Tron AP preview thread

If memory serves me right, those that got emails got them right after registration opened, not before. I could be wrong though because I never get the emails.

I got the GOTG email 10-15 mins after registration opened.

With guardians and remy, I got an email about a week or 2 before saying that there were going to be previews for passholders and to keep an eye out for another email letting you know you can register. The 2nd email always comes a bit after registration is open.

App is not going to replace website. They will still send an email notice out

I got an email saying an email to register would be coming in the coming weeks with GotG prompting me to renew my AP as I knew it would be expired before preview dates

I did not get an email about GOTG. I was actually trying to update my resort and park tickets last year when I stumbled upon what was going on. I received an email about 30 minutes after it went live.

As an out of state passholder I really wish they'd communicate things a bit better. The closer we get the more expensive things get. Bit the bullet and planned a long weekend in March....hoping the stars align like it did for GOTG!

I agree, same for GOTG when we happen to be there during the DVC preview.

One thing that’s consistent about the notifications is not everyone gets them
their consistent thing is their not consistent

Same here. I live in Atlanta so it's not terrible, but I prefer to fly. I'll be there March 1-5 so I am really hoping for that first weekend!

We are there 3/10-13 for DGD bday trip
only DH and I can ride but we are still hoping to get a spot on a day we are there
if we can’t then we’ll have to plan a short trip just to ride
we did for the past 2 previews. Guardians was days before a scheduled trip for it’s opening day. No way to combine them

Ditto. Flight prices are going up exponentially. Would love to go in early March, but not booking it without knowing when the previews will be. For GOTG we were able to make a solid guess. Not so with this one.

Genuinely just wondering why not wait until after April 4 when you know the ride will be open? Is there something special about the AP previews? (We've never done one before.)

We already have trips planned in March and April, but they weren't planned because of Tron. Unfortunately our kids don't have APs but DH and I do so we'll try for the AP preview if it happens to align with spring break. Otherwise we'll just wait til April.

I’ll be off to Tokyo Disney Resort in April.

It is just fun going before everyone else can. If I don’t go in March, then I may go at the end of June. Otherwise, it will be in September.

For Gotg the AP preview was great, the line was shorter at least when I rode in the late morning / early afternoon and additionally they let you ride more than once, at least the day I was there. I heard you couldn’t do this on other days, so maybe they won’t on Tron but it was a really fun experience.

Nothing special per se but it's a perk that I like to take advantage of.
