Ok, I'm gonna say this. I was waiting for someone else to bring it up, and maybe it's just me.

Did anyone thinkg Rosalie had a big butt?? I just remember the scene in the cafeteria when she was walking by Bella, and I think her butt looked big!!! :confused3

Yes! I thought that, too! But I think it's just an unfortunate combination of weirdly faded skinny blue jeans with stiletto heels, and a pinch-waisted short jacket. It all draws attention to her derrierre. But then it doesn't look that bad in her baseball outfit. I think it's just that Nikki Reed has curves, unlike Kristen Stewart, who is a stick.

Anyway, what I wouldn't give to have a butt that was only that big. :rotfl:

1. Have you read all four books?

Yup, and I read them on loan so I haven't had a chance to re-read yet :sad1:

2. Who created you into a 'newborn' (i.e. who turned you on to the series?)
My DD but I didn't let her read it.

3. How many times have you seen the movie...so far?
twice - but, please sir, may I have another?

4. Team Edward or Team Jacob?

5. What was your most favorite scene in the first book?

I almost can't remember. I want to answer this after I've re-read the book! I know that the begining was really good for me. When she first goes to school and see's him and he's sort of a jerk but he's hot and there's something there. Yup, I'm a sucker for that. Oh yes.

I also liked the scene where Edward sweeps in and saves Bella from the alley way attackers.

There were so many things to like!

6. What was your favorite scene in the movie?

It's funny but we seem to have alot of the same favorite scenes. I loved when the Cullen's enter the cafeteria.. the slow motion... that was GREAT!

I pretty much loved everybody's first time on camera.. So much energy bursting through my veins. What a fun time.

I loved the scene where Edward throws his arm around her and has on the ray bans.. I SO wanted to be Bella at that moment. (Everybody's staring. That guy's not staring. Nope, he's looking now.) Edward seemed so happy and I just LOVED that! I agree with another poster.. she did NOT smile enough! She has THE super smoking hot dude! SMILE already!!!!!

The baseball scene made me very much like Jasper FINALLY . His personality shown through but it was brief. The song was wonderful, the slow motion shot of Emmet throwing the ball. ALL FANTASTIC!

I have to add this part that I haven't seen many people say: I loved, loved, loved when Bella is talking to her mom on the phone and her mom says, "Are you being careful???" or something to that effect. I was :rotfl: I thought that was cute and same with when the dad is cleaning his shotgun. Those were both cute scenes added to the movie.

7. Say you were the director for New Moon, would you change anything from the first movie? Would you re-cast anyone?

I thought Alice's acting was stinky. Reeeeeally stinky. Beverly Hills 90210 stinky. And I've already mentioned how I feel about Taylor the sweetie. I love him but I want a bigger, older

Also, please take a portion of the $170 MILLION dollars we spent on this movie and resparkle that boy.

8. Do you wish that Midnight Sun, the unfinished book written from Edward's point of view, should still be young adult fiction or written with a more mature frame of mind?

Well, I've read Stephanie's "Adult" novel and it was no smutty free-for-all I can tell you that! In fact, it was equally as low key as her YA so I'm not sure there would be any difference. :confused3

9. If you were Bella, would you want to become a vampire?

That is a tough one. But I'm pretty afraid of dying. I think the idea of living forever would be appealing. But the idea of NEVER dying would be sorta scary, too. But you can still die as a vampire so you wouldn't really be as stuck in forever as it sounds. There is still the element of surprise endings

10. Just what is it about Edward Cullen??

Edward, upon first glance, is a BAD BOY who, when you take a closer look, is a sweet heart. That is the American girl dream! COME ON! Give me a smoking-hot, brooding rebel any day! No red blooded American woman can resist brooding and hot! With mystery, allure, and giving her attention??? Little ole her??? And come to find out that she's all the girl he needs/wants/desires in the world????? Alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllrighty then. Sold. Now typically, the brooding hot ones are boring or jerkbags. This one is hot, brooding (and then fun and chivilrous (SP?) when he's saved from his brooding ways by his true love).

Bonus question
Do you think:
A: We should still not try and post spoilers to protect those who haven't finished the series OR
B: Should we put a disclaimer in the first post, and post freely from now on?

B... The white never works on my computer anyway. The minute it's quoted the cat is outta the bag. Plus, there aren't many who still need the protection.

I'm typically too cheap to buy CD's but now I want that one!

Muse actually have several albums, and I definitely recommend getting all of them...They are a completely amazing band. I love how big a sound they have for being 3 guys and they are such a treat to see live as well!!!

I can see where we're headed with these comments......

(I'm there with ya!)

I'm sorry. Sometimes I just can't help myself. I've had a rough day. It's actually my friend Miller Light talking. He won't stop typing and he doesn't have a sensor between the brain and mouth. :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: Babble away. You're not bothering me in the least.

OMG!!!! YES!! Every time I have seen it now, I have thought the same thing! When she is in the garage too, it looks big! See, I kept thinking, HOW did my BIG BUTT get into TWILIGHT?? I should be so honored!! :lmao:

THATS what I was thinking!!! And then, why aren't I in the movie????

OMG -I'm soglad I'm not the only one who thought Rosalie's butt was big - LMAO

I thought I was the only one who noticed that too. And to think, I was the one to point out a girl's butt to DH! Go figure!! :confused3 :lmao: He still laughs about it!

:rotfl: I'm just glad it wasn't only me that thought that!! It has seriously been bugging me since the FIRST time I saw the movie.!!!

I thought maybe it was jealousy 'cause she got to share air with Edward, but then I was like, "Nope, she's got some junk in her trunk!" :rotfl:

Posted on Perez Hilton:

There seems to be a lot of talk and UNCERTAINTY surrounding the new Twilight sequel, New Moon.

So much so that new director Chris Weitz and even author Stephenie Meyer had to release statements explaining the situation.

But what about the reports that the studio, Summit, doesn't want to re-hire "baby-faced" Taylor Lautner as Jacob. Apparently, they don't think he has what it takes to play the werewolf love interest/lead in New Moon.

The statements released didn't confirm his return.

That was NOT an oversight!

Now, reports are that the 26 year-old actor Michael Copon, from Scorpion King 2 (above, bottom), is one of the several actors director Weitz is considering to play the new and larger Jacob Black role.

A rep for Copon said they are making all efforts to land this gig. Even Copon is taking to self-advertisement by changing his Facebook status to messages such as "Michael Copon in a Twilight Zone!" and "Michael Copon is the older Jacob Black!" His rep confirmed that the Facebook is indeed Copon's.

Hey, whatever it takes to be noticed!

Even Summit confirmed that omitting Launter from the release wasn't an error. A rep said, "The casting decision in regards to the character Jacob Black has yet to be made."

Drama!!!

Additionally, 27-year-old Prince Caspian star Ben Barnes is also campaigning for a role. He's said to be actiively trying to get the role of Aro, "a mind-reading vampire whose "New Moon" encounter with Edward and Bella helps shape their destiny together." And, coincidentally enough, Barnes has the same manager as Copon and Twilight star Cam Gigandet.

We smell a big paycheck coming in for their manager!

But even when a lead for Jacob has been cast, director Weitz is only left with about 12 weeks until filming starts.

There you have it Twilight fans!

What do U think?

Would Michael Copon be a good choice for the role of Jacob?

Would you be happy with Barnes in New Moon????

So much to discuss!!!

I go to Kansas City for three days to visit my own personal Edward, and you guys write 10 pages! I think telling my boyfriend how much he reminds me of Edward is starting to go to his head. :rotfl:

I could have sworn they had already made the announcement to replace Taylor Lautner with Michael Copon. :confused3 I thought I had received an e-mail about it from Summit. Is it not official yet? Does that mean there is hope? I still think it is downright cruel to not sign Taylor on, especially after I read the article somebody here posted where he talked about working out something like 5x a day to get buff for the next movie.

Here's my newly acquired blanket and messenger bag along with the infamous pillowcase.
smileybluebanana.gif
The blanket is softer than I expected (wish I could say the same for that pillowcase. )

Thanks for the picture! I'm so jealous of you all. There is no Hot Topic in my town where I go to university. I have to wait til I visit my parents to go, and the last time I was there was Thanksgiving! I won't get to see a Hot Topic for another week yet. :(

Ok, it's poll time people!! Cut and paste the questions and fill in your own answers!! :thumbsup2

1. Have you read all four books? I think about 7 times. I kind of lost track :rotfl:
2. Who created you into a 'newborn' (i.e. who turned you on to the series?) Actually, you all did. You managed to convince me it wasn't just some smutty story with no plot line (like the back cover made it sound).
3. How many times have you seen the movie...so far? 7, and I will be going for 8 next weekend because Aaron's (bf) sister hasn't seen it yet and wants to go with us.
4. Team Edward or Team Jacob? :lovestruc Neither. I've never understood the team thing, plus everything is settled now that I've read Breaking Dawn.
5. What was your most favorite scene in the first book? That's such an evil question! I don't know. I really like the dinner scne, or the first time Edward stays the night. Or the prom (Guinea Pig Barbie anyone?).
6. What was your favorite scene in the movie? It was literally like two seconds, but when Jasper and Alice hold hands in the car on the way to Phoenix. That image always sticks with me.
7. Say you were the director for New Moon, would you change anything from the first movie? Would you re-cast anyone? Better special effects, better dialogue, a little more true to the book, definitely fewer montages! I would not recast anybody. They better leave Jacob alone!
8. Do you wish that Midnight Sun, the unfinished book written from Edward's point of view, should still be young adult fiction or written with a more mature frame of mind? It depends on what you mean by "adult". I do not like things that are overly sexual and frankly, that was what kept me from reading it in the first place. The back cover made it sound like a cheap, explicit romance. If she made it more sexual she would lose this fan. Now, if you meant adult in another way, I would not mind.
9. If you were Bella, would you want to become a vampire? Are you seriously asking me this? :rotfl: Of course!
10. Just what is it about Edward Cullen?? I think it's his devotion.

Bonus question
Do you think:
A: We should still not try and post spoilers to protect those who haven't finished the series OR
B: Should we put a disclaimer in the first post, and post freely from now on? I agree with the others, putting them in white is good. It's just hard not to accidentally spoil something. I think those who haven't finished the books should read at their own risk!

RE: The blood typing scene

I had read that this was one of the only things that Stephanie put in the book that had happened to her. It seemed like a funny thing so she added it to the story.

I kept waiting for the "blood makes our heroine faint" fact to resurface but it never did. I felt like it was a weird sort of inclusion if it weren't going to live on in the story but.. oh well.

Here is an article that briefly mentions why the blood typing scene was left out.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/entertainmentnewsbuzz/2008/11/twilight-coun-2.html

Thanks for posting that. I still think they should have taken out the field trip and put in the blood typing. I think the reveal in the car would have been plenty dramatic.

Ok, I'm gonna say this. I was waiting for someone else to bring it up, and maybe it's just me.

I never noticed to be honest.

Ok, I have FINALLY finished Twilight...I was shocked how quick I got through it once I started in..

I also read the first chapter of New Moon...and OMG it cannot come into the library FAST enough..I may go reserve the other 2 now, just so I have them..

Great book, and I CANNOT wait to see what happens next...I am so tempted to read the thread...but I am holding back...for now...

Dax, while you wait (forever and a day) for your turn at the library for New Moon, you could read Steph Meyer's partial draft for Midnight Sun online, which is Twilight from Edward's point of view. It's FASCINATING! If she doesn't finish it soon I'm gonna go crazy.

Here's the link: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf/midnightsun_partialdraft3.pdf

You are so totally right.

THANKS...now I have something to read tonight, to keep me off of spoilers.

Stay strong, Dax!
