Anybody here NOT going to the midnight opening?

I would love to, but have to teach at 7:30 am then make an 8 hour drive to Tennessee for the Lexicon event. Since there is no way my boyfriend can drive my car, I have to be conscious!

I have no foggy clue how I am going to hold out until Saturday. (I'm seeing the movie with my boyfriend at the special Twilight Lexicon showing. It's at 10:30 am on Saturday, and there are tons of door prizes. They just announced that a Bella bracelet and engagement ring are chief among them!)

I'll have to post photos of the even for you all.

I checked my DVR to see when they will be on Ellen and it doesn't have them listed and I checked all days from tomorrow till the 21st. On the 20th Miley Cyrus is on and on the 21st John Travolta is on.(they are promoting Bolt)

I'll be seeing the movie on Thursday the 20th at around 3 or 4pm. I'll report as soon as I get back.

Speaking of cougar... did anybody check out that link I first posted that was the interview with Rob? He make some points that I agree with and points that I grapple with as well. It's a really good interview IMO.

Also, did anybody check out the link to the filming of the movie in that same post? It was kinda funny.

No midnight premiere for me. I'd actually like to be able to HEAR the film, and no way that will happen with the midnight showing shrieking teens (and a few Twilight Moms). no offense ladies, but movies are pricey enough, so we don't go very often. Gotta savor those moments. I think I'm going to do a matinee on my own Thursday or Friday, or maybe the following week. Whatever floats my boat. Just hoping that the critics don't disembowel the film before I get to see it. It ruins it for me.

I'm not...we're going Saturday morning...I refuse to pay $10 each to go to the movies...We came from somewhere where movies cost $6.50...then we moved to the DFW area and movies up here cost $10...
we go to the movies ALL the time, but I have not seen a movie past noon in over 2 years...since AMC has $5 before noon on the weekends, that is what we always do...perfectly happy that way...crowds usually aren't existant.

I thought about that... you make a REALLY good point. My original plan was to go see it on a monda matinee (my day off) all by myself with a dark hat and glasses... I may stick to that instead. lol

Im going to the midnight premiere for the excitement and fun of it.. then probably a matinee over the weekend with someone who hasnt seen it yet so I can just drink Edward in. Then probably during the week sometime... then probably again when I say I am going to the store for milk...

How are people going to a Thursday Matinee? The film is released on the 21 at midnight so Thursday night/Friday morning. It was my understanding that a theatre can get in a lot of trouble for releasing it early. So there shouldn't be any Thursday matinees.
