I've gone to midnight premieres for most Harry Potter movies, Spiderman, Batman, and Narnia. At no point was noise a problem in the sold out theatres, not even for Harry Potter. I saw the third Harry Potter at the Downtown Disney theatre, and they sold out four auditoriums of people. These were auditoriums with three levels and the manager came in and stated unequivocally that noisy patrons would be asked to leave.
I guess I just don't foresee that being a problem at the midnight showing because in my experience the theatres have been pretty good at managing the crowd. I certainly hope it isn't since it will probably be worse at the Lexicon event. People are coming from all over the country for this thing and we are talking die hard fans of the books.
I'm debating if I want to avoid this thread starting Thursday. I really don't want to spoil the movie for myself. How many spoilers are people planning to post in their reviews?
