Two DL CMs visit the world~~A pre-trip report! Updated WE'RE BACK!

First, this is for you...

This thread reminds me so much of my dad and I!

I can't wait to read more!

Its uplifting to see dads and daughters goofing around! Way to go guys!

A few more...they are addictive....

I guess I'm pretty lame...addicted to dancing bananas :) Sheesh!

I love the scrapbook!! Makes me want to do one for this trip in September. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I love scrapbooking, I just don't have a lot of time to do it, so I've only finished a few and none of them are Disney :sad2:

Anyways, thanks for posting the pictures. You are an excellent scrapbooker!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Great scrapbook! You are lucky that you are crafty/creative enough to make one of those. I have always wanted to but my craft skills are not very good so I just throw all my photos in a pretty photo album and I'm done.
Thank you! It's really not that hard. My trick is that my sister works for a craft store, so i use her discount and just buy a bunch of themed stickers and paper. I just put a bunch of stickers and some pictures on some pretty paper and call it a scrapbook! :thumbsup2 Trust me I have no artistic talent :sad2:
Wow! I love your scrapbook pages Tinkerboo :goodvibes

What a great job :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I bet that took an enormous amount of time :faint:

See why I haven't started mine yet ;)
Thanks blue! I just finished my scrapbook from Aug 05, so they do take a while. It's hard to stay motivated to do them too. It's worth it in the end. You should have plenty of time to work on yours on the road trip down this time! :car:

Thanks! It's so easy to make Disney scrapbooks because WDW has so many different types of paper, stickers, scissors. It's really easy to theme it all together! You should do one!

 Thank you! (can't get enough of those bananas!) My dad is pretty cool. I can't believe i just admitted that. He did buy me something lime green for my next WDW trip, so he can't be that bad. :goodvibes

I'll post a picture of it soon hopefully and update everyone on all the uneventfulness of our trip planning!

Lucky you with the discounts!!! (and your sister)

I wouldn't be able to work on that in the car. I need too much space :headache:

So there has been absolutely nothing going on with our Disney planning…:sad1: we’re at a stand still. Southwest STILL isn’t booking our return flight dates, CM rates are not out yet, the other members of our party will not give me final counts for restaurants so I can’t make ADRs.:headache: BOO! I think I will be making ADRs tomorrow regardless of the other people…I’m so anxious and want to be able to eat everywhere I want to go!
So far I’m planning on making ADRs for:
Coral Reef (1st time)
Tepenyaki (1st time)
Sci-Fi
Plaza Inn
LeCellier
Brown Derby
Ohana
Kona Café (1st time)
I’ve got some old favorites in there and some new adventures!

We did have a slight change in itinerary and have decided to spend our last night in WDW @ the Poly!! :yay:  It’s by far my favorite resort and DBF said we could spend 1 night there! I’m so excited! We'll be packing up from the ASSp a day early and heading over to paradise!

I mentioned before that dad bought me something lime greenfor my trip, here it is…

isn't it cute?!
It's already on my official WDW backpack!

That stinks that your other party members aren't giving you any indication as to where they'd like to eat while in the World. :headache: Boo!! I say go ahead and make the ADR's like you're planning to and if they don't like it, well....tough!! It's not like you didn't ask.

Hopefully the flight stuff will get worked out soon for you guys. Waiting usually means you'll get better discounts anyways. That's what I always hope for when waiting for a while before purchasing anything.

And :woohoo: :woohoo: :cheer2: :cheer2: about getting to stay at the Poly for your last night there!! I've never stayed there but it looks really awesome. What a GREAT way to end your trip. You're not gonna want to leave.

Super cute bag!

I say go and make your ADRs. If everyone else doesn't want to come to dinner then they don't have to come!

Make them!

Hey Tnkrboo! Love the Dooney :thumbsup2 and the Lime Green Mickey is cute too!

That stinks that people are not being cooperative with the ADR's.

So any updates?

Did you make your ADR's?

How was the pool last night?

Why do I have to pick you up tonight from work at 2:30 a.m.?

Don't you have a BF?

No big updates...we talked to southwest and return airfare should be up this week. :thumbsup2 We also found out from disney that CM resort rates won't be up until OCTOBER!!!:scared1: They usually come out in August, which has us worried. We've discovered through previous experiences that DL CM's really get the "less desirable" rooms and are the first to be moved around if regular paying guests need a room. So the fact that we're booking two months later gives us an even worse chance of staying where we want. Although I don't think AS's will be at capacity, I'm a planner and having to wait another 2 months to plan is not good. So lets hope for some pixie dust so we can get the rates/rooms that we want! :tinker:

Did you make your ADR's?
YES we did make our ADR's. We got all the places we wanted at the times we wanted. We also made an extra one for the California Grill. We couldn't resist.:goodvibes
How was the pool last night?
It was quite nice. Indy1 and Swimlover played waterpolo...boring
Why do I have to pick you up tonight from work at 2:30 a.m.?
b/c just last night there were 20 cop cars outside at closing because of a bar fight...i'm not crazy and walking to the car by myself...i need my dad as a bodyguard :cool2:
Don't you have a BF?Yes but he had to work at 5 in the morning...you on the other hand...weren't doing anything the next day except :happytv: and :surfweb:

Well, Indy1 and I are off to Seattle tomorrow to visit some family! Hopefully when we return we'll have out airfare booked. I let you know!

Wow a trip to Seattle, hope you had a good time.

How ever did you get to and from the Airport, was there much traffic on the drive to the airport?

I know there has been progress on your trip....

Do I have to write it for you? :confused3

Jeez, I have to do the dishes, take out the trash, drive you to and from work at all hours of the day and night and now I have to do your Trip Report too.:sad2:

popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

I think you should give it a try Goofster. Might give Tinkerboo some incentive to start writing. Always works with me when Buzz does it ;)

Tinkerboo: I'd get on that right away - never know what your dad may write that could embarrass you

I know, I know! I’m a slacker:rolleyes: … I decided that starting a trip report 7 months early probably wasn’t such a good idea because I ran out of things to say…(no comments from certain people about the amount I talk).
As far as our trip planning we don’t have too many developments. Southwest finally put up our airfare. :thumbsup2 My DBF and I were both at work when my best friend text messaged us “flights our up.” I, being the perfect employee I am, stopped everything and ran to the computer (internet blocks have been taken off) and started to book our flight home. I was just about to book them when DBF called and asked me which flight we wanted to take…evidently he was a great employee too and had stopped everything to book our return flight. I decided that I would let him use his credit card to book the flight home and we decided on a flight. Just as we were hoping the flight home was only $92!!!! We were very excited and immediately began to make fun of my DSis and her best friend who paid about $200 more then us for their flights. We do have stops on the way, but I’d rather save $200 and change planes.
Still waiting on hotel reservations…:rolleyes1

Our trip to Seattle was awesome!:goodvibes We went to visit my cousin who moved up there a few years ago. Our first night there we ate at the Space Needle, which was amazing! The view was amazing and the food was astounding! I’m not a huge steak eater, but the New York strip I had was out of this world (not nearly as good as California Grill or LeCellier). For dessert we had a sundae. This was no ordinary sundae though. It was placed on top of dry ice and they poured water on it to make it smoke and look mysterious. It was pretty cool. Of course we did all the other touristy things and went to Pike’s Market Place, the aquarium, and SAFECO field! SAFECO was probably the highlight of the trip because we got to go on the field and in the dugouts. It was amazing to drive down the 5 freeway and see lush green trees, totally different from the desert aridness of the 5 in california.

We're so excited on the elevator ride up!

At the top of the Space Needle...a little blurry, sorry.

We took a harbor cruise...

HOMERUN!!!

I’ve been obsessing about WDW for months so this was a nice little break in the planning, but the second we got back I was back on the boards and researching again. :surfweb: I’m waiting on pins and needles for my passporter to get here, I ordered the 2008 edition so I would have the most up to date information and I think they start mailing them out in November.

DBF and I have one more trip before WDW and that’s Chicago. We had booked tickets to San Fran. last year for a conference I was suppose to attend but I went to the hospital instead and we had to cancel. Now we have to use the credit before it expires so we decided to go to Chicago because DBF’s parents have a condo in the heart of downtown. With airfare already paid for and a free place to stay, we figured it was the wisest place to go. DBF LOVES  Chicago too and I’ve never been. I'm really excited about this trip:cheer2: and hope it will help to pass the time before WDW!

Sorry for the long post…

Your trip to Seattle sounds like it was a blast. That dry ice ice cream thing sounds really cool!

Woohoo for the cheap airfare!
