we haven't done for about 5 years now. But we are planning a trip for next fall to celebrate our 15th anniversary!

Ugh... my brother in law had a heart attack.:guilty: :headache: Like we need anything else to happen in our family right now. He was only in surgery for about an hour or less... So it went well, and he is expected to be just fine. :thumbsup2 But still... My poor sis is having a really rough time right now. First, they are flat broke... I mean they are having issues paying bills because of her surgery at the beginning of the summer, and her job just about has her over the edge.... This just topped the cake for her. It was all dh could do to stop me from jumping in the car and driving straight to the airport! My sister said not to come yet, wait and see how he is first, and he seems to be okay.... I guess.:confused3

Oh my goodness!! That is alot of stuff going on. I hope he is OK soon! How old is he, and where do they live? What's your Mom going to do?

GEESH, he must be really young for that! I'm so sorry. I know how your DSis feels, it's just overwhelming at first. :flower3:

Things will get better. He will need to eat differently, just like my DH. I'm guessing from what little you know that he didn't have much damage to the heart, which is a great sign. It's a big old punch-in-the-gut kind of wake-up call, but better this way than something far worse. He'll probably live much healthier because of it. Hugs to you and your DSis.

Well, I am just minutes away from a yummy dinner of grilled salmon, steamed cauliflower, French bread and some sort of fruit (haven't decided yet...) Just wanted to stop by and see what was going on today. Sorry to hear it was scary news from Staley. :(

Hope you all are doing well, and since DH is running outside to grab the salmon off the grill, I'm guessing dinner is burning/it's time to eat!

I'll try to get on later tonight. Take care, everyone! :goodvibes

Wow, I am sure he will recover O.K., It looks like he got to medical attention before it was too late. That seems to be the important part, is to immediately seek attention!

Yeah, its bad here too. The smoke from the fires started to drift over the house eariler today! Now I have ash coming down on my lawns. the Smoke is getting to the point that whole house smells of it, despite the air cleaners we have going!

coooool... i love SD... :P

you should just work at Sea World... :)

no, I don't like fish..I have thought about retiring and trying for a job at DL, but I think the commute would be bad, unless I can figure out a way to work two or three days (part time?) staying at a hotel, etc. and then come home. :wizard:
