We flew with them last week. Absolutely no problems. We have flown indirect before, usually with Delta or USAirways - TCD was much easier all round.

Flew with them last August - no problems. Booked a Fly-drive and then booked Pop through Small World Vacations. However, TCD are a lot cheaper than most other airlines flying to Orlando, and if you think about it:
The distance is the same as for other airlines
The fuel costs are the same
Aircraft leasing charges will be similar

Therefore they get their price down by having less customer facing staff and by working their planes a lot harder. This means:
A small delay on a incoming flight could delay your flight by a lot if you miss your take off slot (because the UK airspace is so crowded).
There will be precious few staff around to help you out if this happens.

BUT, they are cheaper - if you want better customer service, sadly you will have to pay more......

There is a punctuality spreadsheet on the CAA's webiste (I can't post the link as I don't have enough posts - but search for punctuality on the site)

Interestingly, Only 46% of Virgin's flights to MCO from Gatwick left on time in June, whereas 66% of Excel's (which own TCD) left on time to Sandford!

We used them for a last minute fly drive. Great service, only booked 2 days before we flew, they told us only seats available were bulkhead and we could not see the sceen. I have never had so much leg room on a flight, I would give up inflight entertainment any day for that legroom.
A small 2 hour delay coming home but still quicker than an indirect flight.
I would use them a lot more if they did more options, we go for 21-25 nights, they dont cater for us.

i have said this before , TCD were very good when we had our 9 hour delay good communication and food vouchers etc, planes are old but they fly free drinks whenever i would use them again but they couldnt beat my price i had with First Choice otherwise i would fly again with them.

we just got back today with tcd, great flights, cant disagree with them

We flew TCD last year in August from Gatwick, peak time. We upgraded as I like a bit of space but we had absolutely no delays either way. The only problem we had was immigration and collecting cases it took three hours from landing and we never did find out why, so I have no idea if this is the norm.

I think that flights from the UK all land at around the same time, so they just cannot handle it at Sanford. Cannot or will not, who knows!

We went with them last year with no delays.Going with them again in oct.A friend has used them 5 times with no problems so keep your fingers crossed.
