I missed this thread over the summer; probably because my real world life kept me too busy to be on the DIS.

But it is funny & interesting to read this thread.
Some of the "unusual" names listed here I hear
daily. I have a neice Addison that way predates Grey's Anatomy and I had another neice that was almost name Teagen, there are several Kendall's in DS elementry school and so on and so forth.
Names can be very regional to begin with and they go in cycle's. Who's going to name their daughter the same name in as the girl in high school who stole your boyfriend? Or after the girl who's boyfriend you stole? Or DH's ex-girlfriend? Or if a name was extermly popular when you were growing up (Jennifer, Michelle, Karen, Lisa), you tend to avoid it when naming your child. Right now, it's a huge trend to name girls boys names--ie, Avery, Bailey, Presley, Loganne, Sloane, Carson and Payton.
And not that any of that matters. Many of those names are still GREAT names. It's just fun to hear (read) them. And it just shows you should pick the name that stands out as special to
you. Plus, it gives you an idea of what is going on in naming. I also have to wonder, if someone has a truly great, unique name, do you think they'd post it or keep it unique?

Or is that just me?
OK, I guess I should contribute something: Keaten, Remlee, Rhianne, Noelle, Roelene
