We need more Turkeys to get this thread moving. I'm sure there are some who just haven't had the time to post yet.

And if you're looking for somewhere warm... our low today is 55. The high was low 70's. Winter has finally come to Florida. ;)

I won't see the 70's probably till spring break in 4 months!

So much for global warming... We have been quite cold down here all week and we have already had snow here in Texas! Had to break out the winter coats- Usually we are just singing "Dreaming of a White Christmas" not living it. Feel sorry for those poor people up north with all that snow.

Warming up here in Northwest Indiana! 4 degrees here and ONLY -8 windchill this morning......:rotfl2:Just missed the snow by about 50 miles, usually WE get it her in the "snowbelt" at the tip of lake michigan half way between Michigan and illinois

I guess instead of global warming we just have Florida warming. Normally I can turn my a/c off around early November. Not this year. I ran it this week. But if it's warm here, we know it'll be warm on our cruise next year. And I bet a lot of you are really looking forward to some tropical weather in the winter.

The two turkey cruises I went on were on the chilly side. Remember how cool it was at Castaway Cay the first time around- almost too cold to go in the water. We did the stingray excursion and our teeth chattered through it because of the wind coming off the water. It wasn't so bad when you were completely in the water or just sunning on the beach- but the in between was a killer. I was so glad that the double dip proved to be a lot more tropical!

Hi All! I thought it was too early for a Cruise Meet to be up, but here you all are! We took a 4-night Cruise this year for Thanksgiving and had such a fabulous time that we rebooked a 7-night for next year!

My husband and I will be traveling with our 3 (but almost 4 when we sail) year old daughter. She had a great time and keeps asking about "the boat."

I can't wait! The one bright spot about January and the post-holiday blues, is that we'll be one month closer to our cruise! Can't wait to meet you all!

Jennifer

Hi All! Just got back from a 3 night cruise the 17-20 and decided to book while on board and picked this 7 night eastern  We're so excited!!! DD is only 5 months right now but she did so well with this cruise it will be exciting to see how she does when she's finally eating solids. This will be our 4th cruise and we're also booked for the maiden voyage on the Dream :goodvibes

It will be
Me (Lauren)

DD- Lorelei 16 months on cruise

We want to do the FE too :thumbsup2

Suz D- we're in Morgantown too! we never really see anyone from WV on our cruises YAY!

Merry Christmas everyone! :santa: And welcome aboard! :welcome: We are having a white Christmas which is pretty amazing here in Texas! Looking forward to chatting with all of you in 2010! Happy New Year! party:

Merry Christmas to you! Ours was so hectic I thought maybe I should try a cruise for this holiday also. But not while the kids are young. Too many presents to fit in a cabin. We are having a warm Christmas. It was high 60's here.

Sitting here with my family waiting to count down to midnight! We are so excited to be in the same year as the sail date! Happy 2010!:yay::banana:

Hey Shay- are you staying warm enough down there in Florida? We got the big chill this morning and it is suppose to stay through Monday! Where are those tropical breezes when you need them! :confused3 I usually like the cold but this is too much- would love to spend the day on Castaway Cay with a cold drink in my hand- instead I am going to have to settle for a cup of hot cocoa!

There are actually rumors of snow flurries in Central Florida. That hasn't happened in about 20 years. I am not a big fan of cold weather. But I am a big fan of your idea of a cold drink at Castaway Cay! If I'm dreaming of more tropical weather, I can't imagine how those further North feel.

Shay- I hear ya about dreaming of tropical weather. It's 27 here right now but feels like 19. It literally has not stopped snowing since we got back from our trip to WDW. I would just like to see the actually sun for 1 day instead of gray skies.

We got the sunshine but surviving our second day of below freezing temperatures! I am so lucky- I get to go out and sell girl scout cookies with my DDs this weekend! Brr!

HerrQSmee- Good luck selling those cookies. I'm so jealous you can see the sun. I just see this blury light behind tons of clouds. I'm trying to lose weight and this no sun thing makes it really hard. It's a little depressing. :sad2:

Namsupak-welcome! Where do you live in WV? We're in Morgantown.

Happy New Year everyone! We just got back this afternoon from a week at WDW. BRRRR! We drove down so we were able to take warm clothes and be prepared, but it was still really chilly. Of course it was a wonderful trip regardless. We are value resort people, but we got a great rate at Port Orleans Riverside and at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We did a split stay and surprised the kids with an extra 3 days and a move to AKL. It was fun, but I don't know if we'd venture out of the values again. It's just not worth the extra $$ for our family.

We took the autotrain home. Has anyone else done that? It had lots of pros and several cons as well, but overall I really thought it was fun. Loved being able to watch "Up" as a family in the lounge car while drinking diet coke and playing Farkle.

Well, I'm off to catch up on a ton of household chores (including taking down our Christmas tree which I didn't get to before we left).

Enjoy a cold week again this week everyone!

Suz

At least you have a good excuse! What a wonderful trip! I am so jealous!

We use to live south of Huntington,WV in Ky. Never got that far north- always wanted to travel up to Morgantown.

Suz D- We're in Morgantown too. Originally from Charleston. My husband and I moved up here to go to school and just haven't left yet :rotfl: What do you do here in Morgantown?

Got some sort of stomach virus this weekend, but the snow has finally stopped!!! For now anyway
