Two Castles and a Polynesian Dream (A Wedding & a Disneymoon) Update*Mr & Mrs*

Dave has pretty much said everything that we know of. Most of the rooms are on the upper decks as well which is cool, we're on Deck 12.

For me I think the best part so far (sure there will be more that trump this) is the fact that we got "first dibs" so to speak on the dining and port adventures. For instance the cabanas, they pretty much get booked up by Platinum and Concierge and the next lists down mostly have to put their names on a wait list.

Feel free to ask any questions and we'll do our best to answer :)

great Cruise plans you two!

Just wondering.. as you're concierge, do you get to pick the restaurants you go to? (On the night you're not going to Palo or Remy) :goodvibes
Very jealous about the Cabana on Castaway Cay! I hadn't looked into those.. must resist temptation!

Have you looked on All Ears & WDW Info at the Dream navigators? I'm hoping we get to do something like the 'Anyone Can Cook' classes on our day at sea - there's soo much going on! :wizard:

Thanks :)

I think we had our pick of any restaurant before we booked the others as our Concierge lady didn't say anything about your eating here that day and there the next.

Haven't really looked at the Navigators want to see them properly when we are there, as some of the ones posted aren't that clear to read :)

Yup, lots and lots of research :lmao:

With concierge we get priority boarding before other guests, no waiting around in the terminal is a huge bonus!

Concierge lounge stocked with food and drink, private sun deck & free sun screen. We also get to book all our excursions and dining 3-4 months out, the only other people who can do that are platinum club members which pretty much guarantees you whatever you want to do. I think there's also happy hour for about 2 hours every day in the concierge lounge which serves free wine and spirits etc. Im sure there's something I'm forgetting so Stef can fill in the blanks later.

Thanks both of you for answering my questions. Which deck do you think is better 11 or 12 and why?

See what happens when you do lots of research... people like me ask a lot of questions lol ;)

Personally I say Deck 12 because the higher the better for me, but then having said that we have never cruised before. I remember when researching some people have said the higher you are the rockier the ship can get, but when I asked a CM over the phone who had seen the ship, he said that it has these humongous stabilisers that would make it pretty hard/tough for anyone to feel the swaying of the boat. He said at most you would just feel a gentle rock, if any.

Right I need to get on with updates, got a few to do this weekend.

How are we all doing today? Good weekends so far I hope :goodvibes

So Wednesday, as you know, we bought my wedding band. We had to take the day off as the place we went to (The Diamond Bourse) was not open at weekends. We set off nice and early (arriving with just enough time to grab me a Starbucks), the owner remembered us from last time (when we went looking at rings with his daughter) and we had a nice chat.

I don't have any pictures of the ring yet and can't show off the website as the one we went for wasn't on there. But it is perfect, fits nicely against the main diamond on my engagement ring and has diamonds going half the way round the band (not a fan of all the way round as I would be scared of them falling out or getting caught on the bottom). Delivery is in 4 weeks and I can't wait to see the correct size against my ring and will defo post pictures then :)

Dave's band we are getting from another store, as a while back we went in for funsies to look and ended up trying on a few bands that he liked. My guy asked about a band for Dave and we explained what we had found and he said that he was thinking about looking into Titanium and if he gets anything before we buy Dave's band he will let us know and give us a great deal. So we are going to hold off for a bit and see what he comes back with.

Other than that, that's all the wedding news we have for now. But hopefully will have more soon :)

Stay tuned for my Pirates 4 review pirate:

Avast me hearties, ye be ready for my POTC review? pirate:

Sorry, couldn't help it :teeth:

pirates-of-the-caribbean-on-stranger-tides-international-poster.jpg

Wednesday was a busy day for us, got quite a lot done. Didn't get home til 7:30pm, but it was all good fun.

Our local cinema was showing advanced previews of the new Pirates movie and being a Wednesday and a mobile customer of Orange we thought why not do an Orange Wednesday (2 for 1 cinema tickets). So after wedding bits and cruise bits were done we headed down to Westfield to get our tickets.

Vue Cinema in Westfield is our favourite to go to as they have three different types of screens/tickets. Scene which is the VIP experience, leather chairs that recline, private bar area with refillable drinks and popcorn and other great stuff.

They also have Vue Xtreme which is basically a screen the size of four double decker buses, kinda like IMAX (still need to try that out one of these days).

The third is a regular screen which is just as good, chairs are slightly more comfortable than other cinemas with a bit more leg room. We went for the Scene screening, as after a long day walking around reclining leather chairs sounded perfect :)

On to the film, which I loved. Johnny back as the loveable pirate Captain Jack and Barbossa as sharp and crafty as ever.

The film started out quite dark, I've found that as the films have gone on they have gotten alot more darker and daring for a Disney movie.

I won't go into too much detail, but I will say that its still as fresh as ever with new characters introduced to fill the boots of Will and Elizabeth. The mermaids whilst beautiful were quite scary and deadly. Blackbeards character I found to be the typical villain, but not as evil as I had heard rumours about beforehand.

One scene I did like was when Jack appears before King George, his escape was just pure Jack, the man is just so lucky I don't know how he has stay alive for so long

If you haven't already seen the film, go see it. Even if it didn't get the best of reviews the franchise still lives up to its name and is pure swashbuckling fun that you get from Disney and the genius that is Jerry Bruckheimer. Will defo be getting this on Blu-ray when its released.

Hope you enjoyed my mini review :)

Drink up me hearties yo ho pirate:

Thank you :) Maybe when you read our TR you'll be tempted to do a Cruise with Mark :)

Actually, our plan is to go in 2013 as it will be Mark's 60th birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary.

So happy to hear about the wedding rings...can't wait to see pictures.

And thanks for the review of the new Pirate movie. It's on our list to go to this summer (if Mark ever gets a weekend off from umpping baseball).

What a wonderful celebration that will be, Dream or Fantasy?

Hopefully you will get a chance to go soon, as its really good :)

Look forward to seeing pics of your ring. Good luck with getting Dave's - I hope a deal comes through for you guys.

:woohoo: on seeing the new Pirates movie in Scene Screening!! I loved Jack and thought the mermaids were quite sweet when they were being good but when they were scary...oh boy!! :scared1:

Totally laughed at the scene where Jack appears before King George esp when King George goes oh he can't escape!!

Enjoy your Sunday - as soon as I am caught up on here am off to see United be given their trophy!! :cheer2:

Your cruise sounds like it's going to be SO amazing!! I really have to do one someday!

Can't wait to see your wedding ring, it sounds beautiful! I'm pretty sure Brandon's wedding ring is Titanium, but I'm not sure...I know it's some weird metal. It's also his second wedding band already...:rolleyes1 I'll have to tell you that story some other time, but the band he wears now is not the band I put on his finger when we got married! :rotfl:

I'm hoping to see the new Pirates movie today, it looks SO good! pirate:

Hi Stefy!

I didn't read your review of POTC4 until this afternoon, as I've seen the movie now too!

We really enjoyed it :goodvibes - saw a 10am performance so there were only about 30 people there... and pretty much everyone stayed right to the end for the extra scene after the credits! :thumbsup2

I liked the scene with King George too.. and the cameo from Dame Judy Dench (makes me think of Spaceship Earth & Epcot now hehe)
I loved the soundtrack, mixed in the themes of the original three movies but added new melodies for Angelica & Blackbeard pirate: (I'm listening to the cd now!)

Hope you've had a great weekend, looking forward to seeing the wedding rings!

Thanks, we're gonna give it a little bit and if we don't hear anything then just get from where we saw his ring.

Have you ever been to the cinema in Westfield?

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday too :)

Oh gosh his second?!? Must tell me that story :) It seems that Titanium is the metal of choice for most men now, I think rather than having the plain old band they want something different. Which is cool :)

Hope you get/got to see Pirates pirate:

Ah yes Dame Judy's cameo was great, bless her. Glad you liked the film, what was your fav scene?

Ok so one last weekend update before I start posting Day 4. I've been on a online shopping bender recently (and it's still going god help me!) and two of my purchases showed up on Friday.

The first dress is for Lake Garda and I absolutely adore it. Its a different style for me too as I am normally a v-neck girl and this is round. What do you guys think?

007.jpg

I call it my Lake Dress :teeth:

The second one I love, but its a bit more dressy and I am trying to figure out what shoes would go with them. Any ideas?

009.jpg

Also, where do you see this dress being worn?

That's it for the purchase updates for now (sorry it wasn't a Disney Disney one). Day 4 coming right up :)

Lovely dresses Stefy.. the 'lake dress' is perfect! hmmm shoes for the white one.. it would be nice if you could find sandals with rainbow/multi-colour straps .. or pick out one colour (pink or blue) for the sandals? :goodvibes

Favourite scene in Pirates.. I liked it when Jack was fighting the 'fake' Jack ;) ... and the mutiny!

Day 4 - Saturday September 18th - Shopping Day
Today we disembark from our cruise, after spending three wonderful nights on the Dream we will bid her farewell, until next time.

Hopefully it won't be too much of a palavor getting off the ship, we'll get up early and maybe have breakfast in the room or wander down to Cabanas to get one last look at the ship.

Once we've been permitted entry into PC, we'll make our way to wherever pick up's is and say hello for the first time to the lovely Sophia (Ohiodisneylover) and her hubby Joe. We're so excited to meet them, have been chatting to each other for the past year and have made firm friends, so it will be fantastic to meet them in person.

They very kindly said that they would pick us up from port (which we are very grateful for), so provided we make good time getting off the ship I promised Soph that we would go down to the beach to get some photos of the ship (as she is very excited to go to Port).

Then will pack up the car and head on over to...

MallatMillenia.jpg

Mall at Millenia for some shopping. We'll also hit up...

PrimeOutlets.jpg

Prime Outlets as well. We'll get a spot of lunch from MaM and must have a Starbucks Frappa at Prime :teeth: They are also going to take us to some of the junk shops along the way as well as our very first Wall Mart or Target shop (whichever one is over there). So very excited for that.

Once all our shopping and whatnot is done we will make our way back "home".

WDWTrip20103.jpg

WDWTrip20105.jpg

To check into...

WDWTrip2010808.jpg

Our room should be ready by the time we check in, so we'll drop our bags off in the room and most probably make a quick change for dinner which is also with the lovely Sophia and Joe at...

CaliGrill.jpg

California Grill! We had to twist a few arms and legs but they agreed to try out CG again which is fab as the food is fantastic and its such a perfect way to end the evening.

Once we're all sated, me and Dave are going to head over to...

WDWTrip2010208.jpg

MK for EMH Evening til 1am. Not sure if Joe and Sophia will be joining us, but would be lovely if they do :)

Originally, we weren't planning on seeing MK for the first time in the evening, but its calling to me for some reason.

So that's how we will end our first day, which sounds like a pretty good one if I do say so myself :teeth:

Was thinking summery sandals too for the dress, might go for thin pink straps maybe then. Thanks :goodvibes

Ah yeah that was a good scene, esp round the fire pit when the imposter was imitating Jack

Love the dresses, Stefy...very pretty.

Ah yes...you do love to go the Prime Outlet. How the heck do you get all your purchases home?

Day 4 plans sound perfect (love the Poly).

Hiya ,

I'm finally starting to catch up on the DIS. I think it will take me months though. :rotfl:

Your dresses are very cute. I love them. I think you should wear the second one to maybe your rehearsal dinner. :goodvibes

We are looking forward to day 4 and shopping with you guys. I think you are going to love the junk shops. It's amazing what you can find in those stores. :cutie:

I can't wait! Vacation can't come soon enough for me!!!

Love the dresses Stefy - they are great! :thumbsup2

I would wear the second dress with shoes in the colour of one of the butterflies and at a special dinner.

The shopping day plans sound good :)

Love the pic of you at your 'home away from home'. Going to MK on your first day sounds cool.

I have not been to a cinema in Westfield. The last time I went to London was to see baby and Johnny in Dirty Dancing on stage - it was awesome. We also went to Haagen Dazs in Leicester Square and I fell in love with that place!
