Travel Channel Fans Guide

FYI and I'm not sure why it is listed this way but here in MD it is on Tuesday at 10AM. I'm planning on taping it!! Thanks for the heads up!

This messege is for Dave Disney :earsboy: and Erika :earsgirl: ...

My family is a huge fan of the show.. We watched it after we came home from the world last time and since then myself, hubby and the kids watch it a bunch... We are going again in a few weeks! But just had to let you both know that we enjoy your 15 minutes of fame, probably 60 minutes!

Like another person wrote... We also use it as our Disney Fix...
::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :earboy2: :earsboy:

Dave & Erika... both of your families were great on the show. Don't you wish you'd have bargained for royalties now? LOL Could have paid for all of your WDW trips for a lifetime! :rotfl:

If you need help typing the title for searches, try:
Fan's Guide: Walt Disney World
That is how it is listed on my guide and now playing list.

I'm one of those who has it saved and gets a "fix" from it. My 5 yr old ds says he wants to "watch the Walt Disney World show with the maps."

The experience they gave continues to pay royalties. When we return to the park each time, we meet people who worked with us on the show. The experience backstage, being filmed in the park, and chatting with people who recognize us from the show are just some of the royalties we've received.

But that doesn't mean I wouldn't accept a role in a sequel someday! You in Erika?

Thanks to this thread, I popped in my Disney tape of Disney shows I've taped and I just finished watching the Ultimate Disney Fan show and before that I watched Disney weddings on the Food Network, Wedding Story on TLC, Disney Unwrapped on the Food Network and now I'm watching Samantha Brown's Christmas at Disney special on the Travel Channel!

Oh I can't wait for my next trip! :goodvibes

Oh sure, sign me up!!! ;) We have been going through major WDW depression here lately. Even though we were just there in May it seems like it was soooo long ago. We had planned to go last week but had to cancel because of dh's work schedule and also because our house has a huge hole in it! :rotfl: ((we're having an addition built on)) But we are planning to TRY and make it down in November or December. It's so hard to get away now that the kids are in school. Also because of the construction we're living in right now. But once the house is done I think the trip planning will come shortly after. ;)

Glad everyone liked the show!!! :earsgirl:

I remember seeing this special last year! I enjoyed! It's just kool to see families hanging out and seeing all the parks and rides. It's getting me ready for our Dec. trip!!

Dave and Erika,

I saw the show for the first time yesterday and I have to say I really enjoyed it. I taped it to watch again but I promise I won't be watching it everyday!! :rotfl:

Dave, I cracked up when you handed out your little schedules for the day!! :goodvibes

Add me to the list of people who watches that show over and over. I just have to take exception to one thing, Dave Dizney. It's not "bad" to name your cat (was it Raja?) after something DIsney. Lots of us nuts do it all the time! Right now, Tigger's inside and Simba's outside.

I finally saw the show on the Travel Channel! Great Job! How cool to be on that show.

Not that this is any surprise, but I keep getting questions about when our Fan's Guide to Walt Disney World will be back on the Travel Channel -- it will be on again tomorrow (Monday) at 4:00pm Eastern Time.

Wave when you see us! :wave2:

Being a big Poly fan I have to tell you that we really loved AKL. :) You won't be disappointed. Actually, on our last trip in May we stayed at Poly and AKL... on the rainy days AKL was better! We were soaked walking around the Poly grounds trying to run from building to building. So every resort has its good points. ;) Maybe split between the two??? :earsgirl:

I hear you - it is one of the sad dilemmas of life! Like Erika said, there are positive things about both places. Both places are IMHO the best themed resorts. Both have top dining places. You can't beat the convenience of the monorail and fireworks view at the Poly. You can't beat waking up to a giraffe out your window at the AKL.

These are the difficult decisions of life.

I'm not really much of an animal lover... my favorite part of the resort was just being indoors! ;) It was nice to be able to eat, shop, have a drink at the bar, walk around the resort, etc, etc, and not have to worry about the weather. Like I said before it rained a couple of days during our trip. But I love the Poly. :) It's definitely in my top 3. :earsgirl:

Got an email that our show will air again on December 8th at 5:00 pm. (EST) Still no word on the HDTV version though. It's a good thing we got a copy of it Dave because it looks like it won't ever air.

Thanks you guys....... I know we'd love both resorts. Actually, we had reservations at the Poly for our next trip, but we've gone through Katrina, and cannot afford it now. We are however NOT cancelling our trip......... we need it, and our little boy really needs it!!! A couple of days ago I changed resorts to the Pop Century, and while I"d rather it be at the Poly, we'll still be at the happiest place on earth........... and we can hardly wait, no matter where we lay our heads!!!!

In fact, DS wanted to watch you guys again last night................ so, we did!!! :earsboy:

OH, I do have one question, if I can post it here...... I don't mean to hijack the thread, but can you tell me if Dinosaur is really scary......... DS is 5, and he 's convinced he's riding it.......... but mom's not so sure!!!!!! :earboy2:

EDIT = I'd love to see the HD one, we have an HD tv and I LOVE to watch the Discovery Channel............ it's amazing, I'd love to see disney like that!!!

That's too bad - there are some great sections to version. Your kids in Tiki and my daughters (much rehearsed) tip on not crowding to get into Tough to be a Bug. Funny how nearly a year and a half has grown the kids from that show. Our daughter started Junior High this week.

Yes, the Dinosaur is one of the most intense rides at Disney. I mean, you're chased in the dark by freakin’ Dinosaurs! Our kids rode it when it opened, but later our daughter (who is fearless) of 6 chose to ride, and lived to tell the tale. It all depends on your kid’s constitution. The climax is still terrifying.

About the HD version, we begged for a copy of the edition, but I'm not sure if the copy we got was actually in HD (do you know Erika?). I would love to see it in HD, too - just for the experience.

Dave, he rode spiderman at US/IOA, and LOVED it......... would you say it's similar, as far as "intensity"? Thanks!!
