Turn Around and See What Happens -- It's Whoopi Time and that's a wrap 3/31; F&G add

Okay, after binge-reading, I'm caught up!

So, did you like the Boardwalk? I think we may stay there next time.

I'm loving all of the Dismeets. I wish I could've seen Rosie running up and hugging Mark. :lmao:

I can't believe you ate at Whsipering Canyon. :faint: We had Jeffro too, a pretty good server, and yes, not quite as rambunctious as the others. Although he did make a crack about me taking pictures of my food, so he's kind of still on my you-know-what-list.

I can't believe you didn't get a photo of Mark falling into the bushes! That would've been priceless.

What a coincidence! My youngest son is 27 tomorrow! And I'm only 39 too!

Happy Birthday to your youngest.

I have AK and BW booked as well - talk about more coincidences... eerie!

Great minds think alike. :)

As for your latest update, adorable sombrero models! Cute tradition.

Thanks. :)

I have a new favorite Epcot snack that I discovered at Karamel Kuche last trip - the caramel brownie. Oh man that's delish.

I will suggest that to Mark when we are there in two weeks.

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you with prepping for painting. Every time we paint we say we're never doing this ourselves we need to hire someone. Yeah, just painted another room about a month ago. :lmao:

Well, if nothing else, it is one way my house will be fully cleaned afterwards. Washing blinds, cleaning curtains, etc. Mark painted his bedroom...hence why I hired someone else for the rest of the house. ;)

You will love Frozen! I've seen it twice - once with my husband and then I saw the sing-a-long with friends from church.

I've seen it once but have been dying to go back.

I get to spend most of the next week cleaning and moving furniture too - we're getting new windows in the entire house next week.

That's next on my list. We've had a broken window in Mark's room for quite some time and it has to be replaced.

I hope the wind from this storm isn't blowing you away yet. I feel like Dorothy when I step out of the house!

I literally thought the wind would take me right into the Chicago River this morning. Holy Batman!

Happy Birthday to Andy!!!

Andy says thank you.

Yay for your trip being booked and mostly paid for!!! :cool1: Although, I really wish you were there just a tad later or I a tad earlier.... we always tend to just miss each other in the fall.

One of these days, one of these days. The problem with later is it runs into Mark's show schedule. :(

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:bday:

Andy thanks you Mo.

I hope you have a wonderful SLOW day today. your not wind blown...

gotta enjoy something frozen might as well see the movie!!!

Yes, I'd rather see Frozen than BE frozen. Darn Chicago weather.

I wondered if anyone else had noticed that. I noticed it right away and it CRACKED. ME. UP!!! :rotfl: That is so like something my kiddos would do.

Seriously, I thought that was a "boy" thing. :rotfl2:

And I must agree with what everyone else said, Mark in the China hat is my favorite Mark in a hat photo yet! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you liked it.

Karmel Kuche... :cloud9:

I could go for a caramel apple right about now.

Did you try some cartwheels too?

Ummm....no; they would have needed a gurney to come and get me.

Because it was still raining?:rotfl2:

No, the kids like it.

Longer than 5 minutes? I don't think I've ever seen that.

It was a 30 minute wait!

Okay, after binge-reading, I'm caught up!

YAY!

So, did you like the Boardwalk? I think we may stay there next time.

LOVED it, Glenn. We are staying there again in September.

I'm loving all of the Dismeets. I wish I could've seen Rosie running up and hugging Mark. :lmao:

Me too; I definitely would have posted a picture of that.

I can't believe you ate at Whsipering Canyon. :faint: We had Jeffro too, a pretty good server, and yes, not quite as rambunctious as the others. Although he did make a crack about me taking pictures of my food, so he's kind of still on my you-know-what-list.

It was breakfast, a totally different meal and experience. A positive one. I still won't go back for dinner. We loved Jeffro. He said something about taking food pictures? He probably figured only us gals do that.

I can't believe you didn't get a photo of Mark falling into the bushes! That would've been priceless.

It sure would have been priceless.

I forgot a photo when I did the last update while we were in Mexico:

I posted this pic on FB and Mary's husband, Jeff, said "put those back!" I think he knows his girls are princesses.

I also missed these photopass pictures (this is the problem with having separate folders ).

We moved on in World Showcase.

We stopped in America and we got some pictures with us and the girls:

Mary and the girls went into Japan to pick a pearl. I took this opportunity to go and get one of these:

After their pearls were ready, we decided we were all beat and to stop for one more attraction that we had gotten our "cheat" FP on:

Mary was too tired so she sat it out and I think she talked to Jeff while we were gone:

We called it a night then. We headed back to the Boardwalk and Mark decided he wanted to go walk over and see the pool since we'd not had a chance up until then.

Close your eyes if you don't like scary clowns (especially ones in the dark):

After our tour of the pool, we headed up to the room and hit the sack really quickly. We have another busy day coming up.

Up next: Our BIG surprise

Great night, Vodka slushy and Soarin! You can't go wrong with either of those.

Very cute PP pictures!

Yep, definitely do not want to stay at the Boardwalk after seeing those night pool pictures. I don't know how anyone doesn't think the clown is creepy with his glowing eyes!! :rotfl:

So that's the creepy clown. Don't think I've seen it before. My youngest granddaughter would love it. She thinks Killer Klowns from Outer Space was a comedy. Very strange child.

Happy Birthday to your son. My baby was 27 last week. Where has the time gone?

now just because you didnt share the pic of it, i know he jumped in canon ball style...I know i would have.:)

Oh I love Pick-a-Pearl!! I think it's such a cute little experience! I still have my pearl in my sock drawer though, because I didn't want to buy any of the settings at Disney. I need to get on that.

That pool is mortifying. WHO ON EARTH thought that that was a good idea? :worried:n I'm not even really a "scared of clowns" kind of person but that just seems awful!

Pick a pearl is such fun! One of my girls got "twins" and we are saving them to make earrings (she didn't have pierced ears when she got them).

Hope you're hanging in there with the weather! We just got a reminder that no, in fact, winter is not yet over. 10" of heavy wet stuff and now it's blowing around like it's Chicago! ;)

Nice way to end the night on Soarin'! I don't know that I would do well on it right after a slushy though!

What IS it about Boardwalk that they have creepy face things - the chairs, the pool…? I still want to stay there, but jeez, that stuff is making it hard! :clown::faint:

Happy Birthday to your son!

What a nice evening! Love your drink choice. :thumbsup2

That pool pic though... glowing eyes? Really??!!! :scared1:

Pick a pearl is such fun! One of my girls got "twins" and we are saving them to make earrings (she didn't have pierced ears when she got them).

That's cool. :)

Nice pictures, Kathy. Any day that ends with Soarin' and a stroll to the Boardwalk can be counted as a good day! :thumbsup2

That picture of the girls in their tiaras is just so darn cute. How could you resist buying them?

Poor Mary - I know that feeling of being so beat you just have to stop.

Never thought of taking a a scary picture of the clown at night. I'm always too busy taking pictures of the Todd and Paul scary chairs. You needed to include them all in the same update! :rotfl2:

High! I'm subscribed, your on page 60 and I've read five pages and still do not know what new resort you tried. Had to say- the B&W marriage photo on page 1 is priceless.

The girls look so cute with their sombreros and their tiara's. True princesses.

Great update Kathy !! I actually viewed it last night at work!!! It was one of the consumers reward for GOOD behavior .She knows Mark wears hats and you are Kathy . She loved the px !! See I get Dis Time at work, legitimately:rotfl2: Soarin' is my favorite ride:thumbsup2:goodvibes

Belated Happy Birthday to your son !!!!!:goodvibes:banana::banana:

Loving your report. I do want to say that I did GG back in 2011 with my daughter. We were celebrating her 18 B-Day. It was just a fun night. Before taking us to table they yelled down to Sunshine to have them sing to her. Then Chip was a hoot. The food was ok nothing special. I think the whole feeling of the night was one of the best we had. I personally don't feel the food has to be over the top every meal. We had full tummies and a lot of laughs when we left.
Love all your hat pics. I agree that china one on Mark is the best. Those are two very cute little girls. Love seeing them full of smiles.
The clown now makes since at the BW pool. I never knew it was a circus theme. As for the glowing eyes, kind of creepy and I love clowns.

Thursday, March 6, we will have something quick from Mara for breakfast and then head over to Epcot. We have FP+ for Living with the Land, Soarin' and Mission (for Mark). We'll only be at Epcot until 1:00 and then we drive to the Beach Club for lunch at Beaches & Cream at 1:30.

After lunch, we will drive to Naples where we will stay until Sunday. Mark has two customers he needs to see on Friday. I may or may not go with him. Unfortunately, Nicki has to work on Saturday, so she's hoping to get Friday off or part of the day and we'll go shopping. We will have dinner with Todd and Nicki on Friday night at Tommy Bahamas.

Saturday will be a pool day (we are counting on warm weather). Saturday night we will have dinner at Da Ru Ma with Todd and Nicki. We fly home Sunday morning.

I think it will be a good trip. We are seeing two customers I've not met before and a few favorites. And it's always good to get a Disney fix in there. :)

If Nikki can't off on Friday with you, I'll go shopping with you ;) I have Friday off as its my AWS Day.

Great night, Vodka slushy and Soarin! You can't go wrong with either of those.

I do love my grand mariner slush, and Soarin' is a perfect way to end the night.

Very cute PP pictures!

Thank you.

Yep, definitely do not want to stay at the Boardwalk after seeing those night pool pictures. I don't know how anyone doesn't think the clown is creepy with his glowing eyes!! :rotfl:

I'm okay with it because we tend to go to the quiet pool and NOT the main pool at most resorts (except AKL).

So that's the creepy clown. Don't think I've seen it before. My youngest granddaughter would love it. She thinks Killer Klowns from Outer Space was a comedy. Very strange child.

Yes she is a very strange child. :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday to your son. My baby was 27 last week. Where has the time gone?

I don't know...but I wish it would stop going so darn fast!

now just because you didnt share the pic of it, i know he jumped in canon ball style...I know i would have.:)

Dan, you've not met Mark; trust me, that wouldn't have been happening.

Oh I love Pick-a-Pearl!! I think it's such a cute little experience! I still have my pearl in my sock drawer though, because I didn't want to buy any of the settings at Disney. I need to get on that.

Do you know in ALL of our visits, I have yet to personally do pick-a-pearl. One of these days I will. Oh, I hope you get yours out soon and get it into a setting.

That pool is mortifying. WHO ON EARTH thought that that was a good idea? :worried:n I'm not even really a "scared of clowns" kind of person but that just seems awful!

It scares the you know what out of me.

Pick a pearl is such fun! One of my girls got "twins" and we are saving them to make earrings (she didn't have pierced ears when she got them).

What a lovely idea.

Hope you're hanging in there with the weather! We just got a reminder that no, in fact, winter is not yet over. 10" of heavy wet stuff and now it's blowing around like it's Chicago! ;)

Seriously, will this winter ever end? We've not had any more snow since a week ago Monday, but we are getting that cold spell again.

Nice way to end the night on Soarin'! I don't know that I would do well on it right after a slushy though!

Oh, Soarin' didn't bother me after the Slush. Now, Primevil Hurl would have been a different story.

What IS it about Boardwalk that they have creepy face things - the chairs, the pool…? I still want to stay there, but jeez, that stuff is making it hard! :clown::faint:

I know; I had to turn the other way when we walked through the lobby. Those chairs scared me. I imagine some evil mother putting her children in those chairs when they are bad. :scared1:

Happy Birthday to your son!

Thank you.

What a nice evening! Love your drink choice. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Ann.

That pool pic though... glowing eyes? Really??!!! :scared1:

Really...even scarier in person.

That's cool. :)

I agree!

Nice pictures, Kathy. Any day that ends with Soarin' and a stroll to the Boardwalk can be counted as a good day! :thumbsup2

Caren, I couldn't agree more. :)

That picture of the girls in their tiaras is just so darn cute. How could you resist buying them?

Mary Ellen, it was very hard for me NOT to buy them; but they each got to pick out a surprise the next day.

Poor Mary - I know that feeling of being so beat you just have to stop.

She was truly dragging.

Never thought of taking a a scary picture of the clown at night. I'm always too busy taking pictures of the Todd and Paul scary chairs. You needed to include them all in the same update! :rotfl2:

Those chairs really freaked me out; I literally looked the other way when we walked through the lobby.

High! I'm subscribed, your on page 60 and I've read five pages and still do not know what new resort you tried. Had to say- the B&W marriage photo on page 1 is priceless.

:welcome::welcome:

Thank you; that black and white photo is a favorite of mine too. You can just see the delight in my son's face and fist pump that he got his girl.

The new resort we tried this trip I'm writing about is the Boardwalk; it was our first stay here. And we loved it so much that we will be back in September.

The girls look so cute with their sombreros and their tiara's. True princesses.

They truly are little princesses.

I'm glad you and the consumer enjoyed it! And good for you getting DIS time at work, legitimately (wish I could ;))

Belated Happy Birthday to your son !!!!!:goodvibes:banana::banana:

Thanks, Rosie. I think he had a good birthday.

I think the whole experience can give us a different "feel" for a restaurant too. The food wasn't bad, just eh. And we do have others we prefer. But I'm glad we tried it.

Love all your hat pics. I agree that china one on Mark is the best. Those are two very cute little girls. Love seeing them full of smiles.

Thanks; I have to agree, the China hat is a favorite. Those two sweeties have the most beautiful smiles.

The clown now makes since at the BW pool. I never knew it was a circus theme. As for the glowing eyes, kind of creepy and I love clowns.

I'm not afraid of clowns in general, but that one just freaks me out.

If Nikki can't off on Friday with you, I'll go shopping with you ;) I have Friday off as its my AWS Day.

Aren't you sweet? It turns out that Mark has a new customer so I will have to go with him to meet them, etc., so it won't matter what Nicki is doing.

Adorable little princesses with those tiaras. :flower3:

You look very happy with your slushie. Looks like a great way to end the evening with a stroll by the pool. I know I've seen the clown slide at night but I don't recall those creepy lit up eyes.

It's so funny that we were at the same resort basically the same dates and didn't run into each other coming and going sooner. ;)

I'm looking forward to hearing about the next day with your BIG surprise. I was glad to read about it on FB as I think it was the big news of the day.

I agree...they are adorable.

You look very happy with your slushie. Looks like a great way to end the evening with a stroll by the pool. I know I've seen the clown slide at night but I don't recall those creepy lit up eyes.

I'm always happy with a slush (or a turtle krawl); those were very creepy lit up eyes.

It's so funny that we were at the same resort basically the same dates and didn't run into each other coming and going sooner. ;)

I was surprised to; I kept looking for you every time we walked through the lobby.

I'm looking forward to hearing about the next day with your BIG surprise. I was glad to read about it on FB as I think it was the big news of the day.

I'm going to start the next day, but it will be an update or two before the "BIG" surprise.
