TWILIGHT vampire book!!!!!

Well, nothing like being last to a party... LOL But I have an excuse -- I'm usually stuck reading nothing but textbooks! I took the summer off, and thanks to this thread finally decided to read "Twilight." Can I just say, as a *cough*slightly-older-than-a-teenager*cough*, OMG?!?

I picked "Twilight" up at the library Saturday afternoon. DS was going to spend a few nights with my folks, and I wanted a book to distract me from missing him. I finished that by Sunday, and spent the rest of that evening just sitting around kind of stunned, so affected by the book. Got an email from the library yesterday that "New Moon" was available for me to pick up and I practically raced there after work. Started reading it at stop lights on the way home -- I just couldn't wait. Finished it last night, and couldn't fall asleep for hours after that. Now I keep checking my email every 2 minutes, hoping that "Eclipse" has been turned back in!

Now, thanks to you guys, I found the TwilightMoms site, and I don't feel like such a weirdo for loving these books and characters so much! And there's a MOVIE coming out?? Holy cannoli....

I thought that I was the only nutcase like this! I have Eclipse on a shelf and am trying to drag out reading it until closer to when Breaking Dawn comes out because I'm so infatuated with it. I re-read Twilight over the weekend (snagged it from my DsD when she was busy ). I enjoyed it even more than before I've been very moony the last two days at work-it feels ridiculous! I wish I knew someone closer to home who was into all of this-I have a feeling that I'm going to want to see the movie over and over My husband thinks I've lost my mind.

My family thinks I am crazy. I told my husband I think they brain washed me. I have never reread a book within a month of reading it the first time. With these I have reread all of them.

My niece who is 14 made fun of me. Then she read them and hasn't put them down since. Either has her friend.

Cannot wait for Breaking dawn. I had ordered it from amazon but decide I can't wait that long and will just run out and buy it at 12:00.

Add me to the addiction list! My neice gave me the first two books to read this weekend. I read Twilight on Saturday and New Moon on Sunday. I reread Twilight yesterday!

I also went out and bought Eclipse for myself... I am soooo in love with Edward!!!

I am sort of re-reading the books too, I'm listening to the audiobooks at night before bed. Why do you all think that it is so easy to re-read these??? I am all about re-reading after a few years but I don't want to pick up anything else at the moment!

As for the ending, she better become a vampire because I will be very unhappy if she doesn't! She needs to be with Edward. Jacob needs to imprint on one of her friends or something, so he's happy too. I think that in the end Charlie knew about what everyone is and just didn't let on!

I felt the same way about the books. I wanted to ask you if you have had any trouble joining Twilightmoms? I am dying to post there but haven't been able to get my account activated and it's been 3 days since I signed up!

Just be patient I know easier said then done- lol. The group has really grown and it does take a few days to get activated.

I was wondering if Jacob lied and really imprinted on Bella.... I was thinking the same thing about Charlie too, he just seems so duh not to know notice anything out of the ordinary LOL

We do know that Jacob did NOT imprint on Bella for sure, because Stephenie has actually come out and said so. THANK GOD!!

Jacob will not imprint Leah either. I believe Stephenie said that after turning into the werewolf the first second they see the person they imprint on they will know that it has happened. Jacob has seen Leah since he has turned so he has still yet to imprint.

So what would be the absolute worst outcome for this series for you? For me it would be that Bella ends up alone, without Edward or Jacob. I also really want her to become a vampire! I need my happy ending!!

I agree, Edward and Bella HAVE to end up together, as vamps of course!

Yeah, poor Charlie, he truly is clueless or it could just be an act. I'm not sure about it being an act though.

I've seen some theories of Jacob imprinting Tanya, personally I think that would be hilariously sick and twisted of Stephenie. But I have no theories myself. I kind of want to go into it not expecting anything. It is always fun to hear some peoples theories though.

My DD sits with a huge grin on her face when I read it. She is completely smitten with Edward. My DS thinks that Edward is the ideal male.

I couldn't wait to finish the book, so I read ahead and am rereading the parts that my kids haven't read to them. It's really given us some nice family time on our deck when we get together for me to read and for them to listen. I can't wait to be finished with Twilight so I can read them New Moon and Eclipse. We should be finished with those by August 2nd and I'm 5th on the libraries' hold list for Breaking Dawn.

Lucky you!! My library has ordered four copies and I'm number 191 on the hold list. Yes, that's right ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY ONE!! I will definitely be getting it before then. Hopefully at the midnight release party. My plan to convert my as-old-as-me friends is working!
