I've seen good reviews with food allergies at Boma. Meaning it was handled well and they had great experiences. I'm just concerned about the peanut rice they serve at dinner. I realize it's a buffet and there is always a chance of contamination. Just looking for someone else who may have had recent experience and how they felt about it. I've heard the chef will walk you through and even make food if you have a significant concern.

Thanks in advance!

We went to Boma in May with my son-in-law and his little boy, both of whom have peanut/tree nut allergies. There were no issues at all. They talked to the waiter? host? and the chef came out, too. There was no peanut rice on the buffet that night (they don't serve peanut rice every night) and they were careful to point out which foods they should NOT have. Chef said they'd cook for SIL/son if he was worried about cross-contamination, but SIL said no problem, they'd just avoid anything he thought would be a problem. MOST dishes were nut free... maybe not the salmon (?) but the nuts were obvious so that would have been avoided anyhow. Anything with nuts was clearly labeled (like Macadamia Nut cheesecake... not that this was a dessert, just an example of the clear labeling). There was PLENTY for them to eat, and the little guy was particularly enamored by the zebra domes!

There are different levels of peanut allergies. Disney is pretty good about it and the chef will walk with you through it but if it’s a very intense allergy that requires more care
