Travelex Cash Passport card, or Post Office, or FairFx equivalent?

Anyone used one of these in WDW?

I asked a while ago about Traveller's Cheques, and by all accounts these are pretty much old hat now.

Don't want to take a huge wodge of cash, and don't want to just rely on the credit card (and put it into meltdown).

This is a pre-loaded card with US$ and is signature and pin protected, and backed by Visa...

Also just discovered that the Post Office do a similar card, and I've heard folks on here talk about FairFx (which apparently is backed by MasterCard)...

Just wondered if any fellow DISers had any experience of them? Are they accepted in the restaurants and resorts and shops etc? Can you get cash out of the ATMs? Haven't seen anything on the Travelex website which would suggest otherwise, but thought I'd ask the experts

Haven't used one of these but I used regular travellers cheques in Disneyland, California in Sept. Was planning to get them again for April.

After a bit more investigation and discussion last night, it's looking like we're veering towards the FairFx card... I'd rather have Mastercard than Visa Electron, as by all accounts Visa Electron is getting phased out.

I am leaning the same way. I will still take travellers cheques though as I do like the security of having them and they are used as cash pretty much everywhere in florida, being a tourist hotspot.
