Tusker House is now 2 dining credits!

I'm fairly confident that this is a glitch now. Just booked another reservation moments ago and the confirmation that came still states one credit even though the info page says 2. Hope this settles some nerves

That might be true (although we were very happy with the food on our last trip) but it's still worth it to see my kids faces light up when the characters come to the table "just to see them". it's probably not for everyone but it melts my heart so it's worth it to me!

I feel the same way as you do. I have loaded my trip up with character meals for my kids. However I will not keep them for two credits. But stressed now because everything else booked.

I'm really hoping this is just some sort of glitch....we have Akershus and Chef Mickey's booked for September. No way am I spending 2 credits for either.

Something's definitely wonky on the website. While I believe that they might bump the mentioned restaurants up to 2 credits, other restaurants have some glitches too. For example, Garden Grill isn't showing anything credit-wise for lunch. Not NA, just nothing, blank. With the expected 1 credit for breakfast and dinner. Also, if I try to get to the Disney Dining Plan page (either thru the drop down menu or the link in any of the restaurant pages I looked at), it sends me to a blank page that won't load. Not even the usual cutesy Stitch "Oops, someone ate the page" error message.

As for the 2017 NA credits all over the place, they all seem to be that way. Except BOG, which is showing QS for breakfast and lunch, then NA for dinner. Maybe because 2017 packages aren't released yet?

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining, the first cast member said that yes dinner for Akershus and Tusker House are showing as 2 credits, but she transferred me to another cast member who said both of these resteraunts are both 2 credits for dinner for the Thanksgiving season only. I still feel a little confused but I think I will keep our reservations for now since the cast member stated for September both dinners should only be 1 credit. /shrug

People buy the plan so their dining expenses are somewhat capped at Disney. Disney has everyone plan 180 days in advance and people have budgeted x amount for their trip. When you think you are using your plan for specific meals and the terms change it alters your plans and budget.

DW and I just sent 5 nights at BWV----- Ate wherever and whenever we wanted, and Drank...... Tusker house dinner, hopping DS restraunts for apps and drinks, BOG, Big River, captains grille, cape may cafe, snacks, etc--- 600 entire trip. Do the math.

And there is a capital D in Drank for a reason......

I would not, under any circumstances, take call center CMs answer as gospel. They have no information and are prone to just make stuff up.

My 180 days was June 1. I was up and ready and nothing was open at anytime for any meal we wanted. I have looked everyday turns out they haven't released them yet because of the changes to the credits and the holiday hours. So no luck for me to be grandfathered in if it does change because they wont let me book! A 5 night 6 day stay just turned into only eating 2 table services if they do that. Unless I cut out CRT, Akershus, and Tusker House. How is that worth it? Our first Disney trip is not turning out as magical as I thought it would.

I do not care for the DDP myself but respect it works for others. If the cost of these places has gone up OOP per meal then that is what OOP customers like us are facing it happens but it is more logical to raise the price of the dining plan now not the credits needed for the meals. If you have already purchased it well that is your good fortune! Like when the AP price goes up and I am 6 months into mine I do not expect them to stop me at the golden Mickey heads and ask for the difference in the new AP price....

They cannot keep increasing credits with inflation.. Soon CRT will be worth 10 credits or a weeks worth lol.. Fuzzy logic surely..

1. I do the math.

2. You may be able to eat like this as a couple. I have two small children who can't do apps and drinks for dinner.

3. We always use the deluxe plan so we can do character breakfasts and a nicer meal at night.
Math wise, we always come out ahead.

4. We don't use the basic Disney Dining Plan bc I think it's not easy to use- I was merely making an observation based on my experience.

I get that everyone travels differently, you clearly didn't see the need to do the same things we do. I am not belittling your choice.

You understand what it means if its a glitch right? It means this change is still coming in the future and it was accidentally released early.

If is truly a glitch, its yet another one in their technology department.

For a multi billion dollar company, their IT department leaves a lot to be desired.

Sometimes I think they have glitches and others I think it's intentional.

What better way to soften the blow in 6 months... Leak it now everyone freaks out then they retract it and say sorry not till 2017, everyone going between now and then is happy and all the 2017 people are prepared.

Waiting for people to buy the plan, book restaurants, release free dining so all other options are eliminated, and then change the price is not ethical or professional. It's strong arming cash out of your consumers. I am optimistic Disney would not stoop to sleazy used car tactics, but based on current Disney mindset, I am going to follow.

When they change the price on something, they don't normally give you a 6 month to a year warning, they just do it.

i dont feel like the first week of december would be thanksgiving time, and not worth two credits

I'm thinking this might be the reason late November/early December reservations have been hard to come by. It will be interesting to see if they now "magically" start appearing.

My thoughts on that are that Disney would do that, however if your reservations are already made, they would only charge you the 1 TS.

My guess (purely a guess) is that they will go ahead with the 2 credits, but quickly reduce to 1 for anyone questioning it (for a short time).

I did not think they changed the credits half way through the year. Once 2016 is out, wouldn't it be left alone?
