I've always been fascinated with how names that are so popular in one place, can be virtually unheard of in another place......
I have twin girls named Bailey and Jaidyn. Bailey is a very uncommon name around here---I know only one other girl with that name, and she's 12 years older than "my" Bailey. Jaidyn (usually spelled Jadyn here) however is very popular as a girls name in our area. I've never minded though since I still love that name!
Other girls names that are mega-popular here:
Madison,Madalyn,Taylor, Morgan, Megan, Olivia, Grace, Hannah, Abigail/Abby, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Jessica/Jessie, Nicole
Here's some more unusual (at least for our area) girl names:
Holbrook, Tanyon, Jessa, Jewell, Haidyn, Kinsey, Karsen, Karlie, Toleka, Annika, Kennedy (popular elsewhere but virtually unheard of here!), Micah, Blayne, Kendall, Clara, Rylie, Kenya,Teigan, Aspen,Cadence,Shalome, Tessa,Sommer, Autumn,Brynn.
Really I think so much of it depends on where your niece lives, and what names are popular there.
