Hi Fellow May Disney Fans,
My family is planning a May trip for SWW. We are hoping that the dates we can go to Disney turn out to be the first weekend for SWW. My kids will miss three days of school but if things go like they did this year it shouldn't matter.
For this trip it will be me, DH and DS(8). We are also taking my two DN(10 and 12). My DM is going to stay home with our new DD (2 months). We are going to take her in November when it's cooler and we have more time. Our May trip is for DS Birthday and our focus is just going to be on SWW.
My family is looking forward to this trip since we weren't able to work one in this year. Our new baby is one reason we decided to skip this year and also the passing of my Grandfather - it made me realize we might not have much more time with my Grandmother who turns 93 in December. We love to go to Disney in November for Thanksgiving but have decided to spend Thanksgiving with family so my Grandmother can spend as much time with our new addition as possible.
That brings us to booking TWO trips for 2013 (our regular Thanksgiving Trip and then our "2012 Make Up" trip for SWW.
I have already started planning and reading the DIS. My kids (will include my DN in "Kids" when mentioned) can't stop talking about it and are already looking for SW clothes to wear. It's getting costly and we haven't even booked tickets and dinning. We have however, booked our resort. We will be camping at Fort Wilderness Campground. It's our Home away from Home. We have a 5th Wheeler and love to camp.
Our plans so far are as follows: (of course this will change since we have 321 Days to go)
Thursday, May 16
We plan to pull out no later than 6am and hope to arrive at the Fort around 1. I figure we will check in, pick up our golf cart and seat up camp. Once all this is done we can head over to Trails End to eat dinner. Then back to the camper to watch one of the Star Wars movies before heading to bed.
Friday, May 17
We hope to be at DHS at least an hour before rope drop so that I can be sure to get the kids registered for the Jedi Training. Then our plans are to spend all day at DHS doing everything we can SW. Since this will be our first SWW I'm still researching things to see and do.
Breakfast will be at the camper. Lunch will be some kind of counter service and Dinner will be at 50's PTC.
Saturday, May 18
]If we did Jedi Training on Friday then our plans are to be at DHS right around rope drop. Again all day will be about SWW.
Breakfast will be at the camper, Lunch a counter service and Dinner will be at the Sci-Fi Cafe.
Sunday, May 19
This will be our day to do everything we can SW so we will be at rope drop and stay until the park closes. Breakfast will be at the camper, Lunch a counter service and Dinner will be at Mama Melrose.
Monday, May 20
Sleep in a little, head over to Trails End for breakfast and then pull out no later than noon. That way we should be home just in time to put the kids in bed so they can go to school the next day. They will only have the rest of the week before summer vacation.
I can't believe I was able to type all this. But I will have to say goodbye for now. Maddie is crying and wants some attention.
