Treasure Detector Magic Update!!

I was just in the Tortuga Teleporters host room.. and I noticed Fin was wearing 2 star infinite use Treasure Detector Magic. (I wasn't thinking and I didn't get a picture of it )

I don't know if this is new news for everyone here at Dis.. but it is for me haha (and ps i went on to LOSE the host event..)

I've seen some staff wearing this pin and would love to buy it. I'm not really sure if they would because of all the payouts? But would be a great pin to have

Unless they change up the Prizes like they did for Pirate month.

That would be one expensive pin that is for sure! But I think I am with Pirate on this one - I bet they have it to help new players figure out what to do!

i doubt they would put it out because than if u had 5* it would probley be ever 5-10min and if kepp getting stuff that ould be unfair. Although if they did put it ot be over 10grand for sure

This person is new and has only 5 posts under their belt. Most importantly? They get it.

Congratulations, you are exactly right. The reason why VMK doesn't release Unlimited Use is because it would be used ALL THE TIME. The "people with the money" will buy multiple 5-star pins and would be able to use them constantly, bringing in enough credits to buy more "money machines."

All in all, unlimited use TDM will never make its way into our hands.

Also they could find ways to limit how many you could get, q button quest, once time ride-a-thon for one prize, etc.

There are plenty of other ways to get codes,
Ask family and friends
Ask the nice people at Blockbuster (the mean ppl will just lie to you lol)
Buy them on Ebay for like a buck
or
buy the DVD
Although I dont think rewards releases even the playng field at all..it all comes down to who can buy the most codes...
again with the "Rich getting richer"

I do think that they should release forever use TDM as a quest make it nontradeable and only alow 1 per player and let it be used the once per hour.
THAT is fair to everyone.

I'm not the biggest fan of the movie rewards thing either but it is one way to try and make it fair. Otherwise, it will still be the richer remaining the rich. Otherwise, like disneychick said make it not tradeable for forever.

Please not movie rewards! They don't do MR over here, so all us Brits would miss out! (OK, so I know this discussion is purely hypothetical and they may well never release unlimited TDM, but I wanted to put this out there because, as we know, VMK is always watching us! )

I disagree with the movie rewards as well. I do agree with a PP that a ride a thon or quest would be an even way of rewarding it. That it would be non tradeable and limited to 1 time use per day. As some of us know... you don't always get credits from TDM, so credits might not necessarily be rolling in unstopped. Tiki FOuntain anyone?

I have to agree and disagree with the movie rewards. I collect the movies, I have all of them on VHS and am getting there with the DVDs. I wish they had been doing something like this years ago, since I've been buying the movies for years anyway, and now finally I get a little more out of it then just the movie.
BUT not enough players are like me, so to release it through the movie rewards would be completely unfair.

And really, let's all think about it...If they allowed us to have TDM even to use once a day, do you really think the prizes would be all that great?? As cousinbb so wisely pointed out "tiki fountain anyone?" Even when it was single use they would give out stinky prizes. And let's all take a look at the ride-a-thon this past weekend, does anybody really need another pirate wall????
