Great fun reviews! My DH and I are leaving the 3 kids behind for 6 nights, and I booked a ton of ADR's so I'm gonna splurge and get the Deluxe Dining Plan too!

Nice review of Le Cellier. Here's my take on the restaurant, it's good. I've never had a bad meal there, but there are plenty of other places that I like better than Le Cellier, so I don't understand it's popularity and refuse to get up early to snag an ADR. So there :snooty:

...Although I haven't had that Cheddar Cheese Soup in ages...hmmmmm....

Oh, and I hope you had the Lobster Bisque at Chefs de France, it's my favorite Disney soup!

It being my first meal there eva, I really enjoyed it and am glad I woke up early to get that ADR! However, can't claim that as the best restaurant yet until I've tried every single restaurant at WDW! Sounds like an adventure to me! An adventure that I'm gonna LOVE to make!!

EEEK!! You're probably gonna kill me but I didn't!!! And I'm sure it's FANTASTIC considering every single soup i've had in the world has been awesome! Next time fo shizzle though!!

Sweet on Le Cellier, it is our last ressie of our trip. We have a late ressie on March 20th. You are welcome to come join us if you want. Just make sure you stick to your word of no talking.:rolleyes1.

You know...cannot guarantee that now, especially after the eye-roll! :rotfl:

My question is this, how long were you there from the time you arrived to the time you left. I need to know how long it took you to get your food, I wanna make sure we catch Illuminations.

Our ADR was for 11:45, got our check at 12:39 according to the reciept, so close to an hour, so hopefully you can plan accordingly!

Glad you enjoyed Le Cellier since we have a dinner ADR there for our June trip! I've been there once before but I was probably around 10 yrs. old and that was before I liked steak :scared1: I know, crazy right?

I feel really fortunate that we got an actual dinner ADR there since so many people seem to have a lot of trouble getting one!

p.s. I am DEFINITELY getting the cheddar soup. I love cheese, I love soup, no brainer!

This is crazy to me!! I was eating new york steak before I could chew! LOL!...ya figure that one out!

I know right??? Cheese + Soup = Pure Awesomeness!

I'm so glad you enjoyed Le Cellier. You ordered everything I love there. The soup is great. I have a WDW cookbook and the recipe for it is in there. We made it one year for Christmas and it was good!

I also love the filet mignon. We are eating there for lunch this trip too!

Yay!!! Enjoy your trip!! Have EXTRA soup for me please!!!

With our trip being in May, I still have time to change a few of our ADRs around if something sounds too good to pass up! With so many options though, I can't decide yet! Breakfast is by far the hardest decision for me, as I want to try them all (and also need to sleep at least a little on the trip, so getting up early and riding the shuttle to all the various locations may not happen)! We're staying at Boardwalk, and I feel certain we'll be branching out...Kona Perhaps! 1900 PF is my top pick as of now, however.

You will not go wrong with Kona!!! Please say you'll make an ADR there!!!

You are TOOO cute! Love your posts so far!

Haha!! Thank you!! More to come asap!

WOw LOVING The reviews! Your so spunky and fun! DH and I will be trying Tonys and Narcossee for the first time in Sept on our 2 yr Anniversary tip, I cant wait. Plus we always go Le Cellier its our fave.
I kinda knew Narcossee would be great for anniversary but now I know for sure..and honey I LOVE spagahetti and meatballs and I think thats what Im getting at Tonys its either that or the chicken parm..

Haha have never been called spunky before!! Love it!! Lol!! Narcoossee's you will absolutely love!! Very romantic! Ooh lala! Lol!

Oh, and I was really thinking about changing up my S&M to the Chicken Parm...have heard really good things about that too! Have LOTS of fun!

Great Review....... I LOVE Narcoosees although shame on you ;) for giving away the wishes secret...... we did that last sept. boy were the kids impressed..... I wish I could remember if the whole lobster was on the menu for free dining......

UGGH YOU'RE SO RIGHT!!! Please forgive me! Lol!!!

Joining in...A little bit late but you know how its goes!!!

Lol!! No worries here, and yes, I for SURE know how that goes! lol! Welcome!

thanks for the review for Le Cellier. :goodvibes We will be having Lunch there in just over a week.

Good for you, sucks for me! lol! No I'm just kidding! Have a great time!!!

Fantastic review of Le Cellier, I plan on ordering the same thing for our first dining experience there in May!

Ooh Yay! You'll love it!

Glad you enjoyed LeCellier. We've eaten there several and have had wonderful and not so wonderful meals there; same with the service..but when it's good, it's very, very good.

Yes, I'm glad I enjoyed LC too!!! The service and food was wonderful! Hopefully it will be like that again, whenever we go back!!!

Loving your reviews so far! Thanks for the recipe for the soup at AP. I could have eaten a vat of it!

No problem!! I'm thinking I'm going to try making this next weekend!! Wish me luck! lol!

Had to do some catching up! Looks like you've had some fine dining since I've been gone!

We like Tony's too...nothing over the top, but has never let us down. I love calamari too, but next time try the tomato/mozzerella salad...since you're fond of cheese...you'll love this!

Yes, another app I was debating between! DH HATES when i order salads! He says it's such a waste but I completely disagree!

We have an ADR for Narcossee's in June, so thanks for the head's up on the Surf n Turf! What a let down! I would've definitely ordered that as well, so now I'll have to convince DH to get the Maine lobster and I'll get the filet!

LeCellier looks delish too! I think it's probably a hot spot because it's a 1 TS steakhouse...who knows?:confused3 The soup looks worth the hype!

You know, I think you're right on with that! :thumbsup2

Nice job! You have me following in your footsteps for many of my ADRs since your reviews are so wonderful! Now that you've provided Le Cellier I am sooooo glad that we scored this dinner ressie.

You have now become my cheapest form of entertainment! (Not that you are cheap.. you know what I mean!)

BAHAHA! :rotfl: Well thank you!!! I've been told this many times....uh...JK!! But really thank you though!

Love your LC review, that Maple Brulee looks soooooo good and I am thinking that one of us is going to have to try that soup.

Loving the phone box pics :)

We are such nerds...we'll I'm the nerd and I just force DH to become a nerd to so I won't feel left out! LOL!

So loving your review!! We would get along great because I get all your jokes, quotes and "impressions" . Don't you hate when you quote a movie and the other person is just looking at you and then you have to explain the whole thing which just takes away from the funny..

I KNOW!!! It's like, welp, totally just butchered that joke, and now I can never use it again, because now it's not as funny! :lmao:

You are too funny! I've been "LOL" a few times reading your reviews.

Thanks for the great report. Looking forward to more. :)

Aww I'm so glad you're laughing at me!!! :confused3 Hopefully laughing with me that is!! ;)

Great fun reviews! My DH and I are leaving the 3 kids behind for 6 nights, and I booked a ton of ADR's so I'm gonna splurge and get the Deluxe Dining Plan too!

Ooh you're gonna have sooo much fun!! Have fun with the DDP! You have soo many options it's overwhelming, but fun!

Working on Flying Fish Cafe right now!!! Stay tuned!

Fabulous reviews. Your review "style" reminds me of MickeyNicki. Same sense of humor and TOTALLY entertaining. Can't wait for more.:goodvibes

Great reviews!:thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about the Flying Fish. We loved it and we're going back this year.

Ohhh! I'm hungry!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your reviews!!! You have a terrific sense of humor, and I love the movie quotes...and by the way, I'm also a HUGE fan of "Family Guy"...that Kim Basinger quote totally cracked me up! :lmao: Then, since you're writing all these great and funny dining reviews of these wonderful TS restaurants, I started to remember the "Family Guy" episode with Jennifer Love Hewitt...you know, the one where Peter Griffin was at the restaurant with her, went to use the restroom and didn't wash his hands, then proceeded to touch ALL of the bread in the basket..."Ooh, these look good...every one!" :rotfl:

But seriously, I am looking forward to reading the rest of your reviews! We're going to Le Cellier for the first time in July, but for dinner. But, I know myself and at a steakhouse I always get filet mignon! So I was glad to see your review about it! Keep those great entertaining reviews coming!

Awesome review. I'm so glad to read your food reviews and enjoying it. Can't wait to read more popcorn::. We never tried Artist Point and loved your review.

we have eaten at Narcosse's twice. both times I ordered the whole maine lobster..yummy! (although the 2nd time I was half through and noticed that the drwn butter did not have a sterno under it, so it got kinda cold)
the 1st time we were on the free dining plan, the second time we purchased it, and yes, the whole lobster was included on both !

we also love LeCellier.. love the soup and the breadsticks!!! I was tempted to order the veal T-bone, but numerous questions on this board about it went unanswered, so I stayed with the tried and true. (they used to have a very good bbq filet, but it went by the wayside)

I love that you took the time to compute the OOP cost.. how thoughtful of you!!!!

Yuuuummmmyyy! Love both reviews, especially since both restaurants are MUST-DO's on our trip in December!

What a bummer about the lobster tail! I think that is just a SIN to ruin lobster, especially on a surf & turf plate. But, now I know to definately stick to the whole lobster in December! Since hubby wil probably be getting a steak and we always share, I can still do the surf & turf, but in a "safer" way.

Okay, so where is the Flying Fish review?????? I'm waiting!!!!

I am so loving your reviews. That Tonga Toast is making me crazy!!! I had it for the first time last summer and it is to die for! Can't wait to have it again in August!

Thanks for your review and pic of Narcoossees. We're going to try it as well!!!!:wizard:

agree. I heard so many good things about the Tonga toast. we never wanted to "waste" a TS credit on breakfast.
rethinking, or maybe OOP.
thanks again!!! (and I agree, you are the cutest little thing!, as is your hubby. can hubby Nebo and I adopt you?)

I've made Tonga Toast at home from the recipe on allears.net but never had it at the Polynesian Resort. We may have to pay a visit either to Kona for breakfast (already going there for dinner one night!) or Captain Cook's! But making it at home is awesome! Of course, I can't compare it to the one at Disney because I never ate it there.

Love the reviews!

We came back on 2/12 and did Le Cellier for Dinner....it was fabulous! I asked DH how is meal was and he just grunted at me!

Bummer, I just found your review and the early pics aren't visible because of @&#$%!#@ photobucket exceeded bandwith.

Sometimes photobucket is a PITA!

Hey, were were there the exact same time!

And DH talking on the phone…it’s the creeper from Hollywood Brown Derby……he wasn’t checking out my drink!.......What’s that DH???...he was checking you out???!!! :rotfl2:

:rotfl: :lmao::lmao::rotfl:

This review of Le Cellier is making me want to go back when we go in 2012. We haven't been back since 2007 and I am so bummed I missed it back in December.

Great job once again, chickie!!!! Can't wait for Flying Fish!!! WOOT!!! Have never been there before, but if I am a betting woman, I would put my money on the fact that I am so going to want to visit it on my next trip. Hot dang! (Again, keeping it 'G' rated for the kids at home!) I am so going to want to put my family on the DxDDP when I am done reading this Food Porn report! You go girl!!

OMGOSH!!! I DIE everytime I see that part!!! My brother and I do that whenever we go to a restaurant where they serve rolls...well we pretend to do it, not really do it, and everyone at the tables like, wth?? LOL! That means you'll get my next quote for Flying Fish!

But seriously, I am looking forward to reading the rest of your reviews! We're going to Le Cellier for the first time in July, but for dinner. But, I know myself and at a steakhouse I always get filet mignon! So I was glad to see your review about it! Keep those great entertaining reviews coming!

I think an adoption can be arranged! LOL!!! :rotfl2:

Hey, were were there the exact same time!

OMGOSH I HATE PHOTOBUCKET RIGHT NOW!! Tis my enemy!

Hey you're from LB!! We were living in LB for a couple years! I miss it soooo much!!

:rotfl: :lmao::lmao::rotfl:

Doesn't he have the most perfect look on his face for that though??!! Lol!!

This review of Le Cellier is making me want to go back when we go in 2012. We haven't been back since 2007 and I am so bummed I missed it back in December.

You're in for some disappointment if you don't have it on your list of ADR's girl!!! MISSIN OUT TOTALLY!!! Oh well, you can get your Flying Fish Fix from me!!! :lmao:

Alright guys sorry for the delay!!! Like I've been saying, me and photobucket were not cool for a while, but now we seem to be moving along with our friendship since i've been able to upload my pics for Flying Fish! I didn't want to post a review without pics, ya know!!! So here you are my fine friends!!!

This restaurant has grown increasingly popular lately I’ve noticed! And now I know why…

Wait…Have you guys not heard???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WNrx2jq184

LOL!! Sorry guys but I deemed it necessary!! :rotfl:

(How do you post videos on here?)

So Flying Fish is located at the Boardwalk, which is quite lovely at night..

IMG_0960.jpg

IMG_0933.jpg

IMG_0940.jpg

Again, too excited! This would be another Signature we can scratch off our list!! :yay:

So our ADR was set for 6:55 we get there right at 7pm and seat us immediately!

This place is too cool guys! They have a kitchen bar seating area, where you can look into the kitchen and see how the cooks work…and lemme tell you…they cook fast and in no way do they show that they are stressed! It’s amazing to me that they work under such pressure, yet never show it! Crazy!

Here is my view:

IMG_0945.jpg

IMG_0948.jpg

IMG_0947.jpg

Isn’t that ceiling ah-mazing???

Drinks??? How bout some…Coors Light?? BAHAHA YA RIGHT! :rotfl: Yuengling please!!! (3@6.00)

Foodie time!!!

The Appetizers:

So this is where my guilt sets in…on this very meal…I felt like I was over-doing it on every single appetizer! So I decided to go with something “less fatty” and go for:
Salad of local Vero Beach Arugula and Watercress with candied walnuts, Asian pears, Gorgonzola dolce and artisanal walnut oil vinagrette ~ 12.00

IMG_0949.jpg

I was SOOO happy with my choice! Yes, there are some FABO app choices on this menu, but I had to do it guys! Sometimes the guilt is just too strong, I can’t handle it! But seriously this salad was BOMB! Even DH was surprised! It was presented in this awesome looking bowl, which I’m SURE made it taste even better, right? Lol!

DH ordered the Signature Flying Fish Cafe "Crispy Maine Coast Jonah Crab Cake" - savory vegetable slaw, roasted red pepper coulis, ancho chili remoulade ~16.00

IMG_0950.jpg

HEAVENLY!!! So here’s what you do: take a bite of the crab cake, then look at the ceiling, and close your eyes…that’s the purpose of the ceiling folks right there…total euphoria encompasses you with each bite! Masters of the Crab Cake are located here, at the Flying Fish folks! No need to look elsewhere!

The Entrees:

DH and I both ordered the Chef's Special Thunder: Surf and Surf - Oak grilled and pesto glazed local "orange" swordfish - Belize laughing bird shrimp, basil, tomato, black garlic, fennel and winter squash-laced Fegola Sarda Pasta ~ (37.00 @ 2)

IMG_0951.jpg

Sometimes I don’t get their descriptions of the dish..”laughing bird shrimp???” This dish is no laughing matter…this is one serious dish…I could have had seconds on this dish! This was another “lean your head back and stare at the ceiling while you chew” moment! Why is the food fantastic? Because some of the food they use here is grown over in Epcot! At least, that’s what our waiter said, and why not believe him! Brings more to your food knowing that it was grown here in Disney World right?!

The Desserts:

Lesha orders the White Chocolate Crème brulee with berries ~ 8.00

IMG_0952.jpg

Simple is best people, and this was a delight! I love fresh fruit, I love Crème Brulee, I love Chocolate, I LOVE my dessert!!

DH gets the Gingersnap Fall Crop Apple and Pecan Tart - cinnamon ice cream and salted caramel ~ 8.00

IMG_0953.jpg

Wow…kinda wished I ordered this…DEFINITELY NOT saying my dessert was bad in any way, but this was the meaning of living! Lol! The cinnamon ice cream was so good! Not spicy, like how I imagined it would be, but it had such a subtle taste to it, that it really made the dish!

Oh, after dinner we walked around the boardwalk for a bit and headed over to Yacht Club where we got these taken with a Photopass Photographer:

Image0047.jpg

Image0049.jpg

Aren't we adorable!!! Sorry folks, we've already been adopted!! :rotfl:

For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 2 credits per person because it’s a Signature restaurant, so it’s 4 credits total.

For those paying OOP, here was our total with 3 alcoholic beverages, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and tax: $144.16

I Heart Flying Fish guys! Really I do! The cooks here know what they’re doing, and they do it well! You’ve GOT to come here! Their menu is amazing and has lots of options, you will not be disappointed! Oh, one little tip: the bathrooms here are next door in their little candy shop, so you have to go through this metallic looking door near the podium…BE CAREFUL WHEN OPENING THE DOOR!!! DH hit a woman coming back from the bathrooms, and I got hit going to the bathroom! They should just prop the door open, but I guess their trying to keep the two environments separate??? Don’t know…anyways if you’re looking for some great seafood, look no more! Flying Fish has got you covered!

Thanks for a lovely update. You guys are ADORABLE and will have amazing looking kids one day. Thanks again for sharing your food with us...
