I highly recommend them!!!

the author is Stephenie Meyer and there's 3 in the series so far.

#1 is Twilight
#2 is New Moon
#3 is Eclipse

Fabulously addictive and wonderful story about a 17 year old girl who falls in love with a vampire, who is also a 17 year old ...for the last 100 years.

The concept sounds lame, I know, but just take a look if you are looking for a good read! Just be sure to feed your kids and do your chores first before you pick up Twilight because you'll be hooked.

Anyone else totally, head over heels in love with these books???

I LOVE that series  . I'm currently reading Eclipse and I'm a little over halfway done. But ugh, I like Jacob a lot more than I like Edward.. ;)

My DD and all her friends are obsessed with this series. I might read them soon.

Me too!
Also, Bella's spinelessness and constant need to be rescued irritates the stew out of me. Even with that, still love these books and can't wait until the next one!

I've been meaning to check these out since I've seen several of my students reading them. Interesting storyline.

Lori P. :)

Plan to read them soon. Waiting for them to be available at the library, they're just too popular!

My cousin recommended them to me (I love vampires). I went through the entire trilogy in one weekend.

Ahh YAY, finally another Jacob fan :goodvibes . And I agree, it irritates me too. I can't wait either, eeek, I finally finished Eclipse this morning. It left me wanting more.

Love them!! My niece wanted to read them and my SIL asked me to read them first since I like Vampire stories. After reading the firstbook I went out and bought the entire series. Did you know that they are making a Twilight movie? Also check out Stephenies website (stepheniemeyerdotcom) she has started writting Twilight from Edwards point of view ( Midnight Sun) and it is going to be fantastic! It will be a bit darker because it is from a vampires point of view. It really has a different feel from Twilight.

Here is the info on Midnight Sun ( Edward's view) You will need to click on the link in the article to read the first chapter. I can't wait for this one to be complete.

Thanks for the heads up, I also love vampires! I will go get them.

If you want more, go check out Anne Rice for the adult read.
She has the Vampire Chronicles. I read the first 3 so far. If you ever saw Interview with a Vampire you will note how different the movie and the book is. Very interesting comparison. They compile book 2 and 3 into "Queen of the Damned" movie.

Book 2 is "The Vampire LeStat", which is very good.:thumbsup2

I definately agree! I love Anne Rice and have read all of her vampire chronicles and have been looking for a good vampire series since. The Twilight series is really good however keep in mind that it is written for Young Adults. The series is lot different from Anne's view of vampires but it is still really good.

Another adult vampire series that was recommended to me is by JR Ward. I just picked up the first book in the BlackDagger Brother Hood Series - Dark Lover. I haven't started it yet so I hope it is as good as everyone says.

I blew through the Twilight series the weekend before Christmas, and am seriously thinking about re-reading them already. I love the Anne Rice books, and wasn't sure I'd enjoy a series meant for young adults, but I was pleasantly surprised. I even found myself tearing up a few times! I have to agree that Bella's "damsel in distress" personality does grate on my nerves a bit.

I'll give these a try, thanks!!

I'm currently on book 5 of Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire series and they are ADDICTIVE. I first read her Harper Connelly series (about a woman who can detect bodies), but apparently the Southern Vampire series is her signature series. And it's being made into an HBO series starring Anna Paquin called True Blood.

Tried them, but they were "eh" in my opinion. Most likely because they are considered young adult and not as "dark" as I normally enjoy my vampires. I'm more of an Anne Rice/Laurell K Hamilton/Kim Harrison/Jim Butcher type of girl.
