Is the discount on dining available in the app yet or only when ordering in person? If only in person, are there any restaurants that only have mobile ordering?
Also, is the discount available at the hotel food courts, specifically Cabana Bay?

I don’t know exact answers. Passholders can use their discount in the app. Food and Beverage gift cards from Mardi Gras season can’t be used in the app. All locations allow counter ordering even if the TM out front says to use the app. They might roll their eyes and puff at you but just calmly explain you need to order at the counter.

Looking at Epic Universe it seems like everything is setup for Mobile order first - so they may need to really figure this out soon IMO

When we ate at The Three Broomsticks a few weeks ago, I simply told the hostess we had the Universal Card and needed the discount, and she directed me to the registers inside to process my order. Hopefully it'll be that simple. I wish they would allow the discount on mobile ordering though.

Yeah - for me its a convenience issue - its nice to just sit at a table and scan the code - and that is how its set up in Epic for the most part. There have been times where its just easier to skip the discount and grab a table.

In the end there is no reason they cant credit you back on the card instead of a discount at time of sale - they know it was a universal restaurant and it could all be automated - the issue is they don't want to discount Alcohol. Considering the ridiculous amount they charge for a pint of Guinness they can give the discount.

Or just make it work in the app.
