TSA pat downs on my daughter?

If the radiation is that big of a concern, why are risking the flight? You will be exposed to more radiation on the plane then in the new or old scanners. So if that is the issue you are deceiving only yourself

Augh. It's the *extra* radiation. People will accept a certain amount for certain things. A flight that gets you somewhere you want to (or have to) go. Dental xrays. Seeing if your bone is broken. etc.

But the EXTRA radiation does no one any good, and so many choose to take the radiation-free patdown instead.

Radiation is cumulative, and it's totally OK for people to choose not to accumulate any more than they need to.

WHY does it bother some people so much that there are those of us who will deal with a patdown?

Because there are so many people who say they will just take the pat down and then complain about being touched by the TSA agent.

For the safety of ALL the passengers you can not have it both ways. If you say you want a pat down instead of the scan you should be prepared to actually have the pat down.
