Now, whenever I post please remember it is usually written in pieces, sometimes days apart. So, it may start with saying things like today, but it may not be the actual day I post to this thread. sorry. Sometimes I try to adjust it, but that tends to make it more confusing. The following post I started yesterday morning, and finished today. So, it may sound off.
Due to a snow delay at DDs college she arrived nearly 3 hours early for class. So, she & I messaged back and forth while I attempted to add she & DDBF to the ADRs they would like to join us for. Those being
atleast at the moment, Chef Mickeys for breakfast, BoG which is, as you know already taken care of, and they are considering Ohanas. Chef Mickeys was the one I was most worried about. It is the real beginning of vacation for me. I love when we get that early morning reservation, laugh, eat & wave those napkins, then head to the MK for rope drop. Okay, we dont usually make rope drop, since I generally need to find a quiet space for my vertigo to resolve, but we are there shortly there after. I used the computer again to check on availability. I ran into the same issue as previously. I found the reservation I wanted, actually 10 mins earlier. (The earlier the better in my mind. Well for this ADR anyway.) I give all pertinent information, then I get silly little Donald Duck telling me the server is down. Been there done that. I try again, and get it. What was breakfast at 7:35 for 3 at Chef Ms is now breakfast for 5 at 7:25am. Sounds like a great plan. Since DD & BF haven't decided on Ohanas Ill wait to inquire on availability.
After taking my overdue rest, I now logged on to the computer again and began the almost daily search for reasonably priced airfare. Which I didnt find. I am however getting sick of spending time seeing ticket prices increasing. I ask DH if he minds if I just book it. If the flights come down, I will request a credit (this is actually how I talked him into this trip. From credits we received on tickets from the Nov. 12 trip. See, there is a method to my madness). He agrees. I pick our flights based on the fact that DD has school (most likely) in the morning the following day. Also that it is a 3/3 seat configuration. I picked a flight that was not the cheapest. The cheapest was $121, but it had a change of planes. NO WAY! We did that last trip and it was horrible. I am more than willing to pay the extra $22. To get a nonstop flight. Except
the $143 flight was a little earlier than I wanted. So, we got the next price up $165. (ouch), but we have a nice departure time and nonstop flight.
On a previous trip I had the need to contact JB by phone. I think it was due to my fear of missing a connecting flight. At that time I mentioned I had a wheelchair. This is when the JB member asked what seats we had. She suggested we sit in the front of the plane. But, since there was only even more room seating she inquired if we would be interested in that. She told me it would be free for me & 1 traveling companion. After a discussion on the other traveling companion I agreed. We have found it is much simpler. When I sit in the front of the plane it seems to make it easier. Not just for us, but for other passengers and the crew members. We get on & off the plane first and we are seated before anyone else is trying to squeeze past my large butt to get to their seats. On the flight down I was able to attain row 7. So, no need for the even more room seating. However when I went to book this flight, seats that close were not available. I had to call JB to make the reservation anyway as I was using credits. So, I asked the JB member to reserve the Even More room seats, as I have a medical condition that requires a wheelchair. I also verified gate check was still available for my manual wheelchair. He was very nice, even asking if I will need any further assistance in my traveling with JB. I expected to have to pay the $30 for the extra traveling companion, but that never was charged. The only issue we had in the past with the even more room seats is the very 1st row has no under the seat storage are, because, well, there is no seat in front of you to store things under.

So, I requested not to have that row. DD loves to have her backpack at her feet. Then she can get her coloring book, or what not by herself. So bottom line is.... we have our airline tickets ... both ways!!!!
DDBF drove her home from college tonight. They arrived home about 10pm. They were discussing whether they would want to join us for Aloha's or not. DDBF said "I'm good for whatever you want" Which is a wise statement for that boy. DD loves to be spoiled and he is very good at this task.

So, apparently it is DD who is undecided. She knows the consequences if she doesn't tell me in time there may not be availability. I will just

then go into action if neccessary.

Not sure if I shared this on this thread or just Bridgets, but I have to share. I'm going to do the quickest version I can.
Friend of DH from highschool (if you check our ages you will realize THAT is a long time) we've stayed friends with. Lost his wife several years ago, has since remarried and at the age of 52 has a 2 year old daughter as well as 3 college age children. His new wives DM passed away ans DW is depressed so our friend decides he is going to take her & DD2 to WDW. He called us in Feb.and mentioned he will be calling us later for our opinion for planning this upcoming trip. I told him anytime we love talking Disney. Last Tuesday I went to my hairdresser which is his SIL and a
travel agent. She was just hanging up with him. Having made arrangements for his WDW vacation. She was laughing almost madly. I now understand why. This vacation he wanted to take.... Easter week! As in THIS EASTER!! I am still amazed his DSIL was able to get him hotel ressies. split stay POR/YBC . He called yesterday for an unrelated reason. But, we of course got to talking Disney. He has no idea! I tried to explain it is going to be crowded, one of the most crowded weeks of the year. He said he understands. He isn't planning on going on any rides. I was

Then he explained further, he meant thrill rides. I explained to him some of the non thrilled rides get crazy lines too. Just be prepared. Also, dinner reservations may be very difficult, even impossible to get. I told him Peter Pan isn't unusual to get a 90 min line. He was in

This should be interesting. Poor guy has no clue. We are lending hiim some of our sing-a-longs for his DD to get used to the characters. I gave hiim a couple other tips too. I hope they have a nice time. Maybe just getting away will be nice for them.
