I've gone to midnight premieres for most Harry Potter movies, Spiderman, Batman, and Narnia. At no point was noise a problem in the sold out theatres, not even for Harry Potter. I saw the third Harry Potter at the Downtown Disney theatre, and they sold out four auditoriums of people. These were auditoriums with three levels and the manager came in and stated unequivocally that noisy patrons would be asked to leave.

I guess I just don't foresee that being a problem at the midnight showing because in my experience the theatres have been pretty good at managing the crowd. I certainly hope it isn't since it will probably be worse at the Lexicon event. People are coming from all over the country for this thing and we are talking die hard fans of the books.

I'm debating if I want to avoid this thread starting Thursday. I really don't want to spoil the movie for myself. How many spoilers are people planning to post in their reviews?

How are people going to a Thursday Matinee? The film is released on the 21 at midnight so Thursday night/Friday morning. It was my understanding that a theatre can get in a lot of trouble for releasing it early. So there shouldn't be any Thursday matinees.

I think the film is being released in Puerto Rico on the 20th, so their midnight release is on Wednesday/Thursday.

I just stumbled upon these pictures from an upcoming issue of In Style. They are all so gorgeous :faint:

If I don't go to the midnight showing, I too, will be hiding out until I can see the movie and try not to hear a thing! :ssst:

Awesome pics...the Bella star reminds me of Elivis Presley's daughter.

I live in Portland, OR where many of the scenes were filmed. There is one place, where the "prom" scene was filmed that is offering a "prom party" for Twilight fans which includes:

November 20th, 21st – Come Dance Where they Danced…
Come to the Prom at The View Point Inn. Actual scenes from the movie will be recreated using the real sets from filming. Sets, props, photos and memorabilia will be up for viewing. Come enjoy a “Monte Carlo” night like Bella and Edward. Admission is $47. Price includes admission to the Prom, a movie ticket for the midnight showing of the film at the Sandy Cinema, food and a non-alcoholic beverage, a Twilight t-shirt, a Twilight poster and a copy of a never before seen photo from filming.

I'm seriously considering it. :sad2: I need an accomplice though as I cannot drive at night and this place is up in the mountains. How fun though! Any takers?

I may go to the 11 am showing in KOP. I have a wedding at 3 pm on Friday so I'm trying to take the whole day off.

Yup, that's why, hehe

BTW, Arelys you beat me! I was just about to post the InStyle pics, lol:rotfl:
They're to die for, seriously Kristen and Rob are just to pretty, hehe:love:

wow lucky you...for big movies any theater I've ever been at makes sure people aren't running around...but that's about it...I mean people are insanely loud even at non sold out showings of non big movies...you must have the best theaters in the world there to be able to control that! That's why I stopped going to evening showings of movies...people are too loud and annoying that I just can't enjoy the movies...yay for before noon showings!! (where people are generally quiet!)

I was trying to think who she reminded me of and now that you mention it, you are absolutely correct. She does look so much like her.

I would so go to that if I didn't live a million miles away. It sounds like a blast.

Great minds think alike :thumbsup2

That's awesome!

I'm going to a midnight showing and I'm not planning on posting any spoilers at all. I'll answer questions but I won't spoil it for anyone...I hope everybody else does the same.

I checked out the link from IMDB a few pages back and all the posts have been deleted. Hmmmm....

Hmmm, that article sounds a lot fake to me because Kristen has been saying from the start how respectable fans have been, etc. I've never heard her say anything like that and quite frankly I don't believe it.

Seems a lot like words were taken out of context, probably because some fans were stalking the actors hotel rooms during filming and that's quite unrespectable.

I've seen people complaining about the quote by Rob, too online and that one doesn't sound right either. Both of them seem very respectful of the Twilight world.

I posted that link before reading the recent posts. Sorry, it's just repeating what we already know!

I don't think I like this Kristen Sterwart too much.

What a nice thing to say about the people who are keeping you relevant.

I do think the little cartoon is funny though.

I am highly skeptical of those articles as well. Everything I've read from both Rob and Kristen have been very positive regarding the books and the fans.

Here's an interview with Rob. In it he says he's read the first three books, but not Breaking Dawn. I thinks it is pretty good. Looks like there are lots of other interviews by other cast members as well.
