UnOfficial March 2012 Trip Planners Tread-DIS Meet 3/8 Info Pg 1

Hello, This is my first time on posting on this site. I'll be traveling to the World March 9-15 with a friend who has never been. We are trying to decide if a the dining plan that includes one sit down meal a day is a good plan. I'm concerned we might not be able to get ADR's @ quality venues since we are going during spring break. I can navigate the parks like a ninja, but have limited experience with dining plans. Any thought on this or anything else would be much appreciated! princess:

Been there\done that. You can still get good ADR's.

Go the reservation site and throw some requests out there and see what come back. If it doesn;t look good, skip on the DDP.

I don't get why people stress out so much about a vacation. Add an extra day if you think you aren't going to get to do everything you want. That's what I did! Go with the flow and chill out. Disney World is not going anywhere. :goodvibes

Sadly, not everyone is lucky enough to extend their vacation by a day, or even a few hours. :guilty:

Hi Everyone!
I'm a little late to the discussion but so excited I just booked a trip for March 6-10th with my DD. It's going to be interesting because DH has to work and can't join us. I'm looking forward to having some great bonding time though :)

Just saw this thread today...My wife and I will be Cruising on the Dream March 1-4, then at Pop from the 4th through the 15th. We'll be celebrating our 13 year anniversary
Doing Ohana's Monday evening (5th) around 5ish, and on the 12th as well.
Liberty Tree Tavern on the 13th. At some point we'll probably hit 9 Dragons, Le Chef's de France, Earl of Sandwich, and ???. We don't plan too many Dinners, and go with the flow. We'll see what happens. We primarily eat at EPCOT often. Trying the Fireworks Dessert Party on the 14th. Also might try to get a Keys to the Kingdom Tour...again, we'll see. :thumbsup2

I just wanted to stop by and let my friends here know why I have been MIA. On Monday I lost my eldest DS and have been dealing with that the past few days, this is the second son I have last. My baby and only other son passed away in July 2009.

Sorry about not updateing the thread, just not up to it right now.

Do you guys have anything special planned to celebrate it just being you two for the trip?

Congratulations on 13 years! I'm super jealous that you get to celebrate your anniversary Disney style! My DH would never go for that. :sad2:

Your plans sound really wonderful! :cloud9:

Not all of us have the luxury of extending our trips. We have to work with what we have. And for some of us we are used to going at fairly slow times so this will be a totally different kind of trip for us.

I agree with the PP, go on the disney site and see what you can get. I've been changing and adding or deleting things every day becuase I can't make up my mind. Some things I have wanted and haven't been able to get but I've found lots of other availability. I search as a party of 2 and a party of 3/4 sometimes to see what I can find. If I find a seating for a party of 4 I'll book it and then call in and reduce the party size over the phone.

Sadly, not everyone is lucky enough to extend their vacation by a day, or even a few hours. :guilty:

I hope you have a wonderful trip! DD and I are going just the two of us and I'm so excited to have her all to myself for a week. The last couple years have been hectic since DS came along and she and I haven't had as much time just us as we used to. Its a surprise trip for her birthday.

Whoo Hoo!! 14 more days to go!! We are going March 2nd - 9th!! Staying at CSR for the first time, super excited about it.

Huzzah for 14 more sleeps! We enjoyed CSR last May. Have you made any room requests? We stayed in Casitas (4 or 5 -- I'm forgetful and would have to go look). It was truly beautiful! Our dates will overlap, you arrive the day before we do. :thumbsup2

I just changed our flights on Monday the 12th and it says we'll arrive at MCO around 7:35pm. So if our flight is on time and we don't have to wait a long time for DME we might actually get checked in and have time to run over to MK or DHS for a quick ride on something. They are both open until 1am.

If we went to MK we could do our usual first ride on HM leaving us open the next morning to go straight to space mountain and ride a few times before the park gets too busy. We always ride HM as our first ride but I thought we might have to do it different this time to maximize our time.

But I was also thinking that DHS might be a good choice too since they have PM EMH that night. We likely wouldn't even get to a park before 10:00 or 10:30, would it be worth trying to get on ToT or something at DHS or will the lines still be really long?

Or, we might just try to get something to eat at the resort and go to bed early depending on how we feel when we get to the resort. We will have spent the weekend resting up for our trip and I imagine DD is going to be bouncing off the walls with excitement right about that time because she won't know we are going to Disney until we get to the DME area.

Or, we could go over the beaches and cream and try to have a late dinner and dessert.

I'm just about to go nuts trying to keep this surprise. I can't believe its only 25 days away!
