Uber from WDW to Universal?

Has anyone ever used Uber for transportation from WDW to Universal or in reverse? It appears to be less expensive than a taxi but I've never used their services so I'm a little uncertain.

Yes, I did this in April. It was about $17 from Universal to Bay Lake Tower. Car picked us up three minutes after I ordered it.

We used it in January and had a great experience. We actually got our round trip transport for free using discount codes.

Can any of you elaborate? Where did you find the discount codes? And is there a way to get around putting in a Credit card number at sign-up?

If you google Uber promo code, you should be able to find a link that will give you one free ride for signing up. Then, once you take the ride, you will be given a code to give to friends for a free ride for signing up. DH originally signed up with a friends code (one free ride), then I used DH's link to sign up for my own account (second free ride), and then he got a free ride for me using his code (third free ride, we took this one from Cali Grill back to AKV). I think one of the points of using Uber is that you put in your credit card and never deal with cash, so I don't think you can get around the CC.
