I have to say, I adored Brother Bear! Very clever movie with a great soundtrack, cute too!
Sleeping Beauty is one of my favourite movies ever! I remember it scaring the heck out of me as a small baby! Not my favorite Disney movie but Meet the Robinsons is super underrated. Yes, the animation looks very dated but it has a very strong message and emotional core. Also I love the Bowler Hat guy lol
Maybe this doesn't count but I love Sleeping Beauty. It's probably one of the most beautiful animated films I have ever seen. The story is something left to be desired but I am obsessed with the medieval art aesthetic the movie is going for. I think it's underrated as these days it gets overlooked in comparison to other princess films.
Oh and Emperor's New Groove absolutely rules.

Definitely not in comparison to movies Disney pretends doesn't exist like Atlantis and Black Cauldron but I think it is slightly in contrast to other princess films. It also bombed very hard in the box office back when it was originally released.I too love Sleeping Beauty - I am not sure that it is "underrated" though. It's the artwork of Eyvind Earle that really gives it that something special.

When I was in Austria last year, I saw a poster for Der Glockner von Notre Dame which is the German stage musical adaptation of the Disney movie. By some sheer insane luck, I found a bootleg which seems to be the whole show. Watch/download now before it gets taken down. It is in German with English subs.Oh, I almost forgot to mention Hunchback of Notre Dame. The change in tone between scenes gives me severe whiplash but that movie's score goes INSANELY hard.
If I remember correctly, tons of kids were getting the stuffing scared out of them at Cauldron which could've been why it didn't do well at the box office.Speaking of, Black Cauldron is pretty underrated. Even with the neutered ending, it's still decent.
I'll also vote for another overlooked '80's production - Oliver and Company!

Oliver and Company....didn't Billy Joel and Bette Midler provide some of the songs for that film? I don't think I've seen the whole thing.
Was it a high chihuahua?I don't know really, but one of the first things Katzenberg did when he came in was to have them tone down the ending which would have been a bit more scary and a little graphic. Either way, I don't think people responded - they never really do to the ones like that.
Yes, you are correct abtou Oliver and Company. It has a very nice soundtrack by the likes of Billy Joel, Huey Lewis, Ruth Pointer, and Bette Midler. Bette played Georgette, the stuck-up poodle who might become a bit smitten witht the roguish Dodger, as played by Billy Joel. Also, Cheech Marin plays a Chihuahua, so that's gold right there!
Loved Oliver & Co!! And yes, the music was amazing - still enjoy some of the Billy Joel music - "Why should I worry, why should I care....." Good stuff. Have to watch that one again.....Oliver and Company....didn't Billy Joel and Bette Midler provide some of the songs for that film? I don't think I've seen the whole thing.
Also adding in Great Mouse Detective. I am obsessed with Vincent Price's performance as Ratigan. He said it was his favorite role and you can tell. He is having a blast.Speaking of, Black Cauldron is pretty underrated. Even with the neutered ending, it's still decent.
