I was thinking of picking up a few things but had some price questions.
Is it cheaper to buy them online or from one of those kiosks at the mall? I see the kiosks, but feel like I am pressured to buy them when I look at it and the assortment is not that great.
What sort of tupperware items do you like and would recommend?

I would recommend Rock 'N' Serve. They are fabulous. They can go from the freezer to the microwave to the table. I put all my leftovers in them and take it to lunch. They are so nice. They are clear so you can see what's inside.

Hope this helps.

Lisa

Thanks Lisa. That sounds like a really good thing to have and it's good cause it's all in one.

There are usually sales online that are not at the kiosks, but for the non sale items, the price will be the same. I don't know if you pay a handling fee at the kiosk, but you will pay shipping from the online. They ship UPS Priority, my orders always get to me quickly. Right now on line has 4 things that if you buy one, you get something either free or 1/2 price. I believe there is at least one Tupperware dealer that is a Diser. I was a dealer many years ago. I love the products.

At the end of time, the only thing left on planet Earth will be roaches and Tupperware!

I don't know how the prices on-line are, but I do know that the kiosk prices are higher than what you would pay, lets say, at a party. I would suggest looking for a local consultant, letting her know you DO NOT want to have a show and are just interested in a few things. She/he should be more than happy to get you a catalog and take your order. I know as a Tastefully Simple consultant, I just love it when someone wants to order even one or two things.

I personally love their cups that come with the drip-less seals, they are all we use around my house.

I agree with the previous poster, get the rock-n- serve. They are without a doubt the best products Tupperware has EVERY made. I have about 10 of them, and it's the only thing I'll use now for leftovers. It's great, in the freezer or fridge, right to the micro!! I don't know about buying from the kiosk vs on-line. I'm lucky one of my good friends sells Tupperware, so whenever I want something, I just let her know. One note, the people who run the kiosks are independent Tupperware dealers and are required to go there. So, if you do order there, you'll be helping out an independent contractor.

The one Tupperware item that I absolutely love is their celery keeper. No more limp celery! It stays fresh for a long time.

Thank you everyone-I am going to check the online site and see what they have.
I know that one DISer was thinking of selling tupperware but I'm not sure what's going on with that, and I wanted to take some with us on our trip so will need to get them soon.

I think Target sells some Tupperware products. Maybe it is a little cheaper over there although I don't think they carry a huge selection.

Tupperware was sold in Target. They discounted it. This ended up costing the dealers in the area quite a few sales, so the project was scrapped. When I was a dealer, I was an independant contractor, and made a certain percent of every piece I sold. I assume that is still true. We were not allowed to have "private" sales, but that is essentally what Target was doing. The kiosks that were in my local malls in AZ were staffed by the local dealers, the percentage of profit was figured differntly, as rent on the space had to be paid, etc. Most of the kiosks are gone now also. Thank goodness for the internet! I found a local dealer here, she gets a percent of all my on line orders, and she doesn't even have to do anything for me.

I am one of the Tupperware DISers. My honest opinion of Mall kiosks is not to buy from there unless you have to have it right away. Both their prices and the online prices are a little higher than the catalog prices, but online there is no tax, lower shipping than catalog orders, and frequent sales. So it evens out-or comes darn close. I won't post my website because there may be more 'established' members than me here who are also consultants. But, if you have ??'s, PM me.

I was thinking with all these posts and everyone talking very highly of tupperware, would anyone be interested in a tupperware exchange? Or even hosting it?

I'm a Tupperware consultant up here in Canada. The kiosk prices up here are at least 10% more than catalogue prices in order to partially cover the mall overhead costs. As consultants, when we staff a kiosk, we are there on our own time and do not make any money on the sales there. We really are there in the hopes of meeting you and serving you as a customer outside of the mall. Feel free to take a catalogue and have us call you to take an order or host a party. Don't EVER feel you need to host a party for us. We're happy to take your order. I love to do a party, but only if you want me to and are excited about getting some Tupperware for free!
As for the products, I highly recommend the Rock 'n Serve that others have mentioned. They are so versatile. You can freeze them, microwave in them and store the leftovers in the fridge. The clear bases won't stain (no orange tomato sauce stains) and they are virtually unbreakable. In fact, if you somehow manage to break them, they have a lifetime warranty and any Tupperware consultant can have them replaced for you.
I also recommend the fridge smart containers. You'll be amazed at how much longer your produce will stay fresh. I promise!!
One more word about the warranty. Just about anything that Tupperware has ever made (as long as it's all plastic) is covered by a lifetime warranty against breaking, cracking, chipping or peeling. So, that old orange canister that is cracked from 1973 is still covered and can be replaced. NEVER throw any broken Tupperware away. I always feel so badly for people who have thrown out their old celery keeper etc. because it was old and chipped. Get it replaced!! I love to get people new stuff!!

I've found online to be nicer for me and cheaper but that probably depends on person. I LOVE MY ROCK AND SERVE, it was a wedding gift from a close from and now my DH is hooked. I also like the ceral saver since we buy at sam's club it helps.

HI,
I'm glad to see so many people still love tupperware as much as I do. The above posters are right about the kiosks and online being about 15% higher. I love just doing catalog sales and could send anything anywhere, however direct to the customer is also 15% shipping and to the consultant with in person delivery is about 10%. Pick up a catalog at the kiosk or look online and then call one of us and let us help you. Usually with a relationship with a consultant sometimes you can get a few little freebies thrown in or a discount on a larger order ( that's how I keep customers happy at least) Good luck.

If anyone here is interesting in a tupperware exchange, I had posted a sign-up.
