I understand Disney is hosting the trapped miners and their familes Jan 27-Feb 2. Does anyone know where they are staying?
Rumor has it that they'll be staying in the service tunnels underneath MK.

Really why? Don't get me wrong, I am glad they are alive and well, but I think there are so many more Americans who deserve a free trip to WDW. Anyone know how many trips WDW has given to kids who lost a parent in the war? Or a free trip to a disabled veteran, or a child with cancer??

Pretty much: They're getting a free trip because the cost of providing it to them is much less than the PR value Disney will derive from doing so.I think the reason the miners are getting the trip is clear, we are talking about it because it was such as well known incident.
For real?? What does it matter if they are Americans or not? Disney is never going to be able to give free trips to everyone who is "deserving" so why question or begrudge these miners this gift?

Disney Marketing must have caught on to the fact that they're missing the Blue Collar Chilean demographic. Once this nefarious campaign bears fruit, folks around here will be complaining about obnoxious tour groups from Chile.
