undercover tourist tickets/mde

Okay, I think I'm gonna jump into the Orbitz bunch and rebook my vacation to save a few hundred dollars on the same exact room but it looks like Undercover Tourist would be $10 cheaper per ticket to purchase. If I buy my room only through orbitz (pop) and my tickets through UT can I still add my UT ticket info into MDE and still get magic bands ordered/book fastpass plus ressies at 60 days out?

Has anyone done this? Did you just wait the 2 weeks to get the tickets in the mail and then add them to MDE with a code on them? do you still have to carry around the tickets if added to MDE?

I linked our magic bands to our UT tickets, and we just got back a week ago today (boo hoo). So it was no problem really (well, there was a little glitch that they helped us with at check-in).

It was really easy to do, but to save only $10 I don't know. I guess you need the tickets to set up FP+ selections. We honestly found it easier to figure out the day before what we were going to do the next day, and just set it up on my iPhone. Changing is pretty easy on the app too, although it's a bit sluggish as it's constantly updating.

thanks for the info! Did you stay onsite too? If so didyou link your tickets to the MB before you left for vacation? did your magic bands come in the mail or did you have to get them at the resort?

You just input the ticket numbers into MDE, they don't do it automatically. You can do it anytime once you have the tickets. If you're on site MBs ship about 30 days before arrival if you're in the US. Outside the US will be at the resort.
