I love hearing about all your trips when your kids were little.

Our first trip was in 2003, our girls were 4 & 5... We were so clueless about everything WDW, that I don't think we did even half of what we could have. We didn't even know about dining with the characters until after we came home... I was so upset about that. That's why, for our trip in 2008, I researched everything, I was determined to do it right... And it was an amazing trip.

I like hearing all about your first trips - it's so magical when you see the castle for the first time.

Only 25 more days!!! I can't believe that we've kept it a secret this long. I found out that DH told some of his family members, but that's ok. His cousin & family are going to be there the same time we are, so we're doing the Wild Africa Trek together. I worried that my DFiL would blurt out the news, but since we don't have plans to see them until after we get back, hopefully we can keep it quiet.

I am a blabber mouth & a planner. I have no idea how I haven't told my best friend, mom, or sister. I'm quite impressed with myself!

8 days till we leave for our WDW vacation for DD's 10th Birthday! I'm going to blink and it will be over just like the last 10 years. I keep telling her to stop getting older, she's making me old!

I totally feel you Eeyore! My DD turned 10 last week. Not to mention, she comes up past my shoulders and she has the same size feet as me.

Getting really, really excited and really, REALLY panicky about our trip! I feel like I'm not as ready as I have been at this point on our previous trips. I'm not sure why I can't get my head in the game! I only have 2/3 of my girls clothes packed, and NONE of mine/my husbands. I need to kick it into gear this weekend!

Just wanted to stop by and say Hi to everyone. We are coming into the home stretch and I know I am way behind in my packing. We are going on our trip, I'd rather not but DH wants to, thinks it will be good for us.

So today is my online check-in day and the online reservation system is to be down.................good thing I was not planning on using online check-in.

I usually have the suitcases packed at least a month in advance. I'm also used to notecards with very, very detailed minute by minute plans. Since this is a surprise trip, I have not been able to pack in advance. I have things hidden in a suitcase, but it's not really packed. This will be our first trip without matching shirts every day (DD is turning 12 & I think she's beyond that stage), so I'm actually having to think about clothing. Also, DH is really encouraging me to change my mindset. We will still do RD most days, but with the new FP system coming out, I don't know how my regular plans would work anyhow. This is the shortest trip we've ever taken (half the number of days as our regular trips!), so that comes into play also. I don't think we'll get an Epcot RD b/c DH is going to do the Richard Petty ride-along, and I think DD and I will go with him to video & take pictures.

I know we'll have a fun time, but I'm a bit at the thought of doing it all in a whole new way!

I almost pulled out some of the luggage yesterday.... but I didn't. I have, however, started putting clothes that will be packed into a basket. So you're still further along than me.

No packing for me tonight. I have a big test to cram for and a major project that I need to tackle. Maybe I can dig out some luggage this weekend.

On the plus side, I did print out a packing list that I'll use. G'luck in getting packed! I'm sure you'll get it all done with plenty of time to sit around and stare at the clock!

Sheila, so good to see a post from you! I know you're hurting, but maybe your DH is right. Or maybe he needs the escape. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to help you through this rough time. We all and miss you!!!

I'm planning on getting serious about the packing this weekend. My BIL and his family are coming the weekend of March 3 which is right before we leave. (Bad planning on my part - should of asked them to come another weekend - oh well). So.. I need to get a lot done this weekend.

DD needs to really clean out her room so I'm planning on helping her with that and pulling out some shorts and stuff for the trip and putting them aside.

I guess I need to pull out some of my shorts as well - hope I can find some that fit I actually like wearing capris.. may need to make a quick run to Kohls to see if I can find some.

Less than 2 weeks to go!

We havent started packing yet but the excitement is definatly there. We will probably start at it this weekend. Im not quite sure why i say we considering i put out the clothes i want to bring and my wife packs it every so neatly lol

30 days to go (I hope. Flying standby). Time to get my Jillian Michaels on!

Keep telling me those great stories of packing. I have a basket of random items from different trips to Target (I let myself buy one thing each time I go), but I haven't started clearing the closets yet. I suppose I could... Winter just showed up in Minnesota, so I probably won't need my shorts and swimsuits!

There was a notice on their website this morning that they were performing maintenance to their online systems and it would be available "later this afternoon". Perhaps you were attempting during this time. It seems to be up now.
