What now????????????

oh nothing. its just boring and tiring...

i got off at 12:30AM, and start at 11:15AM... kinda pisses me off they do that... :\ only got like 6 hours of sleep and i need to go pick up my Zune now... at 9:00.

Good morning, hyenas!
Raining here. You weren't expecting anything else, I hope?

hello Everyone!! Well... Im starting to worry about Alex.. I hope everything is okay, its most unlike her to miss so much time with us. :grouphug:
Sorry, Staley-girl! I popped on quickly last night before we started a movie, but no one else was here so I left. We bought the Transformers movie at Costco yesterday because I knew DH would love it. (I saw it this summer in the theater with DS7.) We popped popcorn and all had a great "movie night"!

DH had bought me some Henry Weinhard's black cherry cream soda, so I grabbed a chilled bottle and popped the lid, taking a giant swig as I sat down for the movie. AAAGGGHHH!!! It wasn't soda, it was some specialty beer that someone had given DH, and the taste of beer makes me gag! (Similar bottle.) OMG, I took a big old drink before I realized it, so had to go spit out the rest and wash my mouth out. UGH, I get the chills just remembering it now. :crazy2:

Costco still had some dress-up costumes, and there was a cute silvery knight one and a wizard one, both of which I thought DS3 would enjoy. The knight one had red feathers at the top of the hood, and I thought those would get ruined in a hurry, either by DS3 or the cat; the wizard one had a black pointy hat and a cape, black with shiny blue stars all over, plus a wood-look wand with a light at the end.

DS3 got into it as soon as we got home, and he looked soooo cute! Not only that, he was swinging the wand and it lit up. He asked me, "How it do dat?" and I said I didn't know. We looked at the base of the wand, and saw it had a little button to push, and when you do, the tip lights up and blinks for a few seconds, and it makes a cute whooshing "pixiedust" sound! :rotfl:

I was off doing something else for a bit, but when I saw him next, he was all dressed up, flicked the wand at me and shouted, "Wee-dic-a-luss!"
Apparently he'd insisted to Daddy that he wanted to watch a Harry Potter movie (he's seen the first one), and he was spell-casting. :rotfl2:

I think somebody might have to be a wizard (instead of a pirate) for Halloween. Soooooo funny to watch!

Anyway, gotta rush now to get ready for DS3's soccer game this morning. It's the last one, thank goodness, because he isn't as into it as we thought he'd be. Tonight my family is coming over to celebrate my birthday (belatedly, since we were in DL on the actual day), so hoping for a fun day today!

HEY, You described my jammies!:cool2:

Another quickie today, since I'm supposed to be cleaning house before my family comes over. :teeth:

DS3's soccer game went reasonably well. The other team had only 4 kids today, I think we had 5. One of theirs looked like a 2yo, but he was hustlin'! Of course, he was also picking up the ball and running with it, or when someone from our team was going to make a goal, he'd lay down on it and hug it so they wouldn't kick. Cute, but darn frustrating after the first few times. Especially when his coaches let him carry the ball down to in front of our goal, place the ball and kick it in, then went "Yay!" and carried him away on their shoulders.

Let's just say that DH has discovered I DO have a competitive bone in my body, and it's probably a good thing I'm not the coach. :rolleyes1

The season is over for DS3, so after the game we had cupcakes to celebrate, and one of the parents had ordered small trophies for the kids - Cute! DS3 loves his trophy, much more than actually playing the game, of course...

So now he's down for nap, and DH and DS7 are off to DS7's soccer game. I'm bummed to be missing it, but it's probably just as well. I nearly went hoarse again cheering for DS3's team this morning, so better to give my voice (and my competitive bone) a rest.

OK, off to housework... :laundy:

Let's hear you say how excited you are to play blue tarp after about 10 hours of road trip with the kids!:lmao:

*yawns*

tired... I hate work now... :|

Albort, you need to polish off your resume and get your butt out there and get a new job!:thumbsup2 Life is too short to be stuck in a job that's not really to your liking. You can find something that you like better!:thumbsup2

Good Afternoon Hyenas! I had a fun filled day planned. I was going to take a friend and go to the Northwest Women's Show at the Convention Center. But then DD called and I had to drive to Vancouver to pick her up, then her and her friend wanted to stop at the mall. We did really well, except for the one little fight. Try explaining to a 15yo why she can't have the naughty nurse halloween costume! Yes, I know she doesn't look like the Hoochie Mama on the front of the package, but I still am not letting her wear it!

Then we went to Red Robin for lunch. I LOVE their guacamole burgers!!! And I drank 4 glasses of strawberry lemonade!

Now I'm back home. DD went out with her boyfriend and DH & DS are not yet back from their trip to work on setting up elk camp. DS was really excited because he gets to shoot a gun for the first time today. We let DD skip school yesterday and go help set up camp. She is now thinking that she might want to go hunting next year. Oh great, guess I will have to buy a bigger freezer! Plus I'm just wondering how well it will go over if she gets an elk and DH doesn't!:lmao:

It rained like crazy all day today, but looks like it's finally letting up this evening. Hope everyone had a great day!:) :) :)

Hello!! Another boring day at our house. DH worked last night, of course and since we have to save every dime for our Christmas trip.... we are going to be spending alot of time at home for the next few weeks. Alex has watched Halloween movies all day... he says he loves scary movies, but I just dont see how scary movies on the Disney channel actaully are!:lmao: Now they are all cuddled up on the couch watching Corpse Bride... I decided to sit that one out!

I also figured out our budget for our next trip today....:scared: Eeeeekkkk!!! But since it will be our last trip for a year, I figure we should make the most of it! Also trying to figure out a game plan for 9 people is not a whole lot of fun. Ooooohhhh.... That reminds me. I need to make ressies for parking at the airport.

hmm, I think that our Christmas trip last year was more expensive than any other one we have done.

I'm looking at air fare at Christamas for my MIL, cheaper than flying her here at Thanksgiving, but still not as cheap as having her come out for a full week in November . :sad1: ($150 difference)

Today we explored Riverside, lots of beautiful neighborhoods with huge palm trees and flowers along the streets. Very pretty old churches, cute little bungalows.
Our city is "new" compared to Riverside. Don't have the old growth trees and classic architecture. Didn't realize I missed that until we were driving today.

Hit up a Von's, got a few things for free (double coupons). This was just a trial run, get a feel for the store and test how picky cashiers can be with the coupons. Nice store, I was blown away by the wine section. I still find it odd to see alcohol sold in grocery stores and drug stores. (Not allowed in MN)

On to the world of nature at my house....
The boys found a huge praying mantis on the patio. Wicked cool looking, the cat pawed at it, then decided to leave it be in favor of a centipede (ewww) to chase.
Noticed a beetle, or maybe something more icky :scared: , scuttle away under the concrete when entering our apartment... as long as it stays outside I am just fine.
I have a spider living in my bathtub. It's not bothering me , but if it's still there in the morning that sucker is going down the drain.

What is with the bugs here?? They are all huge!

 I HATE BUGS. Dh is especially creeped out by preying Mantises. We were on our porch one night, and one fell on his shoulder... Scared the crap out of him! The next night he was at work, and one fell right in front of him on his machine! He about crapped his pants!:lmao:

Yeah... I have been awaiting any airfare sales for this trip... but I have found none. :guilty: SO I got our one ways on miles, and I am going to use the rest of them to cover half of our way back. So, heres hoping we only have to pay $400. for our flight. I got a good deal on a rental van.... $357 for a week through Alamo. MUCH better then the rest of the companys, who all wanted like $650 for it! The hotel is running a bit high, but what can you do? The thing that is getting me the most, is that pay day lands the day AFTER we get there. Stupid planning on my part, I usually have us getting there on or after payday, just so we have that extra little bit of leeway. I am AWFUL at saving money... So hopefully it works out, and we are not subject to sleeping in the car!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The worst part is that my sister is flat broke, and we want to help her, but she wont let us... :sad1: She said she might have to apply for another credit card just to get through the next few months, and I told her we would help her out!!! But she will have none of that.

oy...where is everyone? :guilty: Dont you all know there is nothing on tv on Saturday night!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

wow its really been quiet around here since everybody went to DL...whats up with that??? My day was supposed to be uneventful except for going to the movies...which btw NEVER happened...the only other thing I had planned was to get my oil change and fluids/air checked for my trip wed. and ended up finding out that my battery is leaking acid...now i have a kia...and one thing I know about kias is they are good cars...they work well for you...however, the down side (oh and you know there is always one) is that when a part is needed you 1...pay a fortune for it..and 2..its hard to find....so they tell me they can order the battery but it would cost me $128...and im like:scared1: so I decide to call around thinking...surely I can find one at walmart or something...nope:sad2: the cheapest I could get it was through an auto part store called Napa and they had to order it but it will be here Mond..and I had to pay $77:guilty: which is not a good thing considering Im having money issues anyways...thank god I decided only to stay the 2 nights or else I would be really upset right now...
but the good thing is I will have money waiting for mewhen I get back from DL:cool1: so i will be ok:thumbsup2

so tonight I went over earlier and watched bb...gave him a bath and bottle and he fell to sleep:cloud9: bless him...then when his mom and dad got back I brought his mom with me and she took tiffany to the bar:rotfl: I was supposed to be designated driver but Kayce (gd Lexie's mom) went for awhile too and she drove them to the 2nd bar of the evening so I am now home ready to talk and where is everybody??:confused3 gah

I'm here but not really as I am typing and thinking about getting another diet coke before I put on my jammies and let the dogs out for their evening break before they go into the kennels and then get the good kona beans out for tomorrow mr tom morrow, think i have had a little too much caffine!

Later....:wizard:

Good morning, hyenas!
It is...wait for it...not raining at the moment! :woohoo:

Of course it's gray skies and has been raining, so I have no doubt we'll see some more today, but for the moment it has stopped.

Mmmmmm, did somebody mention coffee??? :)

DH and I are currently sipping some Disney French Vanilla (decaf) coffee. As much as I hate the coffee in the park/hotels, this is a bit yummy! Especially considering it's decaf, not bad at all. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Most of my family came over last night for dinner and birthday celebration, which was really nice. We went to Olive Garden for dinner, then my mom ordered an entire tiramisu for my "birthday cake".

We brought dessert home and chatted a bit (about our DL trip, what else), then opened a few presents and ate the tiramisu. My DSis gave me a bundle of cool Disney embellishments for scrapbooking, yay!
