Universal Adventures of Dreams AND Magic, and an expanding World!

Sounds like all is coming together! It is going to be such a fun trip, especially for Claire.

I know all about those "man periods" DH has been having one lately. Of course he does have a lot to gripe about lately & lots of clean up around the place to do!

It sounds like a lot of men are having them right now. Maybe there was a memo sent out to all men. :lmao:

He needs to get over his "man period" right now

LOL! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Maybe it's MANopause????

:rotfl2: Now that is hilarious! Now I know what to call it instead of Bug up your butt syndrome!

I was thinking of going to our local fireworks tonight. But it's supposed to be over 100 here. Not sure I want to go out even after sundown........

UGH! I went outside an hour ago and it hurt to breathe! No fireworks for us tonight either.

I decided a little bit ago that I'm passing on the fireworks. I was out for just a bit today and the heat made me want to vomit.........

I can't go outside in this, it's just not worth it. Tomorrow is supposed to be the worst, and I'm glad I have not a place to go.

So glad we are missing out on the heatwave..! It sounds awful. I wish that next year there will be better weather for you all! It was supposed to hit 75 here but stopped at 72..! A lot of people I know were praying for rain as well so people would not set off fireworks but that was also not to be... lucky for us since we already bought them! :rolleyes1

I'm caught up!! WOW on the 14 flights!! :scared1: That's crazy!!! But glad you were able to get that booked!! Hoping that your secret is still save and that Claire forgets what she thought she knew! :rotfl:

Lol, I know several men going through MANopause right now! Maybe it's something in the water??? I'm glad you liked Brave, I still haven't gotten to see it yet, hopefully this weekend! Her hair is amazing!

Wow 14 flights! I think my brain would be fried after doing that.:crazy2: Glad to hear you got a great deal on the price. What fun to know that many people on your flight (you guys could do a Disney flash mob:laughing:)

I hope you can keep the secret from Claire!

We saw Brave too. I was surprised that they didn't let out what the story was really about in the trailers for it. We missed Merida (sp?) when we were there in June. We were never where she meets at the right time:sad2:

All caught up again, Jennifer.
I apologize for not being here more often over the last week, but it WAS (finally) the last week of school and it was painful.
It was blazing hot and we were all stuck inside doing project work! :sad2:

Your plans are all coming together nicely. I don't know if I did comment on this earlier, but :thumbsup2 on scoring all the flights!!!
It usually feels so much more real once the "big" components are all booked! :cheer2:
Had to :lmao: on your surprise slipup with Claire, because that is something that would SOOOOOO happen to me! :rotfl2:
But I am sure she hasn't completely caught it. ;)
We have yet to see Brave, but now with 9 weeks of "school free" break ahead of me we will hopefully get to enjoy it soon. :goodvibes

It must of big one big bug...because boy...things have been tense around here. I was so glad to see rain yesterday...I think it made a lot of farmers around here slightly nicer.

We went Sat night to watch fireworks locally. We just parked in a field to watch from afar and avoid the major traffic jam in town. On the 4th we just went out on our front porch and watched them go off across the horizon...thats the nice thing about living out in the middle of no where. This Sat. we have a family party...once again then ext few days are supposed to be 100...with a chance of rain Sat.
I hope it rains early on and we can still do our fireworks.

I would love for 72...I don't think our low has een been 72 lately.
It dfid cool down after the rain yesterday...not "cool" but better than 99.

That was the largest amount of flights I have ever booked at one time. Usually just us 3. She randomly brings up the "where are we going to stay" question now...and I tell her I can't say (till I slip up again) :sad2:

It really must be in the air....I have had so many people tell me this. It must be a wonky full moon...I do swear it affects people...and it seem that sometimes much worse than others.
Brave was so much better than I thought it would be.

Claire and I won't be on that flight though. it would be fun to fly with family...but we did want to come in a day early for MNSSHP...so we are missing out on the flight fun. LOL.

I was surprised too that the story really isn't revealed at all in the trailers. Though Claire had it partly figured out...not sure if someone told her about the "mom" or not...but she knew that part was going to happen.

All caught up again, Jennifer.

I've been terribly behind lately too. It's been hot, but it seems like I have so much running around to do. And when my Mom is off work (which sh heas been a few days this week) she must get lonely while dad is working because she keeps calling me to do things with her, or help her out. Yesterday I went over and put some things together for her...She says Dad is too slow and he drives her nuts to do it. LOL)
Your trip is fast approaching and I bet you are so ready. I can't wait to hear about it...though I wish we had another meet up this year too. That truely was a highlight for me last year.

I was excited to see that my Passport arrived last Sat. I feel like a real traveler now. It only took 22 days to arrive from the day I applied too. I was pretty impressed with that. We can sail with birthcertificates..but it is safer and better to have a passport. I would like to get Claire one...BUT...I need to have Skip come along to apply for her, and he is anti passport for some reason. He thinks there is no need to have one, just a waste of money, and he was mad that I went and got one actually. I swear he thinks our family can doesn't have to follow rules and if something happened while out of the country....we would be the exception and flown right back in.
So for now, Claire will be using her BC.

What harm would it be for her to have a passport?? :confused3 I have a Passport, but I need to get it renewed (and have my married name added!). He is so silly!!!

Congratulations on your new passport! :thumbsup2

It always amazes me that US citizens are so "scared" about getting a passport. We are so used to travel with a passport - no other way to leave the country, then present a passport. :lmao:
Even little kids (I think it is from 6 months on) need their own passport! :thumbsup2

You would not get far with a birth certificate here. :rotfl2:

exactly....it's not like I am leaving out of the country for good and taking her with me. Though it could happen if she didn't have one and something happened and we couldn't get back in. :goodvibes
I would like to take another trip up to Canada to Niagra Falls in a few years...but neither of them can cross the border at th:goodvibess point and time now without one.

Congratulations on your new passport! :thumbsup2

I know. things sure have changed over the past 10 years. We used to have no problems going to Mexico or Canada...but not anymore. He just can't catch up with the times. And it's all about the money for it too. We'll see how he is in a month and maybe we'll bring it up again to him.

Reminds me I need to get a Passport !!!!!!

:thumbsup2 Glad to remind you. Right now they are processing fairly fast.

Yes they are! We took a last minute trip to Victoria, BC for my mom's 60th a couple of months ago and I paid the rush but almost wish I hadn't... I think it would have made it just fine even though I had less than two weeks to go. I got it in less than one! :cheer2:

I've had a passport since I was 13 and went to Europe with a school group... now even if I don't have anything planned i tend to keep it going just in case but my expiry had snuck up on me. I don't like to have less than 6 months left on it since countries tend to frown on that sort of thing. They like to have enough time that you could maximize your stay and still go home without issue even if you are only planning to be there a short while in case something happens.

I agree...it just opens the door to do other things that you might not do if you didn't have one already. I am very happy I got one...and I hope to use it more than once! ;)

Sam just applied for her passport, but not the book one, the one you can only use if you drive into Canada or Mexico. She's going to Canada in August with some friends and needed it for that. I tried so hard to push her into just going all out for the book passport, but she didn't have the money.

Yesterday was John's b-day, and he had a HUGE bug up there! I think he's sensitive to being older:rolleyes: He needed new tennis shoes, so we stopped at Shopko were we got the last 5 (same) pair. I thought to hasten the process, and asked him what the number in the tongue of his shoes, and he was like, I can do this, I'm a big boy now. :crazy2:
WOW, Kadence and roamed the store and when HE found US, he had the shoes I would have picked up for him........

We just couldn't do it, the heat index was 105. We saw some fireworks on the 2nd, and it wasn't too bad, only 95!:scared:
Our heatwave is supposed to break on Sat, and I can't wait! 80 degrees is going feel like fall!

Hooray for cheap flights! Anything under $300 these days is a BARGAIN!

Tell Skip to get the stick out of his ^$$ and get a passport! :lmao: My 7 year old has had one since last year. We got it to go see Lion King in Toronto, and then had it for the cruise this year, just in case. For us it was the worry that if my dad had a medical emergency somewhere, we'd need it to fly back with him... No stamps yet in it, but technically used on 2 trips!

Forget MANopause, I just tell DH how it is and to get over it!

Did you get hit by any of the storms this week, especially yesterday? I know your area got it bad... We had it Sunday evening. The side of town we live on now wasn't too bad, but over by our old house was some serious damage...

I am swearing it's the full moon and heat mixture...We are slightly getting better, but still some not so nice comments are coming out of his mouth.

I totally understand. I'm gonna work on it...but for now we have a cooling period. :sad2:

My house just got rain..which was great...but areas not far got huge wind and rain storm with power outages. Actually My mom and I were eating at Bob Evens when the storm came through and they lost power there...but we got salads...so we just kept eating. ;)
But when we drove home it was hectic driving around the downed trees and branches and many traffic lights were out.
