WOW!!! That Cape May breakfast looks sooo yummy!
You and your DH are so adorable!!
We have an ADR for the Cape May character breakfast on our last morning of our July trip. We're staying at Boardwalk Villas so we figured it would be convenient to go there when it opens at 7:30 before hitting the road. DH and I also love breakfast, and we love breakfast buffets so we can try different foods. My boys LOVE the characters too, and so do we!! DH and I are DVC members (we own at BWV) and we will be 65 when the contract expires in the year 2032...I can totally picture myself, at that age, still acting like a little kid at those character breakfasts!!
Great idea! And what a way to end a trip!
Flying Fish looks wonderful too. Not going there on this trip but it is a strong possibility for our next one. We go to Disney World every other year in July. This summer, my boys will be 3 and 5 so my little one is too little for the kids' camp in the evenings. Next time we go after that my little guy will be 5 so DH and I will put them in the camp for one evening for a few hours and go to a nice romantic dinner. Flying Fish is a definite possibility for that, but I have others in mind as well (Narcoossee's, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Bistro de Paris, California Grill and of course Victoria & Albert's!). There I go again, planning WAY too far ahead...I guess I should go on the first trip before I begin planning the next one that is 2 years later!! And why is it that when I start any kind of trip planning, I start by checking out the food?! Goodness, I need help!
Nope plan as far ahead as you want! I always do!!
Omgosh me too!!! Everytime we go to a different town for vacay, I always go to yelp.com and see what the locals are eating!!!And no we don't need help, we're just hungry!! Lol!
But seriously, I'm actually a lot like you. I eat very healthy all the time and I indulge (a.k.a., PIG OUT!!) on vacation! We only go on one big vacation a year so I make the most of it and just go back to good eating habits and my exercise routine when I get home, although I do try to squeeze in some workouts on vacation too...makes me feel better about the eating and like I will still be a size 4 when I return!
Awesome review! I can't wait to try this place when we're there! We're big breakfast fans, so that looks totally yummy!
I do have a question about the credits though - do you mean it was 2 credits per person from the deluxe plan? I thought only the ones marked "2" on the brochurehttp://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw_nextgen/CoreCatalog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2010DeluxeDining.pdf were 2 credits per person?? I'm confused!

1. Your writing style although very entertaining and keeps you wanting to come back for more of the food porn you deliver. You lost me when you referenced yourself in the 3rd person mode. See Flying fish critque.
I did that because I got so tired of saying "I"...so Lesha thought she would change it up!!
2. Your DH shirt on the Cape May day? Long Beach State undefeated in Football since 1991. National Championship worthy team? No. Football team ceases to exist? Yep. I know this because I was born and raised in the LBC.
LOL! Yup no football team which is why they're undefeated!!Yeah DH that was a cleaver shirt so when he saw it on campus he just had to have it! Ugh, I miss the LBC!!! I only lived there for 2 years but it was awesome!!!

Lesha, Can I call you Lesha, I feel like we are friends now. I mean after all I invited you to Le Cellier.Flying fish looked like the Kaboom. Makes me wish we would have ressied up there. Cape May for Breakfast will be marked off the list in less than 2 weeks. Can't wait for the breakfast pizza. Thanks for the heads up.
I'm coming out of the closet (the review-reading lurking closet, that is) to say how much I'm enjoying your reviews. I hope you let us know in the end which of all these scrumtious meals were your favorites.
Yes I am at the very end I'm totally gonna break it down for ya'll!
Also, what snacks did you like? Any that were not sweet?
Ooh Cape May looks fun! I love your Minnie shirt-I have it too! We have great taste!
I'm loving your reviews, but I can't see any pictures from the FF or the Cape May. Just empty space there.
With how cute your are, your DH can not be checking out that A**!
You are too kind!!!
What I want to know, how do you get your pictures to show up so big in your review. I did one for the same period and they all came out tiny! I had some yummy meals in there and I don't know how to "supersize" my pictures for my review.
I think before you upload them, you have options of what size to upload them to...choose the large or the x-large one! I made a new account with photobucket and they've been automatically uploading to this size. Kinda weird but I'm happy with it!
I want to figure it out before DCA F&W so I can show lovely large images like you have!
Okay - this is getting tedious now!
You and your DH (*** checking not withstanding) are still disgusting adorable.
Aren't we just plain sick???!
Every review is highly entertaining with amazing scrumtious food pictures.
Can I PLEASE keep you around for uplifting when I need you!!You are too awesome!!!
Is there nothing you cannot do?
You certainly set the bar high for other Dining Reviews. Especially as I stayed in the Beach Club in 2006 - and didn't get to Cape May Cafe - You just make that even more painful for me!
Oh my!!! Well I hope you indulged in all of the other restaurants that the boardwalk area has to offer!!! Remember, there's always next time, and I KNOW you're going to be visiting again!!!
More more!!
More coming just for you mama Shari!
Shari xx
Love, Love, Love your reviews
Your pics are really great
Oh wow FF looks awesome, the food looks utterly delectable Love the pics of you to at YC, perfect setting
Because it TOTALLY is!! Hope you get to try it sometime! Oh my goodness, had no idea that there are Photopass Photographers set up at some of the resorts!!!
Cape May looks like alot of fun and you gotta love Mickey Waffles
Great review and pics of Cape May, went there the year we stayed at the Yacht Club , seeing the pics and reading the review brought back memories not to mention made me HUNGRY!
leshaI am leaving in 10 days and I do not see much movement in your DR. It is very concerning to the Bobberthat I wont be able to see your final reviews before I leave. I got money if you are looking for monetary reimbursement for your work, I have Dinsey pennies I could send you. Please, I beg you, to quickly complete your DR so I can go into my trip knowing I have been well educated on my dining choices. Whew! I need a drink, got any disney drinks you can suggest besides beer.
Ooh have never thought of charging for reviews...wonder how much I could get???Totally kidding!!
I don't think I'm gonna be finished by next week!!!Unfortunately, work and life gets in the way of my writing, you know??
But I promise to get as much in as possible!!!
On another note where in the LBC did you dwell? Myself I lived in the El Dorado park area or East LB.
I lived over by the round-about off of PCH and Ximeno...we were both going to school so we needed something by CSULB and that area was pretty decent...I miss the restaurants the most though!!Not much going on here in Central Cal except for tons of chains!
And yes you can use ressied up, but hurry I might copyright it.
We ate at Cape may for breakfast early too. We took a taxi from POP so we didn't have to worry about being late, for the $10, it was well worth it. We loved the breakfast and the laid back feeling there, the characters seemed to spend much more time with us then at CP and the food was very good. A great place if on DDP. We are staying at BC so I am sure we will find our way down there several mornings.
This is going to be the worst installment EVER!!! SO MUCH DRAMA! Well not really, I just like saying “So much drama” cuz then I’ll have everyones attention! Lol!
So here’s the drama: We had an early breakfast at Cape May Café and our next ADR wasn’t until 530 at Yachtsman, so DUH I’m gonna get hungry right?! So we were at Epcot that day, and we decide to go share some famous Fish and Chips (7.99) over in the UK with a Harp for me (8.00) and a Stella for DH (8.00).
![]()
Are you as shocked as I am that we didn’t order a Yuengling!?Frightening right?!? Lol!
So we were still thirsty, so DH was going to go get us some Hoegaarden’s (really good BTW). Well he ended up talking to a chap (using UK lingo!)about Guiness and how disgusto it was yada yada. Anyways, so I still haven’t gotten my beer 10 minutes later, so I just decided to invite myself over and force my way into their convo. So DH and I are conversing with, Craig (or is it Greg?) drinking are Hoe’s (wow…I can’t shorten anything without it sounding bad!
), then he introduces us to his girlfriend who was in the bathroom. Her name was Shy. Such an awesome and fun couple!
After our Hoe’s, we ordered another Harp and Stella, because they still wanted to hang out and chat, so why not right??
(Insert “drama” here)
So we were all feeling pretty good, but still wanted to hang out, just not at the Pub because it started getting crazy busy, so we head over to Mexico…Now we all know what’s in Mexico, right folks! It’s called “Drama” in the form of Shot glasses!!! LOL!!!

Can barely contain the excitement!

Yup, those were for DH, and I had the Blood Orange Margarita (So yummy and very strong, so be careful!) Well I can hold my alcohol pretty good, so I decided to get 2 Tecates….. After hanging around the Tequila bar for a while, they wanted to show us to their favorite hang out spot…Crew’s Cup Lounge over at the Yacht Club…so we take the boat from Epcot to the Yacht Club. Pretty neat place guys!!! Check it out! I have two Blue Moons, and by this time, I’m feeling WAYY to good! Too good to eat!!! Same with DH…hence the Death of the Yachtsman!! Wanna know what’s even funnier!? Crew’s Cup Lounge is down the Hall from Yachtsman!!!

Goodness Gracious!!! So we bounce out on our ADR and go back to CSR to lay down and just grab some dinner from the Pepper Market later that night.
Alas, no Yachtsman Steakhouse review…but this means next time for sure!!! I mean, I’m sad about not being able to try it, but we did have a lot of fun hanging out with Craig(Greg) and Shy! So no regrets here! But Yachtsman does deserve a formal apology:
Dear Yachtsman,
Please forgive Leshaface and DH for not meeting with you on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 5:30 that evening. It was an accident. An accident that I can’t go back and re-do, but what’s done is done, and I hope you will allow us to make up for this inconvenience and permit us to make future ADR’s with you again. We’ve only heard great things about your Porterhouse and New York strip! Please, hear our plea, and let’s start over. Let’s make 2011 our year to make amends and form a beautiful friendship that will last for years to come.
Your truly,
The Leshaface family
