Trying to decide about CityWalk p.s. times!

I'm trying to decide what time to make our p.s. plans for our upcoming August trip. We'll be there the very last of the month and I'm expecting the two parks to close at 7:00pm.

My dilemma: make a p.s. for say 7:20 pm and head to City Walk directly from the parks, or head back to HRH to shower and change and make the p.s. for around 8:30??

My worry with the latter is that we'll be too tired to leave the hotel once we get there;) But if we go directly from the parks I'm worried we'll feel "parked-out".

Anybody have any experience with this? Or at what time the restaurants get the busiest?

From previous posts, I don't think you have to make PS arangements, but others that have went do advise to make reservations at peak times. Also, as a on-site guest, I think you will have automatic prior seating if you show your room key at most restaurants in City Walk, (I think HRC is the exception) and IOA, and USF. Hopefully someone who has been there will confirm what I've told you.....btw, have a wonderful vacation.:D

I'd suggest going straight from the parks, unless you're going to Emeril's in which case you might want to dress up a bit. Of course, Emeril's requires separate reservations, not priority seating. Going back to the hotel creates a powerful psychological urge to stay they. Of course, the room service at HRH is nothing to sneeze at and, if you ask, you can get anything that's on the Sunset Grill menu, which offers some very adventurous new-American cuisine in the evenings.

It's generally a better idea to make ps requests ahead of time. I'm not sure about whether flashing a HRH room card/key gives walk ups any special perks, but I would guess that if it did they'd be seated AFTER someone who had made a ps request for the same time.
