Tusker House lunch?

I've seen a lot of reviews for Tusker House at breakfast, but not so many for lunch! How is it? Does it compare to Boma in terms of variety of dishes? How is the quality? Wondering if we should switch to YnY or just grab counter service.

I am no fan of Yak & Yeti. Too much of the food is not authentic.

Tusker House has similar 'flavors' to Boma, but I believe many people will tell you not as good as Boma.

But Boma has no Characters and does not provide a rest from a morning in Animal Kingdom.

We did the TH lunch in October. We loved it! We only did that one because we couldn't get the character meal we'd really wanted, yet we all agreed afterwards that it was the best surpirse meal. And the kids with us had great character interaction.

I thought lunch was great. The food choices were varied and lots of vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The character interactions were fantastic. It had a bit calmer meal than many other character meals.

Boma probably is the better restaurant if you're visiting just to get an amazing meal. But as another poster put it, only Tusker House provides a convenient sit-down break from the Animal Kingdom in the middle of the day.

1) The characters at Tusker get great remarks for the time they spend at the tables.
2) The food is good, but not as spicy as it was once.
3) A good choice for a character lunch.

NOTE: To us, Boma is not that great. Yes, they have TERRIFIC SOUPS, but the meats and sides were not impressive. Plus, it was so noisy due to poor acoustics design. Hard to enjoy a meal with hands over your ears to muffle the noise.
