Just wanted to subscribe. Cute report so far.

I'm also in the works on creating my 1st report (see link below).

1) I commend you on wanting to do the Disney marathon. I want to as well. I have yet to start training though.

2) I saw your mention of marching band and I just knew I'd have to subscribe to this report. I am also a marching band alumni. Us "band nerds" have to stick together! It takes hard work...I'd say it's a sport! haha If cheerleading is a sport then so is marching band dag gummit! I've even marched in a parade @ MK. It was magical

3) you and your Dad's kidding around back and forth is cracking me up.

When are you and your DBF going to the World? Sounds like ya'll got a great deal on your tickets down to Florida. Hope you can get the same kind of deal for the trip back.

Anyways, I'll be waiting for more updates.

No! We tried to give mom her share of the money but she said we could put it in the trip jar! Mom's are great!

I'm sure she's too busy to be washing your car. It takes a lot of hard work to write a trip report ya know!

I have to put a little disclaimer about the marathon...it is only the 5k which they allow you to walk...but it's a start! Maybe one day I'll get to the 1/2 marathon.
That was always my defense too! Us "band geeks" were always practicing longer then the cheerleaders! We got to perform at DL a few times and it was awesome! The MK would be pretty cool too! I was a clarinet girl, what was your instrument?
We're going to be down there Jan. 2nd through the 15th. still waiting on plane tickets though...

I still go and watch the performances at "bands of america". Did ya'll ever perform for that compition? To my understanding it's a national competition.

I've never been to WDW in Jan before. I'd love to go for Christmas or New Years some day. Can't wait to hear how that time of year is once ya'll get back. Still a little ways off but it will get here fast.

After signing up for the 5k it's really motivated me while at the gym. I just think about how cool it'll be to run through AK with all the characters our and adrenaline rushing. I think that's enough to get anyone through that race. I think after the 6th mile in the half marathon, nothing could get me to be excited about running.
I've never heard of the “bands of america” competition. Our band did just local tournaments, we won our division most of the time. We did go to Hawaii my freshman year and performed in a competition there. That was a lot of fun. We always auditioned for the Rose Parade but never made it. I think that would have been awesome!
January seems like it's years away, I hope it gets here fast. I started my pre-trip in hopes that it'll help it get here faster.

Keep up the motivation for the 5k @ disney. I probably won't be planning mine until 2010 since I've already got 2 trips to disney planned for '08. One of which is Dec '08. It'd be too expensive for me to go that many time to disney that close I wish I could though. But, hopefully in 2010 I'll get to fulfill my dream of running through some part of disney world I hope you do yours! Good luck.

Thanks for all the excitement about my scrap booking pages! Scrap booking is so hard for me because I’m NOT a creative person! I have no artistic ability so I have to rely on all the easy-to-do scrap booking techniques that they sell at the craft stores. This last trip we took over 800 pictures so this was the longest scrapbook I’ve ever made and took me the longest to do (if you don’t count the unfinished one I’m still working on). But now it’s done and DBF (my biggest critic) said it’s the best one yet!
I am going to have to hire a new picture assistant. I guess not hire because DBF was free, but I’ll ask my sister to do it next time. Some of the pictures came out a little dark but you can get the general idea of them. I just took a few of my favorites both in memories and the design of the pages…

Great scrapbook! You are lucky that you are crafty/creative enough to make one of those. I have always wanted to but my craft skills are not very good so I just throw all my photos in a pretty photo album and I'm done.
