Thought I would say hi. I will be cruising this turkey day with my DH and DS, as well as my mom and dad. This will be our second Disney cruise and my parents' first.

:yay: Welcome. I saw you had posted on another thread, glad you are joining the group. This is our second cruise, first was with 2 of the grandkids. This time our group includes 4 grandkids, their parents, an Aunt & Uncle & two cousins, two adult best friends & two kid best friends & my 92 year old mother and DH.:rotfl:
So, welcome aboard.party:

Welcome eeyoremommy and family! How old is your DS?

Whew! We've got the last swim meet of the season today. It's a gloomy day -- not a great way to end the season, so I hope it clears up. I'm waiting for DD4 to wake up so we can meet DD10 and DH at the meet.

Saw HP6 with DD10 and again saw the preview for Princess & the Frog. We're both hoping we'll be able to see it onboard! popcorn::

I will likely be making our final payment next week -- nothing like a final payment to make it seem REAL!

Hope everyone is having a fun summer! (We know Rob is!) :)

Hi all,

Sorry, but I can't seem to find the link for the fish extenders...and I'm not sure if it would answer my question anyway. Andrew and I are making a little something for each family...but we also realize that some familes may have others cruising with them so....what I'm trying to find out is how many of our little items I should make. For example, I know that Chuck, Lisa and Mason are cruising together so that would be 1 item for their group. But someone else may have a friend (niece, nephew, etc.) coming along with their group. Can anyone enlighten me?

(And no, I'm not telling what we are making...it's something that I think is pretty neat that I learned how to make a few years ago!)

Karen

Karen, my group will have three fish extenders. My family, my SIL's family, and my friend's family.

I have a question for all of you experienced cruisers out there --

How many suitcases do you usually pack for your family? DH and I keep going back and forth on how many. I want to go buy new suitcases today or tomorrow while they're on sale at Kohls and I have a 30% coupon.

Hi everyone! ImaPrincess (sorry, don't know your "real" name), thanks for the link to the FE list. It actually helped a lot.

So here's what I think I know...I'm trying to break things up not by room but by family units or independent households...i.e., Rob and Priscilla and Rachel are 1 + Rachel's BFF would be 2 units):

Elsie has 2 rooms
Lisa D has 2 rooms
Patsy has 2 rooms (and 3 "family" units -- counting grandma)
Laura K has 3 rooms
Rob and Priscilla have 2 rooms (and 3 "family" units -- counting Rachel's BFF)
Chuck has 1 room
Sherri has 1 room
Paula has 3 rooms
Charlie has 1 room
Christine has 1 room
Jennifer has 3 rooms (and 3 "family units" counting grandparents and great-grandma?)
Pam has 1 room
Trace has 1 room
Leslie has 1 room

Hmmm...hey, what about Jodie Pillow's crew? Is anyone else missing? So that means that for my "big" FE gift, I need to make 22 things (+ 1 for Jodie). Is anyone else missing? Has anyone heard from Wendy and Larry and Lindsey lately? Are they still coming?

I'm I correct that we have 34 kids total (ranging in age from Flounders to the Stack?). Hmmm....I think I may need to get creative with kids this time around!

Thanks,

Karen

We packed one large, one medium, one small (pullman carryon) for our family of 4 (2A 2C). The large was borderline 50lbs, and thankfully SWA didn't weigh it on the way home. ;) (Sorry, I don't know the dimensions and don't want to run into the hot attic right now... :rolleyes1)

Since they were a set, they fit inside each other and stored under the bed? Or now that I'm thinking about it, they might not have fit so we stood them up in the closet. Either way, there was really only "one" bag to deal with in the room. The kids also had a backpack as a carryon.

Hope that helps! Happy shopping!

Hi, this is Judi, Jennifer's Mom, and you are correct about the 3 family units. Two of the units will be paticipating with the FE gifts, not sure about my Mom, the great grand mother, but I'll bet she will want to be a part of it, too I explain it to her.

Must go & finish the laundry:laundy:as we leave for Maine on Tuesday. Still lots to do.
