A limo, how fun!

I know right? but hey you're only 21 once ....

The only time I was in a limo was for rmy best friend's wedding. We got to ride in it from the hotel to the beach where she got married (about a 10 minute drive) and then from the beach to the hall where the reception was (about 45 minutes). We had a great time.

the first time I rode in a limo was when my brother came down from San Francisco one time....and he took me and my dd and my friend all over the place...it was fun...since then ive ridden in a couple limo's in vegas...from/to the airport and the strip tour...we had alot of fun on that one...our driver took us to some sweet places to watch the pirate show and the bellagio fountains...had great views...i was lucky this time...my bb's grandfather purchased a limo so when he retires he is going to suppliment his income by having a limo service....so he is going to drive everybody to modesto...told him i would buy his dinner:goodvibes

woohoo! that's cool, your own personal limo service. :goodvibes

man am i ever being a lazy bum today...I just have the blahs....I managed to take a shower and sweep the kitchen floor and i am washing up a few dishes...I am going to make a stew tonight for dinner...easy enough to put together and it takes care of itself on the stove...it was my moms recipe and she called it an irish stew...have no idea why:confused3 but I take 2 cans of plain corned beef...not hash just corned beef...flake them in a bowl and cut up about 6 or so nice size potatoes into small to med. chunks...add the two to the pot and add 3 cans of stewed tomatoes...usually the stewed tomatoes have half of the tomato in each piece so I squeeze each piece in my hand so its not big pieces and then mix together and cook until potatoes are done...then im gonna make drop buscuits to go along with it:goodvibes

as far as I know, yep.

The first Sunday in November it will be just hubby and me, celebrate our anniversary

Woot! That's awesome! :yay: I guess it's good I'm not going to DL since I have to save up for the cruise next month!

i really need to find some nice bedroom shoes...I want fluffy and soft...I looked at walmart but I didnt like none of theirs...i guess i should try target but the one thing I like about walmart slippers is they are under $5:confused3 so I totally forgot that Fantasmic is only on weekends right now which means I will have to stay at DL on friday until the first show is over...which also means staking out a place at 8pm...Im gonna be sooooooo tired...but I figure if I have a boatload of coffee to drink I should make it home by 3am....and then I will sleep all weekend:rotfl:

I have the blah's this week too, must be contagious.

I did absolutely nothing today, beyond walking down to buy a diet coke.
Haven't done the laundry yet this week, it's growing and I'm closing my eyes wishing for it to disappear. .... That doesn't work though--- grumble grumble... Would be a good way to waste time on Saturday, we usual just hang around the house anyway.

Hi Lynn! I gotta run-break time is over. I'm swamped at work! I can't even see half of my desk. :faint:

Did they fianlly make an offical announcement? I know Al Lutz has been hashing on and on about this for awhile.
I'm excited to see the changes. When we first started going we used to like DCA, lately we rarely bother entering DCA.:confused3
Hubby commented that it "doesn't feel right over there, the music is all wrong and there's not much to do".

My family liked it better than DL! Of course we know they are all crazy! They spent most of their time over there when we went in June. Go Figure!!

hmmmm too far for my transportation option today-- feet!

---------------------
ok, got the real deal from LP... I wondered how this retheming would tie in with the DCA name.. this snippet is what caught my eye.....

"The creative evolution of Disney's California Adventure will connect Guests to Walt's own California adventure and reflect the place that he found when he first arrived with a cardboard suitcase in his hand and a head full of dreams."

So it's Walt Disney's California Adventure >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WDCA

Just where do you buy a cardboard suitcase at?? The liquor store??

And another that caught my eye from a Wall Street Journal article:

"The Mulholland Madness ride, which re-creates a careening drive along a famous Los Angeles street, will be rethemed featuring Disney characters."

umm, I didn't realize that it even HAD a theme to begin with. Did anyone know it was based a on a famous street? Most not be too famous, no connection for a person like me who is not a native Californian, I had no clue.

I thought Lutz said they were ripping it out. It's one of the rides that I wish would disappear.. Maliboomer and Golden Dreams can join the junk pile as well IMO. Golden Dreams, snore fest...
Maliboomer -- not family friendly.

From what I read.. those will be gone.

But why oh why keep the MM ride??? :sad2:

I like the MM ride. It based on Mulholland Drive isn't it? Which is the windy road that goes along the hills around LA. Isn't that where all of the rich guys wreck their Ferrari's?:rotfl2: They also have a similar ride at Animal Kingdom, only it's called Triceratops Spin. Same track layout and everything, only the cars spin around so you never know what what you will be facing. Not a good ride to go on right after you eat a buffet breakfast at Donald's Breakfastsaurus!

Lynn, since when is sweeping, doing dishes and making dinner being lazy? Sounds like you've been busy to me!

Bernice, ended up going to Fred Meyer instead of Albertson's. I was low on gas and needed to fill up at their gas station (but then I forgot)! Here were my deals of the day:

Organic hamburger on clearance, plus I had a buy $5, get $2 off on organic meat coupon.

$8.00 off due to my frequent shopper coupons.

$1.25 each for 5 huge bottles of fabric softener on clearance.

Spend $2 on school/stationery supplies, get $2 off. FREE pens!!

Two huge packages of steak strips for $1.49 a pound. Basically good steak, just the end pieces that are cut funny!

Cantaloupe - 38 cents a pound.

Spend $5, get $2 off on health items. Colgate toothpaste - large tube w/free toothbrush on package 2 for $4, kids Aquafresh $2.00, but had a $1 off coupon. So I got 3 packages of toothpaste & 2 toothbrushes for $3!

Plus, the cashier got totally confused on the clearance fabric softener. It had a sticker that said $2.50, plus an additional 50% off. But it was ringing up at $3.99. So she tried to back it out, but it wouldn't back out the $2.00 discount. So she ended up giving me a $6 credit on my receipt, far be it from me to tell her how to do her job!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1
