Disney Marketplace, Chef Mickeys and swimming in the Hippy Dippy Pool
The food at Chef Mickey's was darn good. We went for brunch at 11:20 and I was really pleased. the only real problem was that there was a HUGE group in the back section and they were very possessive of the characters. But finally they (chip and dale and minnie) started coming around.
We had always hesitated about Chef Mickey's but it really was nice and not too bad of a value! And the girls ate their food with no complaints!
Sunday (9/12/04)
Arrived at MK around 8:30 a.m. Rode Dumbo and Splash Mountain (Zoe and Amanda were finally tall enough to ride), Aladdins Magic Carpets then we headed to Tomorrowland for Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear. Had an early lunch at Cosmic Rays and then Michelle and the girls saw Ariel while I rode Space Mountain. Then we rode Pooh. Saw Fantasmic and then it was off to MGM Studios.
Arrived at MGM around 2 p.m. Rode Rocking Roller Coaster and then headed over to play on the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Saw the parade at 3:30 and then we went to grab a snack since we had not eaten in 5 hours. Rode Tower of Terror and then it was back to MK.
Headed to Toontown Fair after the castle show. Saw all of the characters and rode Goofys Barnstormer. Amanda was determined to see Country Bear Jamboree which we did at 8:00 p.m. Let out just in time for Wishes. We were back to the POP by 9:25 p.m.
Well we were supposed to check out tomorrow. But by now it was pretty clear that Ivan was not going to bother Central Florida as much as had been expected. I called the front desk to see about staying longer. Of course CRO had blocked all new reservations but the cast member indicated that it was looking better to allow us to stay.
Monday morning the front desk called and said that rooms were available. So I called Delta and they said "sure you can change your flight." (they did, literally say that. go figure) so we decided to stay until wednesday.
Then we decided to head over to daytona to see what charley and frances had left of the most famous beach in the world.
