We just found out this morning that we're having twin girls!

So now we've got to find names for these kiddos. We already have on girl's name picked out for sure. It starts with an E. There's only one other girl's name that we both really like and it starts with an E as well.
So what's your opinion on twin names -- should they both be very separate and distinctive or is it OK to be a little matchy-matchy?
I always thought that they need to be very separate. DH has younger brothers that are twins and their names rhyme and you just end up ALWAYS lumping them together that way. Or, everyone calls them "the twins"... which I just HATE. I don't want them always grouped together like that; I really want them to be their own person.
But in a way I also feel a little bit silly eliminating a name that we like just because it starts with a certain letter. Altering the spelling isn't an option either as both DH and I like names to be spelled their traditional, classic way instead of some silly, invented spelling.

We've got plenty of time to come up with a second name and I'm sure we'll find something that we like... just nothing from the social security index of popular names is standing out to me. The 2 names we have so far (DD and one of the babies') were both popular in the 1910s so I want to stick around that era for the 3rd name. So feel free to throw out some ideas!!
