Transportation to Studios?

What is the best transportation to get to the Studios from Orlando airport. Do not drive, there will be 4 of us. We have used Mears to go to Disney, this will be our first to the Studios.

A taxi from the WDW to Universal is around $30-$35 for up to 5 people. Mears charges about $12 a person.

As far as Lynx bus goes, you can take Lynx 50 to the downtown bus station, then get on Lynx 40. Bus fair is $1.25 per person, and that includes a free transfer. Kids are only $.50, but there is no transfer for them, so it has to be paid each time they board. The trip will take around 2 hours, depending on trafic conditions, but it is cheap. Just keep in mind you must have exact change because the drivers do not make change. For other information, you can call them at 407-841-LYNX or check out www.golynx.com for the bus schedule. We will be going from Orlando airport to Royal Pacific hotel at Universal Studios and am looking into the best way to get there.

Mears might be your best bet from the airport if you are looking for cheapest. A Taxi will run about $35. Town car around $50. I would go with a tax though. They are already at the airport.

Beware of crazy taxi driver who drives 80 mph at 2 in the morning in the pouring rain with broken windshield wipers. He scared the crap out of us!!!
