We do it for the parade, fireworks and atmosphere and my husband does it for the candy. lol. We’re really a Halloween loving family, so we’re just happy walking around and soaking it all in. It’s especially fun to see all the costumes. Some people go all out. :thumbsup2
I am looking forward to the fireworks and the parade the most! I miss the night parade at MK!

The Halloween party is our favorite Disney event. I would go every night if I could so 2 is not too many!!

The only characters we are interested in meeting are the Dwarfs and were planning on lining up as soon as it opens. I think the only ride we want to do is HM. Not knowing what to expect makes it hard to know if one party is enough or if we should do two.
In this case I vote 1 party will be fine for you no problem. You’ll probably even be able to watch the parade twice if you want.

Meet them first thing, read here to learn the best tips for being toward the front of the line once parties start as that will be key. Do not trick or treat until later at night (later at night there are no lines!)

I don’t do character meets and for me there is still enough time at a party to enjoy some rides, the parade, fireworks, castle show & trick or treating.

This is very helpful! I don't usually have an issue with FOMO, but in this instance it is making me think a little bit.

My friends and I do two parties...One party we meet all the characters, trick or treat and ride the rides. The other party we do the parade, fireworks, trick or treat and ride some rides if there's time...It's easier for us then trying to do everything all in one party. Halloween is our favorite time of year in Disney, so we don't mind splurging...We're going the last week in October too!

We are also considering doing two parties as well... We really love Halloween at Disney and it's hard to relax and enjoy it all if we are feeling the need to go commando to "get it all done" We have tickets early in our trip and I am thinking one more party at the end of our trip. So I am right there with you, I have been waffling on actually purchasing the second set. My strongest pro argument so far- it's expensive but less likely to disappoint than some of the dining options we experienced on our last trip. A little less table service and the tickets are paid for! Disney Math😉

This sounds like a great plan! The thought of rushing and trying to squeeze everything in is stressing me a little.

I like Disney math! We never do table service and have upgraded our resort to WL, with a discount code. It's the only way we could do it. If I already had airfare purchased it might be easier to make this decision. 🤔 I'll have to look at our trip and do some more Disney math. 😉😁

We are planning on attending two the end of September simply because the extended hours for deluxe resorts shifted from MK to HS. We like to be in MK late at night and absolutely loved the after hours we bought back in April in MK. We've never been to a Halloween party before so that's replacing the lack of after hours events for us plus bonus entertainment, and the second party gives us our extended hours back too. I know it's more money being shelled out but it's worth it to us because nothign beats MK late nights in our opinion.

I’m still confused as to what you’re worried about missing? Aside from entertainment you want to do 1 character M&G and ride 1 ride... As you see reading here many people who do 2 parties do it because they want to meet all the characters and see all the entertainment and do rides…

Just my experience, but last year we didn't go straight to the Dwarfs. Maybe we were just lucky but we went to them MID PARTY and when I tell you we walked right in and no one was there and met them immediately. I even said to my friend when we were walking into where they meet, I said...are they not here? Is it closed? no one was there...

They're my favorite too so I was thrilled! I've gone other times and waited 90 minutes...so really no rhyme or reason to how to meet them... :)

We are doing 2 this year as I don’t want to feel rushed trying to squeeze everything we want to get done into 1 night. It will be the first time for our kids. My husband and I went during our anniversary trip a couple of years ago and loved getting to do it all over 2 nights at a more relaxed pace.

I totally agree with you! I absolutely LOVE MK after dark! I prefer all the parks after dark, except AK. The way they are lit totally transform the atmosphere and experience. I can't wait to see it with the Halloween additions!

Never having been to a party, we don't really know what all is offered and we don't want to miss anything. Disney is all about the details. We know for sure some of the things we want to, but I doubt that the Dwarfs, HM, parade, fireworks and trick or treating is all inclusive of what we want to do.

If you get to the MK and 4pm and make a gameplan, one night is enough. The candy isn't all that great, it's the same candy at all the locations. It's fun, but you can only haul around so much candy. And towards the end of the night, there are no candy lines, you breeze right through. The park empties out after the fireworks and the first parade, if meeting the 7D, HM, parade, and fireworks are all you want to do, you will have plenty of time. I'd save your money for a future trip. At at least $150 per ticket per person, if there are 4 of you, that $600 could go a long way towards another trip - to attend MVMCP. It's a great party, but not necessary to go twice considering your wants.

If you’re set on seeing the parade, fireworks, and meeting the 7 Dwarfs, I'd say go for the 2 parties if it fits your budget
Those are our must do's. We will have a better idea once the parties start and the videos come out. I know we can't do it all.

Thanks for the insight. Our game plan was to already be in the parks when the wrist bands were being distributed and hop in the Dwarfs line. We haven't planned any further, yet.

Have FUN!! I have to enjoy hearing about the party thru all of you who are going.
I love MNSSHP a LOT but we just can’t justify the price anymore. Now, we have to choose whether to go to ONE party versus paying for a week’s worth of Multi-pass and Single Pass.
