Hello everybody.
This may have been asked before, but i can´t an answer. When you purchase the unlimited soda package, where do you have to go to get the refills? Is this only possible at the beverage station or can you get coke and other drinks at any other location. My cabin will be on deck 7 forward and going to the beverage station is not really convenient.
Lots of greetings from Germany

The beverage stations don't have sodas....you have to go to one of the restaurants or bars that serves sodas to get your refill.......Andy

You can buy the mugs as soon as you board. We found it very difficult to find places to refill the mugs. Especially on Castaway Cay. Good Luck!

you can go to any open bar to get a refill... the drink station didn't have soda on it on my last cruise 3/03.

In my opinion, the soda program isn't worth it really.. you can get free soda in any sit down restaurant, and a soda is only $1.50 at the bars, so you have to go thru a lot of soda to actually pay for the unlimited program. I think the mug was like $20 on my 4 day cruises.. so I would have to drink over 3 sodas a day before the free one at dinner.. just to get my 20 bucks worth.

Plus, it is a pain to carry that mug everywhere.. I ended up just buying a few sodas when I wented them, getting it free at dinner and my sit down lunch a Tritons, and bringing a few 20oz bottles with me to take on off the ship.

I agree with DisneyGator01. I don't think that the mugs were worth the trouble.

Any bar or drink station will fill you up. The sit down restaurants (Tritons/Lumiere's and Parrot Cay for lunch) have free sodas at mealtime all the time.

Just to give you a sense of where that would be, here's some examples:

Deck 3, promenade lounge (on the way to PC), and all the bars in Route 66/Beat Street
Deck 4, Preludes outside the Walt Disney Theater
Deck 9, Bars at each pool (note that kids can't go to the bar by the adult pool even to get coke, it's an adult only area). Sometimes there's a drink stand set up outside topsiders at meal times as well.

On CC, all the bars will refill the mugs for free as well.

Hope this helps.

On our cruise last spring we found out that you do not need to carry the mug around with you. They put a sticker on our KTTW card and showing that at the bars, etc. that serve soda was all we did to get free soda anytime during the trip.

In my opinion with the amount of diet soda I drink it was a good value. Especially if you consider each time you buy a soda they automatically add a tip onto the bill - 15% I think.

Considering you can get FREE lemonaide, tea, fruit punch, hot chocolate, or water between meals . . . plus all the FREE soda you want at meals three times a day . . . the soda package is so not worth the money!

However, you can get the "free refills" (note: they're not free if you're paying $5/day for them) at any bar. So if you're on Deck 7 forward, you could zip up two flights of stairs to the Signals bar by the adult pool. That'd be your closest location, I believe.

What do you need these days for the soda program? If you have the mug do you need a sticker also?

Thanks

Yes you do get the free lemonade, et., but you have to go to the drink station and I find this to be a pain if I'm relaxing somewhere else on the ship. It was a pain to carry around the mugs, but now with the sticker program, it's so much easier. While I may not drink the full amount of soda to make it worthwhile, I love having the option. I do get my fill while on Castaway Cay, so we always do it for our whole family.

We cruised on 11/8 and received the soda package free with our booking from AAA.

We received mugs and stickers. Either one worked for refills. Many times I would take 2 mugs with me, or 2 cards with me and get 2 sodas for DH (soda freak).

If we were in a club at night, he could just show sticker and get a "free" soda at any time.

Worked great for us and enjoyed the ability to pick up a soda on the run as we went through Promenade lounge.

I guess this is why it is optional In Some Peoples Opinion it is not worth it. As I stated, in my opinion, for me, it is worth every penny! TIA!

We booked our cruise next week through AAA, so the mugs are free. I have purchased them before, and I too think they are worth it. I hate to drink my calories, I like to crunch them! Lemonade and fruit punch are great, but loaded with calories. I know I should be drinking water, but diet soda is so much better! I would do it again.

Thanks everyone.
My sister and I are huge soda drinkers,so I think ,it will be a good option for us.
Only 5 more month to go and I can´t wait.
