I wish Disney had a toll free number--I know they don't need one, but geez....I was on the phone for AN HOUR AND A HALF this morning to make PS reservations for Thanksgiving week (I have been calling every day this week and this particular res. is for Wed before thanksgiving.) I called at 7:05AM and kept getting "your circuits are busy", so by the time I actually got to the queue it was 7:10... I was on hold until 8:20AM! I just couldn't figure out why my wait was so long if I was calling only 10 min after the lines opened. Any thoughts? I can't wait till tomorrow to make reservations for Thanksgiving Day! (Not!)

I waited online today for an hour and I got through about 7:03. I wasn't able to get PSB but that is OK, I got CRT earlier in the week. Instead we are eating at Cape May for breakfast.

I hope tomorrow morning I get through quicker. I am not looking forward to that call either....

you are on hold becuase you have hundreds of people at there 90 day mark or 396 day mark or 2 year mark wanting things.

We were on hold this morning for 2 hours. The call lasted a total of 2 hours 25 minutes and 29 seconds. Something has to be wrong. I have made PS for New Year's eve in past years and never had to wait more than 15 minutes.

The past couple of days Disney has been releasing discount codes that cover Oct. - Dec. '04. They have been flooded with calls from people making reservations, applying codes, changing reservations, etc. Hold times of an hour or more are very common -- just check some of the threads on the Resorts Board. Other Disney chat sites are reporting the same thing. It should settle down in a couple of days.

That's why I always keep an eye out for when codes and released and AVOID calling for PS on those days.

I have been trying to get through all morning too. It's making me crazy!

Is that 800# just for PS, or resort reservations also?

The problem is that it is now 90 days from Thanksgiving Vacation and those PS need to be made. You really can't wait if you want your first choice.

Thanks so much for posting the 800#. I didn't know there was one. I'm at work and I've probably burned through half of my cell phone minutes so far today!!

Good luck to all of us trying to get through. It's nice that we have this support thread! :earsgirl:

With the possible exception of CRT and PSB (which I've never had a desire to attend or book), I've rarely had a problem obtaining preferred PS times for most places. We're going in Nov. and I just called Monday to book most of our PS. The only place we had to exercise some flexibility on was dinner at 1900 Park Fare -- we got a 4:50 p.m. PS. Not great, but for my 2 nieces it should do. Maybe it'll be an early bed time that day. (Yeah, right... in my dreams maybe!)

Even when we didn't get our first choice when we called, we've checked back later -- even the day of the meal -- and been able to get PS times switched around.

Also, if you're making PS during this time, I'd try calling later in the day. Most of the phone traffic seems to hit in the early morning and then peaks and begins receding -- sort of like a tidal wave!

I would absolutely try calling later in the day. I've called the 800 number 3 separate times this week to make PS, wasn't on hold at all. It was around early afternoon that I called, so maybe that makes a difference.

Have any of you considered going through Dreams Unlimited? We made a package reservation, received a postcard, changed the reservation to room-only, received our refund and made 6 ps's without calling Disney once. DU handles the dirty work for you.

True, but....yesterday I did not get my first choice of CP for breakfast (got Chef Mickey's instead, at 7:05AM!) and today I did get my choices of diRomas and R&CP, but we are 7 people traveling and we were given 2 different tables (again, had called at 7:10AM). So in other words, I'm afraid if I don't call first thing, I won't get my choices. I just don't have time to call later on, change times, etc., I'd like it all planned out now once and for all.

Also I'm at work in the afternoons, can't call from there...anyway, I'm glad (sort of ) to hear that others are going through the same thing. As someone else mentioned, you have to call this week for Thanksgiving reservations.

Thanks to the person that posted the tollfree number, will try that tomorrow!

We are planning for our 12/26-12/31/04 trip and we were there last year at the same time. We made PS at 90 days and had no problem, but we did not want any Princess meals. I would only call at 7:00am if that is what you want. When I called at 11:45am, I got right thru each time even for NYE dinner at Brown Derby. That morning rush really is only necessary for the Princess ones. If you hold off awhile on the 90 day mark, it should be much less wait time.

I called tonight, just a few moments ago to change my PS for the FDP and was on hold only for a few minutes. Quite a difference from this morning, when I called and was on hold for more than 20 minutes.

I started calling a few minutes before 7am on the toll-free number, and got the "we are closed" message at first, but I kept hitting redial until I got in.

I got off the phone 30 minutes later with a PS for the Prirate Cruise for my DS7, lunch for my DH and I at GF Cafe during the cruise, and dinner at 1900 Park Fare. (We are hoping to do a water park that day, so I didn't want to commit us to an in-park restaurant...)

So hopefully the hold wait times are down now! Good luck to all!

Well, I forgot this was the morning to call for turkey day until I came over to the rest. boards. Thanks for the reminder guys!! I called at 8:10, kept getting circuits are busy message. Then, tried the 800 line, got right thru to dining and was on hold for about 10 minutes. Got Chef Mickeys for dinner on T-day at 5:15. That should be one interesting dinner...not my choice but dd's and dh's! Good luck all.
