Hey, can I join in on here? I am a very late comer but I absolutely love the entire Twilight series. I just started reding the first one about a month ago and I finished Breaking Dawn yesterday. I love them all so much and am now obsessed. I can't wait for the movie to come out.

I have officially converted my boyfriend! When I got onto AIM today, he told me he was mad at me, that it was my fault he was up til 4am finishing Twilight.

I was nervous he wouldn't like it, but he said he just had to finish it. I am going to give him the other three to read when we got to the movie. Just under two weeks!

I know this is the wrong place to put this, but there was another trailer on last night during The Simpsons. My confidence in this film is at an all time low and it is a total bummer. The more I see, the worse it looks. I really did adore the books, but blech! The special effects look very Crouching Tiger in some scenes, and just silly in others (particularly anytime a vamp is running).

I PRAY that like with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, that they are still tweaking the effects for the final film and what we see in the trailers isn't the be all end all.

I'm not expecting Oscar performances, or an Oscar caliber film (and I think it is extremely eye-roll worthy that Stephenie Meyer would say that Robert Pattinson's performance was OScar worthy in her eyes), but I would like an entertaining film that doesn't make me cring throughout with cheese, and right now it looks VERY Velveeta.

Maybe...maybe if I set my expectations low enough, the film will blow me away?

CP thanks for all of the links! It was good to see some of the human characters in the clips and more of Jacob as well. Thanks!

I'm kinda starting to feel the same way. The one scene that really annoys me is when they are in the car, when James is after them and Bella says something to Edward and he just kinda looks away in a sort of cheesy, SNL skit kind of a way. It drives me insane every time I see it! I really hop it's not cheesy. I am trying not to watch too much movie sneak peaks and I want to go into the movie with an open mind cause I really love the books so much. I already bought my tickets and am just counting down the days, but I don't want to have high expectations.

I am worried, too although I think that I will like it even if it is cheesy just because I like the series so much. I am more worried about how the rest of my family will take it. They are all saying that they want to see it but I'm hoping that they will like it and not think it's cheesy.

I have to admit I am alittle nervous too - I really want it to be great but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. What worries me is that it was filmed so quick on a small budget ( they intended it to be a teen movie - I don't think they expected the hype Twilight has gotten from older fans as well as the younger fans) - I am really hoping they can pull off the blockbuster type movie with this but I am not so sure. I am trying to go into this with low expectations and hope to be blown away.

Just finished Eclipse moments ago! I must go get Breaking Dawn today! I don't think I can wait!

I think I liked Eclipse almost as much as Twilight. They are all good but I loved the suspense in Eclipse.

And I think I like Jacob almost as much as I like Edward! Not sure what "team" I'd be on!

Allyson :)

Good Monday to everyone!

SSB also hoping for good film... and have to say that I have not watched clips as of yet, as wanting to hold off until film. (could be a good or bad thing... I am not sure which... ha-ha!)

Close to finishing New Moon, and really have liked it almost as much as Twilight... can't wait for others.

I just picked up Twilight last Wednesday. I finished it over the weekend and picked up New Moon. I am already halfway through it! I may have to go out and pick up the other two tonight. I am loving these books!!

Adding to that, I am worried that since it is hyped up so much, it can face being a huge flop and then we will never get to see the rest of the books made into a movie. A lot is riding on Twilight to be a blockbuster hit.
